"Can I he-help?"She spoke stammering a lot and I look at her shocked!
Why was she trying to behave so strong when she was not! Or maybe I was judging her wrong? She was strong..!
"Are you sure Mam?"Nurse asked and she nodded determinedly..
"Oky..!"She agreed as Doctor too gave his approval and I stared at her face..! She was not looking at me as she unbuttoned my shirt. Her eyes were blood red! But she was not crying! Nurse and Doctor told her how to give dressing the wound! She heard and noticed all the instructions with great patience..!
"Doctor when will you discharge me?"I asked after they were done with their task. I laid down and Nandini sat beside me..
"Mr.Malhotra..! Bullet wounds take time to heal..! You won't get a discharge until I will be satisfied..!"Doctor spoke in a very strict tone and I made a bad face.. "I will send the breakfast and medicines! Get well soon young man..! And Mrs.Malhotra for you..! I want to salute you..! I mean I have seen ladies fainting when they normally face these kind of incidents but you..! Your patience! You even helped us in everything! Your patience and care will help him to heal very soon..!"Doctor appreciated Nandini and I held her hand over my chest..! While she was sitting with a low gaze..!
"Yes doctor! My girl is very strong! She can face and tolerate everything! Please help me heal soon..! I want to be fine for her..!"I said all the time staring at her face and she was staring in her lap..! After greeting us Doctor left..! She look at me and smiled weakly..! She bent down and pressed her lips on my forehead..
"How can you act so strong?"I asked blinking my eyes..

"Ab dard tou ni ho raha?"She asked caressing my hair and I shook my head like baby. I love to show her tantrums..! "Ap rest karen! I will come after few minutes..! Mjy washroom jana hai..!"She said after a pause and was about to get up when I held her hand more tightly..
"Promise karo that you won't cry..! Mujh say chup kar tou bilkul bhi nahi..! "I said to her as I knew her very well and she looked away...
"I won't..!"She smiled at me finally and I kissed her knuckle..
"Thank you..!"I whispered lovingly. She mouthed an I love you and went out..! The nurse came with breakfast and volunteered to help but I denied as I wanted Nandini to feed me. I asked nurse to look for her and she went out nodding her head. I was texting with Cabir when suddenly the door opened with a jerk and the person who came in left me shocked..
"Manik..!"She shouted and came running towards me..
"Mom..!"I mumbled and she hugged me tightly. My breath! It was lost! After so many years I got her warmth..!
"Kesy ho beta?"She asked me all the time crying and I gently broke the hug..
"Ap k ex-husband ny tou poori try ki the mery Friend ko maarny ki but I saved him..!"I spoke looking away and she sobbed again..
"Manik please..!"She was crying like anything but..
"Ja kar Apny Ex-Husband ko bool dijye that I will take revenge for each tear of my girl! Us kay har aansoo ka badla loon ga main! aik baari is bed par say uth jaoan..! It's the only hurdle between me and his NECK! You may leave now!"I spoke scrunching my lips and look away in disgust! She had tears in her eyes but I don't care! Nandini kay tears kay samny wo sab kuch bhi nahi!
"Oky..! But aik baat jo ma-main tum say poo-poochna chahti hoon! Plea-please I ne-need yo-your sincere answer!"She spoke and I felt my heartbeat rushing! I knew what she wanted to ask..! "Kya tum mj sa-say bil-bilkul bhi pya-pyaar nahi karty?"She asked cupping my cheek and I was forced to look at her..! I can't lie! But I didn't wanted to fall weak infront of her! Atleast not now! I wanted to tell her that I needed her in every step of life! But I won't! Yes I won't!
"You know! I had always thought kay jo bhi ho! Atleast my Mom won't leave me alone but! Thank you for proving me wrong! I don't know why you and Dad hate me so much! But still..! I want you to leave now!"I was shattered even I had the right to spit my anger..
"I don't hate you..! I love you darling..!"Her words and gestures were making me weak..
"Please just leave..!"I shouted and before I could say anything I saw all my buddies coming in..! They were laughing on something and when they saw Mom they stopped on their tracks..
"You guys come..! Am just leaving..!"Mom said getting up and wiped her tears. I wanted to stop her but I couldn't and she walked out..!
"Kesa hai?"Cabir and Jack both asked together as they sat on my either sides..! While I nodded...!
"Where is Nandini? We had brought food and clothes for her..!"Alya said and Mukti picked up the breakfast tray to fed me..
"Washroom tak gai hai..! But abhi tak wapas nahi I..!"I too was worried now..! Then I look at Tiger who was quietly sitting on the couch staring at me..! "Tum sab jaoa and find Nandini..! Tiger say baat karni hai mjy..!"I said to all of them and they all left except Mukti and Tiger..! Mukti was feeding me and I stopped her..
"Kab tak chaly ga ya sab?"I asked to Tiger and he looked away..
"I am sorry Manik..! Aik baari phir say me tjy protect ni kar paya..!"He whispered sadly and I shook my head..
"Why sorry? Q soch raha hai tu aisy..! Buddy..! Tum sab say ziada important kuch nahi hai mery liye..!"I said putting my hand on his shoulder..
"Kal raat say main isy samjha rahi hoon..! But his guilt is killing him Manik..!"Mukti was hell worried..
"Buddy..! Dekh..! Jo bhi hua! The thing is I am ok..! You are ok..! Everything is good and fine now..! Tu tou strenght hai meri..! Tu weak par jye ga tou me Nandini ko kesy sambhaloon ga? Haan? In duffers ko kesy sambhaloon ga?"I asked playfully and he finally smiled..!
"Thank you for coming back Manik..!"He spoke emotionally and I hugged him tightly..!
"Tjy dard tou nahi ho raha ziada?"I asked still hugging him.
"Nahi..! Gooli choo k guzri the bus!"He said casually and I broke the hug..! I cupped his cheeks and smiled..
"Main tum sab me say kise ko kuch nahi hony doon ga I promise..!"I said smiling at him and suddenly the door banged open..!
"Mukti..! Come fast..!"Alya shouted worriedly and we all look at her confused..
"What happened?"I asked confused..
"Nothing..! Girls talk..!"Alya faked the smile and run out with Mutki..!
"What happened to them? Kya hua sab ko?"I asked worriedly and Tiger got up.
"Aa jayen gay..! Tu medicine lay..!"He said handing me over the medicine and I gulped it down..
"Please..! Nandini ko bula na..! Mjy fikar ho rahi hai us ki..!"I was not getting good vibes..!
"Acha acha! Main dekhta hoon..! Tu relax kar..!"He said to me and my heart beat was wild..
