Indirect kiss😆
It's already dinner time and Nandini looked at the watch. Suddenly she saw a food service assistant pushing a trolley with food on it and he is serving the nearby rooms and reached outside the room where Nandini was sitting. Nandini opened the door and the man pushed the trolley inside and brought near his bed. He was now wide awake and smiled seeing Nandini coming in with the attender.
'Aap isko yehi chod deejiye..I'll serve' Nandini said to the food service assistant. The man left from there as per instructions closing the door behind him.
He was was looking at Nandini as she served the food on the tray to him and Nandini looked back at him and indicated to him to eat. He nodded in a 'No' just like a kid.
'Khaao' Nandini said softly to him.
'Pehle ye bataao...kya mera naam sach main Manik hai?' he asked with a questioning look on his face.
'Nahi...maine aise tumhaare naam rakhe' Nandini said to him as she sat on the chair near the bed.
'Tho doctor ne kyon bola ke mere naam Manik Malhotra hai aur tum mere room mate ho!' he said with a questioning look on his face.
'Tum mere ghar ke saamne mujhe ek box main mile...I took you inside as you were injured. Mujhe nahi pata ke tum kaun ho...tumhaara naam kya hai. Phir tumko hosh aaye..aur uske baad tum phirse behosh hue injury ke wajah se. Yahan hospital main laana pada..aur yahan pe aake..hospitalwaalon ne tumhaare naam pooche...tho maine Manik Malhotra bol diye..aur phir relation pooche tho bol diye ke tum mere room mate ho' Nandini explained the whole truth.
'Oh..ok...tho Manik Malhotra naam..tumne aise hi rakhe...Manik Malhotra tumhaare boyfriend ke name hai kya?' he asked with a little smirk.
'Nahi..mere puppy ka naam hai Manik aur Malhotra..maine aise hi add kiye' Nandini said looking into his eyes. His eyes...so innocent just like that of Manik's.
'Puppy ke naam? Aur koi naam nahi mila kya?' Manik asked with a look of disbelief on his eyes.
'Kyon? Achcha naam tho hai Manik' Nandini said in a casual tone.
'Haan..hai..magar tumne tho mujhe puppy bana diya' he said with a little complaining pout on his lips.
'Haan tum box ke andar mile aur puppy bhi tho box ke andar mil sakte haina? Kisiko box ke andar koi insaan tho nahi milte na?' Nandini said with a little smile on her lips.
'Achcha? So now I'm your puppy..then feed me' he said with a little smirk on his face.
'Feed you? Tumhaare haath tho hil sakte hai..tum khud hi khaalo' Nandini said with a frown on her face.
'Arre...main puppy hoon..tho mujhe feed karne padenge..warna main hospitalwalon ko bataa doonga ke tumne jhoot bole hai' he said in a tone of warning.
'Nahi tum aise nahi kar sakte' Nandini said rising up.
'Nahi karoonga..agar tum mujhe feed karoge tho!' he put forth a condition.
'Ok..' Nandini said. She first washed her hands and then wiped them with a towel and sat facing him. Nandini broke the roti in the plate and dipped it in the mixed vegetable curry and stretched towards him. Nandini noticed the smirk on his face as he moved closer and his lips came into contact with her fingers. He slowly took the piece of roti off her fingers into his mouth. That first contact of his lips on her fingers made Nandini feel awkward. Nandini again dipped the roti in the curry.
'Hmm wait...tumne tho khaaye nahi na...tho hum ek saath khaayenge' he said with a smile.
'Nahi...mujhe bhookh nahi' Nandini said suddenly.
'Arre aise kaise? You are feeding me..and if you don't eat then it won't be fair' he argued.
'Nahi its ok' Nandini said suddenly.
'No..its not ok.' he said and suddenly took the roti from her hand and extended towards her.
'But puppy doesn't feed humans' Nandini argued back.
'Muh kholo aaa' he said opening his own mouth. Nandini's memory went back to that of her chachaji who would always make her eat food when she was a small kid and he would say the same phrase that he said now.
Without she herself realizing Nandini opened her mouth as she took the piece of roti from his hand. He suddenly smiled as he suddenly commented: 'Ok...first kiss is nice! Your puppy is impressed!' 😆
Nandini stopped chewing as she looked with eyes of disbelief at him as she muttered 'Kiss?'
'Haan...U just now kissed my fingers na?' he asked with a smirk😛
'No I didn't. I just...' Nandini's words stuck in her throat just like the food😆'
'Ok ok...eat properly. I was just kidding' he said suddenly as he saw Nandini choking on the food. He quickly took the glass of water and gave to her. Nandini drank the water as she continued to look at him.
'Arre yaar..iss tarah mat dekho...warna mujhe pyaar ho jayega' he said with a little smirk. Nandini looked away as she continued to drink the water.
'Ayyappa..kaise ladke ke saath mujhe phasaa diya' 😕
'Achcha abhi mujhe feed karo' he said looking at her.
Nandini once again dipped the roti in the curry and fed him. He took one more piece of roti and tried to feed her. Then suddenly she took the roti from his hand and ate it.
'Hmm...so it really was a kiss and you don't want to kiss your puppy anymore' he said with a little pout on his face.
'You are not my Manik!' she said suddenly with a frown on her face.
'Hmm...am I not?' he asked with a questioning look on his face.
'No..' she said once again.
'Then..no need to feed me...U can leave me here and go. I am a noone to U' he said with a frown on his face as he broke the piece of roti and dipped in curry and ate silently.
Nandini felt bad for once again speaking rudely to him. But he is speaking so shamelessly and what else to do..other than to speak rudely to keep him in limits.
'Achcha..ye bataao' he said suddenly breaking the silence 'kal main discharge ho jaaoonga?'
'Haan' Nandini said 'Kyon?'
'Hmm...uske baad main kya karoonga?' he said with a confused look in his eyes. 😕
'U must go...' Nandini replied to him as she ate the roti.
'Hmm..par kahan jaaoonga? Mujhe nahi pata..ke mere ghar kahan hai..main kaun hoon...tho main kahan jaaoonga?' he asked with a questioning look in his eyes.
Nandini didn't know what to answer him...not in the night...nor the next morning.
Even as the rays of the morning daylight touched him through the hospital window and Nandini looked at his face. The only question that now was in her heart was...'what should I do now?'😕
He was glowing as the first rays of the sunlight touched his face and woke him up. The whole night since dinner...Nandini could not sleep as this question disturbed her. The doctor came into the room and said to him 'Good morning, Mr. Malhotra'
'Good morning, doctor...' he said as he rubbed his eyes and sat up on bed with a smile on his face.
The doctor had the results with him and the tests showed that most of his injuries are healed. But a shock to his head from his head hitting something has caused him to lose his memory.
'But Mr. Malhotra..the happy news is..within a few days or perhaps in a few months..your memory has a possibility of returning back' the doctor said with a smile.
'Oh..thanks, doctor!' he said with a huge smile on his face.
'Thanks mujhe nahi..tumhaare iss roommate ko bolne chahiye. She is very dedicated. She took care of you nicely and I'm sure that soon with her help..U can remember everything! She will remind you everything about you..haina ms. Nandini?' the doctor said looking at her.
Nandini nodded her head in a 'yes'...but her mind was asking...'remind him? I don't know who he is...so what will I remind him? And...what will I do with him? Ayyappa..please give me an answer..please help me' 😕
