Heya evryone..well m back again with my new chapter and ya guys this time I'm posting it here bcz I really hope that my silent readers have learnt there lesson and will definitely respond me this time so guys pls prove me right so that I can continue giving u my updates or else I'll have to stop doing it..bt anyways enough of heavy tlks for nw so lets began with the story..
Chapter 60
After breaking the hug,fab4 strtd teasing Manik while Manik for the first time without retorting them back ws jst silently blushingly listening to their teases.
Mukti:Yaar Manik..tu to full on romeo ban gaya hai yaar..i mean tera song sunke jo tujhe nahi bhi jaanta hoga na vo bhi samaj jayega ke tu apni juliet se milne ke liye kitna tadap raha hai..
Manik jst smiles shyly while Cabir not leaving such a chance to irritate him ws jst abt to tease him wen Dhruv then coming in rescue to his buddy said
Dhruv:Okk guys..stop nw..dnt tease my buddy more.. already he is in a bad state so nw pls dnt irritate him more okk..
Manik smiled proudly listening to his buddy while others jst glared Dhruv for spoiling their fun so Cabir irritatedly mumbled
Cabir:Lo aagaya topiman apne buddy ko bachane...seriosuly Dhruv nowadays ur always spoiling my fun too much yaar..so dekh agar tu aisa hi karta raha na then m telling u next time se mere teases ka target Manik nahi tu hoga..
Mukti agreed with her evil twin while Manik jst shooked his head in disbelief. Dhruv jst lookd at Cabir terrifiedly by liestenign this bt Alya then saving her shy baby said sternly to Cabir
Alya:Shut up Cabir..dnt scare my baby this way..and u Manik jst dnt bother abt them and jst go and call Nandini..coz only then u'll feel better okk..so jst go and tlk to her
Manik mumbled a thank you to Dhrulya and agreeing to her left from there by glaring both the evil twins to call his star.
Meanwhile Nandini ws in the gals washroom and ws continuously sprinkling cold water on her face to get her mind ontrack as aftr listening to Nyonika's past all her nerves were jst too numb to react.She ws juggling with her thoughts wen suddenly her phone strtd ringing and seeing the caller id she didn't knew whether she should smile or cry bt still controlling her emotions she took the call as she couldn't let him knw abt her mental state nw.So she with a weak tone spoke
Nandini:Hello Manik..
Manik on the other side listening to her feeble voice got concerned and said
Manik:Hello Nandini..are u fine jaan..
Nandini got startled listeing him asking this bt still maintaing herself she said calmly
Nandini:Ofcourse m fine..muje kya hoga..bt tum aise kyu puch rahe ho..
Manik still had a weird feeling abt her being fine bt chucking the thoughts he believed her and said smilingly
Manik:Nothing jaan..vo bas tumhari awaz sunke thoda worried hogaya tha coz kal raat se tumse baat jo nahi hui and then tumne morning me mere msg ka reply bhi nahi kiya to thoda aur tensed hogaya tha..
Nandini felt relived seeing him not doubting her anymore bt the guilt inside her ws still making her feel weak bt thinking that the situation is too sensitive nw so she lied to him
Nandini:Vo m sry Manik..actually I ws in a lil hurry in mrng and then got busy with Rishabh's checkup and thtsy didn't got time to reply u..so m really sry..
Manik smilingly:Arey chill nandu..its okk..i can understnd and by d way tell me hw ws Rishabh's check up and wat did Dr. said..and wen will u come here..
Nandini wiping the tears from the corner of her eyes for again lieing to him said slowly
Nandini:Ya Manik..everything went well and Dr.said that he is showing progress and he will get fine soon..and ya I'm leaving from hospital nw so aftr dropping Rishabh at home..i'll come at ur place okk..
Manik happily:Oh thts gr8..so come fast m missing u okk..bye love u..
Nandini sadly:Bye love u too..
She cut the call instantly and strtd sobbing badly by seeing her reflection in the mirror
Nandini:M so sry Manik..muje tumse itna jhoot bolna pad raha hai bt I dnt have any other option..jo kuch aaj muje pata chala hai agar vo jab tumhe pata chalega then I dnt knw hw will u react..so to handle u first I have handle myself so pls aiyappa give me strength ke mai sahi decision le saku..pls be with me..
With this she then quickly got herself freshened up and left from there as Nyonika ws still waiting for her outside.Nandini ws walking through the corridor still lost in her thoughts wen suddenly she dashed into someone making both of them landing on the floor with their stuffs scattered around.Nandini yelled an oww and ws cursing herself for being so absentminded.While she ws busy in scolding herself,suddenly her eyes felled on the person lying beside her bcz of her clumsiness and realising her mistake she immediately closed her eyes in fear and like always got strtd with her apologies and and then avoiding his gaze started gathering her stuff.The other person jst smiled seeing her innocence and said its okk.He then himself stood up and then offered his hand to Nandini to get up too.Nandini too aftr grabing her all stuff took his hand smilingly while looking down in embarassment mumbled a thank u along with a sry.The person again smilingly jst placed his hand over her head and caressing her hairs said sincerely
Person:Its okk beta..hojata hai kabhi-kabhi..u need not to apologise so much for this okk..
Lsitening to such a matured yet humble voice Nandini smiled and finally looked up at him and found a tall,handsome man in his early 40's standing infrnt of her in a rich 3 piece suit looking at her with a warm smile.Nandini kept staring at his face as she found it quite familiar.Her trance ws broken by some guards voice who suddenly rushed over the place and where checking if that person ws fine or not.She then realized hw stupidly she ws staring him so to avoid further embarassment she quickly handed over his phone which had fallen down too on their clash and again whispering a big sorry she left from there without turning back while the man still had a smile while watching her leave.
Nandini quickly reached to their table where Nyonika ws sitting lost in her thoughts.Nandini then shook her out of her thoughts and asked hesitantly
Nandini:Mam.. actually I need to leave nw...vo Manik and my frnds are waiting for me..so I hope its okk with u..
Nyonika smiling to her said:Oh ya ofcourse..and Nandini pls dnt call me Mam nw as we are not at collge nw and moreover I dnt think tht there is anymore formality left between us nw so ya pls call me aunty okk..
Nandini ws a bit astonished listening this bt then agreeing to her hesitantly said
Nandini:Okk mam..i mean aunty..so can we leave nw..
Nyonika smilingly:Thts better..so comeon I'll drop u home..
With this both of them left from there and headed towards Nandini's home.Soon aftr dropping Nandini,Nyonika left from there to her office while Nandini quickly hopped inside her home and went straight inside her room as she really wntd some alone time and think wat she shud do next.While she ws still busy in her thoughts suddenly Chachi came to her room and asked her anxiously
Chachi:Arey Nandini tu aagayi aur tune muje bataya nahi..chal chod ab bata ke kya hua..
Nandini ws not knwing from where to strt speaking as she herself ws hell confused.And seeing her lost Chachi understood there is something really serious and she herself needs some time to cope up with it.Suddenly Chachi remembered somthing and thought to divert her mind with it so asked her
Chachi:Vaise nandu tu Manik ka phone kyu nahi utha rahi thi...vo bichara kabse tujhe call kar raha tha..kitna panic ho raha tha vo isliye usne phir yaha gharpe call karke muje puchne laga ke tu hospital se lauti ya nahi so maine kisi tarah usse samjha diya ke tu bas aati hi hogi..
Nandini finally came out of her thoughts listening to her and said confusedly
Nandini:Bt Chachi maine usse hotel se nikalne se pehle baat to ki thi and aftr that I didn't got his any calls to fir usne aisa kyu kaha..
Chachi too got confused and said:Ha usne bola tha ke tune usse ek bar baat ki bt uske baad jab usne fir vapis tujhe bohot bar call try kiya tha tab tune pick hi nahi kiya..
Nandini looked at her strangely as she clearly remembered that since she had left from hotel she hadnt received any calls bt still she thought to check her phone so she quickly grabbed it from her bag and wat she saw made her freaked out and she said loudly
Nandini:Oh shitt Chachi..ye to mera phone hai hi nahi..
Chachi too got worried and asked:Arey ye kya bol rahi hai..agar ye tera phone nahi to kiska hai..
Nandini then thought for a while and then remembered her collision with that man in the hotel and hw she had returned his phone which ws dropped bcz of her.Soon then realization hit her tht instead of his phone she had bymistakly exchanged her phone with him.Realizing her blunder,Nandini jst face-palmed herself and said sadly
Nandini:Aiyappa..wat did I do..matlab hw can I be so dumb to not check my phone once...ab mai kya karu..i to dnt even knw who that person ws..so hw will I get my phone back..
Seeing her sulking this way, Chachi jst shook her head in disbelief and said
Chachi:Arey nandu tu ye bekar me itna worked up kyu ho rahi hai..simple si baat hai ki jaise uss ajnabi ka phone tere paas hai to ussi tarah tera phone bhi to uss ajnabi ke paas hoga na so bas tu ab unke phone se apne phone par call kar aur pata kar ke vo kaha hai aur jake unse milke apna phone le aa..
Listening to her simple solution Nandini jst slapped herself mentally for not thinking abt this herself.So she looking at Chachi embarassingly jst nodded her head and quickly turned on that phone to dial her no. bt as soon as the phone turned on wat she saw next on it jst left her shocked.She stared the wallpaper of the phone for quite a while and the next words which came out of her mouth ws,"Nyonika aunty..".Yes the wallpaper of the phone ws containing a pic of that man with Nyonika along with a lil boy of around 3 yrs.Her eyes fell on the lil boy's smile which reminded her of someone very much and then it didn't took long for her to realize who they were as nw it ws crystal clear for her that the lil boy with Nyonika ws none other than Manik which clearly indicated that the man in the picture ws Manik's dad ie.Raj Malhotra himself.She nw understood y that man's face ws seeming so familiar to her coz Manik had inherited all his traits from his father's genes.She ws busy analysing everything wen Chachi shook her out of her thoughts and asked her
Chachi:Arey nandu..tu phir se kaha kho gayi..aur tu ye phone ko aise kyu ghur rahi hai..jaldi se call kar na..
Chachi's voice brought back Nandini from her trance and she then realized wat a mess she had got herself into as she not only bumped into the one person who she really shdnt meet and also she had left her phone with him which meant that she had to meet him again.With this realisation she went in a panic mode and not answering to wat chahci asked she jst strtd murmuring
Nandini:Oh no Chachi..wat have I done..i need to get my phone back asap..agar Manik ne phirse call kar diya and this time if his dad picked it up thn both of them will knw abt eachother and if Manik asked ke hw did my phone went to his dad then wat will I tell him..oh no evrything will be a mess then..
Listening to her non-stop blabbering,Chachi got a faint idea that Nandini's phone ws with Manik's dad which nw confused her more that if she went to meet Manik's mom then where hw come she met his dad.Bt keeping her queries at bay for a while Chachi asked her to get relaxed abit bt Nandini not paying any heed to her quickly took the phone and dialled her no. worriedly.Soon it got connected and aftr a few rings it got answered.She heard a deep manly matured voice saying Hello' from the other end which increased Nandini's nervousness bt still composing herself she said quickly
Nandini:Hello..sir actually I dnt knw if u have noticed it or not bt bymistakly our phones had got exchanged with eachothers in hotel and m really sry for the mishap as its all bcz of my carelessness..so can we pls meet and get our phones back..
she said evrything in a go and closed her eyes in fear waiting anxiously to get blasted for her stupidity bt to her surprise she got something else as instead of accusing her for her supposed blunder Raj softly said
Manik's:Its okk beta..it happens so relax..in hotel too u were apologising for no reasona nd even nw u are being worried for such a lil mistake..bt anyways even I too realized jst nw that its not my phone and even I ws gona inform u abt it bt its good that u urself did it and nw abt exchanging it again then if u dnt mind then can we meet me again at the same hotel nw to exchange it..or if u wnt we can meet somewhere else too..its upto u..
Nandini ws a lil taken startled listening the way he ws tlking to her as not for a moment she felt that she ws tlking to the biggest bussiness tycoon of India who should have been quite pissed on her for making him lose his phone as he might get some important bussiness calls bt here he ws tlking to her so sweetly as if he ws the most descent man on earth.Bt then Nyonika's words ringed in her mind reminding her of the cheap tricks which he had played on her and all the painful memories of Manik flashed infrnt of her eyes which jst changed her reaction from awe to disgust for him.Bt suddenly her thoughts were broken by Raj's voice who ws still on call and ws waiting for her response so she brushing off her thoughts said calmly
Nandini:Oh ya..its completely fine with me so okk I'll see u there in a while..
Saying this she quickly cut the call and left a heavy sigh of relief.Chachi ws jst staring her blankly as evrything ws going over her head bt still she maintained her silence wen suddenly Nandini said
Nandini:Oh shit aiyaappa..maine abtak Manik ko to call kiya hi nahi..vo to pata nahi ab tak kitna worried ho gaya hoga as he must be waiting for me..bt nw again I have to leave to meet his dad so I had to inform him abt my delay..
Finishing her blabbering Nandini again turned on the phone and ws dialing his number wen she saw that his number ws already feeded on it with the name "Champ" on it.Again reality hit her and she remembered that its his dad phone and if she called him through this then she'll get herself in the most biggest blunder so she quickly turned off the phone and ran downstairs to call him through the landline.Chachi too silently followed her while Nandini ws busy in calling Manik.On the first ring itself Manik answered the call and spoke in a worried tone
Manik:Hello Chachi..nandini aagayi kya...agar ha to pls give her phone na pata nahi vo mera phone kyu nahi utha rahi hai...
Nandini then cutting him between said:Hello Manik..relax its me Nandini..
Manik ws finally feeling relieved aftr hearing her voice bt again getting back to her angry mode he shouted her
Manik:Wat the hell Nandini..wats wrong wit u i ws calling u since so long..so y were u not recievng it..do u have any idea hw much worried I ws..
Nandini felt guilty listening him as his anger ws justified and also this time she had many other more reasons to hide from him which were jst increasinf the guilt in her so she sadly mumbed him a sry.Listening to her sad voice Manik's anger vanished within air and he himself felt bad for shouting her so he softening his tone said
Manik:Its okk..and ya I'm sry too I shdnt shout at u this way bt I ws really worried for u..
Nandini trying to sound normal said:Manik u dnt need to say sry..ur right at ur point bt wat can I do vo actually at hospital bymistakly my phone got exchanged with someone and I didn't even noticed it and it ws aftr coming back at hom only wen chahci informed me abt ur call that I found out thts its not my phone which I'm carrying..
Nw this again made Manik to lose his cool so he bursting at her said
Manik:Wat.. like seriosuly Nandini..wassup between u and phones huh.. I mean hw can u be so careless ki kabhi phone ghar par bhul jati ho to kabhi canteen me and this time to u jst left it with someone else only..matlab bata hi do tum ki akhir tumhe problm kya hai apne phone se..
Nandini made an angry pout listeing him taunting her this way so she irritatedly said
Nandini:Okk na baba..i realised my mistake so stop taunting me..
Manik getting furious said sarcastically:Oh ya so finally u realised ur mistake bt itni jaldi kyu aur ek do baar phone khone ke baad realise karti na..its not a big deal right I mean sirf phone hi to hai jisse ham ek dusre ke bare me pata karte hai ke whether they are fine or not bt who cares as we dnt need it right..atleast u to definitely dnt need it..
Nandini ws nw getting both angry as well as upset listeing him bt still she knew that his anger ws much more worse and calming him down nw ws more important so she said cutely
Nandini:Maaaniikkk..i said na m sry..pakka from next time I'll never lose my phone..
Finally her cuteness did the wonder as never ever can Manik resist her cute antics which wud always clean bowled him so finally giving up he said
Manik:Okk fine..so tell me ab kya..
Nandini smiled lsitenign him getting back to normal so she said casually
Nandini:Ab kya..i'll jst go and meet that person and get my phone back from him thts it..
Listenign her going to meet a stranger that too a male one made the possessive bf to come out so he strictly said
Manik:Wait wat do u mean by u'll jst go and meet him...no way I'm gona let u go to a stranger that too alone..no never...so u jst wait at home I'm coming with u and will both go togther..
Nandini's eyes shot open listening that he is coming with her as she cant let him knw with whom her phone is exchanged so lettting him come with her ws like a big no for her so she quickly denied him
Nandini:No Manik u cant come..i mean u dnt need to come with me as I jst had a tlk with that person and he said that he will meet me in the hospital only and Manik before u get all possessive and protectve then let me tell u that he is an aged man almost of my dad's age so u dnt need to worry abt my safety okk as I'll jst go and take it and will directly meet u at home na..
Manik ws taken aback seeing her refusing this way bt then understood that watevr she said ws somewhere correct too so he then taking a pause then answered her
Manik:Okk fine if u say so bt wait hw did u knw that the person with whom ur phone got exchanged is quite older
Nandini with a sheepish smile said:Vo actually Manik bcz in hote..i mean in hospital I bumped with him na and that time only our phone got exchanged so thtsy I knw it..
Manik jst shook his head in disbelief listenign her back-to-back careless stories so rolling off his eyes he said
Manik:Oh god wat should I do to u..fine let it be jst go and get ur phone quickly bt ya if anything happens jst let me knw okk I'll be there for u..okk so take care
Nandini smiled broadly seeing his immense care and concern so smilingly replied
Nandini:Ya I knw ur always there for me and thtsy I dnt need to care abt me coz thts ur job..bt anyways bye I gota go nw so see u at home..and ya I love u..
She cut the call in a jiffy while Manik on the other side ws smiling too aftr listening her last words and blushingly said to himself,"And I love u more..".Nandini then aftr placing the receiver down turned around and looked at Chachi who ws standing behind her near the stairs with many questons floating in her eyes so she quicly reached upto her and took her hand in her own and said nervously
Nandini:Chachi I knw u have lots of things to ask me and u have every right to knw it too bt Chachi pls I cant tell u anything nw as I really dnt think thts it's the right time bt ya I promise u Chachi aftr I come back in evening I'll tell u everything so can u pls wait til then..
Chachi caressed her head and said lovingly:Arey nandu its okk...mai sab samajti hu to tu meri fikr mat kar aur tu ja jaha rahi thi sambhalkar..mai tera sham ko wait karungi okk..
Nandini smilingly hugged her and wishing her bye left from there to face the man whom she never expected nor even wished to meet evr bt here she ws unaware of the fact that destiny ws jst waiting for this meet to happen from so long as it ws gona be the beginning of a new chapter of her life.
Well m done for nw and I knw the revealations I tlked abt did not happen in this one bt promise it wud be done in the next one for sure.So pls hav a lil patience and think wat it would be bt as for nw all I would be thinking is whether this time too the silent readers will speak up or not or else I again have to strt that pm bussiness..so guys pls dnt test my patience and give me some good response jst like last time..so bye love u all...
