NEW FRIENDSHIP

Sometimes we try very hard to find answers to our all questions...But the answers to all our questions only come when they are meant to .

(BEACH CAVE -12:00pm)

(Nandini was quietly sitting on a rock and watching the ocean.)

NANDINI'S POV

(Aaiappa why was I so impulsive on him, I agree that he was holding me so tightly that I could'nt get out of his grip, but his eyes, jis tarh se woh mujhe dekh raha tha I felt very strange, I don't know what is going on..)

(As Nandini was thinking of all that happened, she heard someone coming. As she turned her head she saw Manik there.)

N(surprised) - Tum ???

MANIK'S POV

(As soon as I heard a familiar voice I lifted my head, what I saw was enough to bring me into anger.)

M- Tum yahan ?

N- Wahi toh main tumse pooch rahi hoon ki tum yaha kya kar rahe ho?

M(smirked)- Oh I didn't know that Nandini Murthy has purchased the beach also!

N(sighed)- Whatever !!

(Manik came and sat a bit far from Nandini on other rock.)

MANIK'S POV

(What is this happening? Why is she crossing my way again and again? I can't believe she said me all that? Wait ...Even I was wrong, Maine Fab4 ka gussa uss par utaar dia. But since when I have seen her and even yesterday this strange feeling, I can't figure it out what is it?)

(Both were quite both were trying to find answers to their questions but were unable to. Not being able to hold herself Nandini broke the silence.)

N- Can we talk?

M- Is there anything left to talk?

N (closed her eyes and said) - Manik I am sorry.

(Manik turns his face to look at her, only to see her eyes close and she was biting her lower lip. Her innocent face made him smile a bit. But he immediately composed himself and asked)

M (confusingly) - What?

N- Ya actually tum galat the you should'nt have said all that but the way I choose to stop you or to explain myself was wrong mujhe itna rude aur arrogant nahi hona chahiye tha, I was too angry ... So that's why I am sorry.

M (with guilt)- Actually...Even I am sorry woh I had an argument with my friends and then I bumped into you and all my anger and frustration tum par nikal gayi. So even I am sorry.

(Both of them smiled. Manik stood up and came near Nandini and sat next to her on the nearby rock.)

N- So all okay now? I mean all okay between us? No gussa, Nothing!!

M- Ya all okay.

N-(extends her hand towards him) Friends???

M (smiles like an idiot and shakes hand with her)- Yes friends...

(Both of them stay quite not knowing what to say. Finally Manik breaks the silence and says)

M- So Nandini what are you doing here? I mean main yahan bahut saalon se aata hoon and maine yahan pe zaada logo ko aate hue nahi dekha so just asking.

N- Manik main bhi yahan bahut waqt se aati hoon actually whenever I feel drained out or confused or sad I come here. There is an unknown peace here, I feel relaxed.

(confusingly asks) Tum yahan kyun aate ho?

M- Nandini actually when I was small my Dadi(grandma) used to come on beach with me and woh kehti thi ki this ocean these winds here are god's gift and jab yeh wind hame touch karke jaati hain tab woh hamari confusion aur sadness bhi le jaati h. (smiles and says) So whenever I'm feeling sad or confused I come here.

(Nandini all this while was listening to him without blinking her eyes)

N- Manik it's such a beautiful thought. Your Dadi she was amazing indeed and even I feel the same about beaches.

M- I know ... She was a darling.

(Nandini notices that Manik is sad so to lighten-up the mood she says_

N(fake anger)- Manik vaise I am angry on you!

M(shocked)- Ab kyun? We were all okay now so what happened?

N- I agree to it, but in morning in parking why did you ignored me? Jahan tak mujhe yaad hai main na toh tumse rude thi infact I was very much normal with everyone.

(Manik recalls the morning incident and a smile crepts on his face.)

M- Nandini woh actually ...umm...woh I had to go to meet my mom...ya...She messaged me to come so I had to go.

N- (she was convinced with it) Hmm It's Ok ...But you don't ignore me now as we are friends and you can share whatever you want with me.

(Manik unintentionally takes her into a bone-crashing hug. Initially Nandini is shocked with this sudden hug but slowly she too starts responding to it. Both of them were feeling contended in each other's embrace, they forgot all their pains all their awkwardness, they both were experiencing solace that they had always craved for. They stay like that for quiet long time and then slowly Manik realizes what he had done so he breaks the hug. Even Nandini comes back into her senses and realizes their hug and the way she responded to it. Both were looking here and there. Soon Manik tries to remove awkwardness and says.)

M (mischievously) - Kya hua... Friends can hug each other anytime. So its okay I guess.

N (tries to hide her inner turmoil says happily)- Ya offcourse ... Friends can hug each other.

M - I guess hum bahut time se yahan par hain and hame chalna chahiye otherwise Cabir sabko lekar yahin par land ho jayega.

N- Ya same is with Navya. Chalo.

(Manik quickly stands up and gives his hand to Nandini to help her stand up, Nandini happily takes it and stands up. Both came out of the beach. Nandini was about to go when Manik stops her.)

M- Nandini stop.

N- Haan Manik kya hua?

M- Nandini come I'll drop you.

N- Manik thanks a lot but mere paas car hain and moreover main ghar nahi jaa rahi hoon I'm going to office kuch kaam tha.

M(teasingly)- Oh toh great Nandini Murthy has to work, ya why she would give time to me? Who am I?

N - Manik don't tease me na... I already said sorry for that. And I don't think I need to tell you what you mean to me!

M (babyish face and says)- Accha but I don't know what I mean to you?

(With this he came very close to her and says) Tell me na Nandini.

N (starts breathing heavily with sudden closeness and says)- We are... I mean u are ...

M (says in her ears)- I am ????

N (takes a deep breath and says)- U are my Friend...

(Moves back and happily says holding her hands.)

M- Yes I am your friend and will always be.

N (smiles wholeheartedly)- Thanks Manik

M- for what?

N- Woh main hamesha yaha akele aati thi to experience peace and calmness ...But for the first time tumne mujhe happiness experience karvai hai isliye...thanks.

M- Nandini we are friends and you don't need to say thanks and jo tum happiness ke baare mein keh rahi ho to aage se hum jab bhi yahan aayenge we will come together as kyunki tumhari tarah even I felt happiness for first time.

N- really manik?

M- yes... Chalo now we should leave and haan meet you tomorrow in space...Bye..

N- Bye Manik... Take care.

(Manik smiles wholeheartedly listening listening "TAKE CARE". And they both leave towards their respective directions.)

(Nandini went to her office for work and returned home by 7:00pm, whereas Manik went to college for jamming with his friends and he was super-duper happy, no one wanted to spoil his mood so they did'nt asked the reason. It was 5:00pm when everyone decided to wrap up and everyone went to their home and took rest.)

(MALHOTRA MANSION - 8:00pm)

(Manik went to his changed into his tracks and vest and went to his balcony sat on the bean bag and closed his eyes and replayed the events of entire day, meeting Nandini, the strange feeling, her smile, her twinkling eyes, their silly fight, their conversation at beach, their new friendship, their hug... With all this going in his mind he was smiling.)

M (to himself) - What is all this? Main nandini ke baare mein kyun soch rha hoon? This girl is definitely something...(with this he smiles)

(Manik's thought process was broken by a cough, he turned and saw Cabir over there.)

M- Cabir tu yahan? I knew jab tak tu sab kuch jaan nahi leta tab tak u won't leave me.

( With this Cabir smiled and came beside Manik and sat infront of him on other beanbag.)

C- Manik agar tu sab kuch janta hi hai to what are you waiting for? Aaj jab college se gaya tha tab Angry Bird tha aur wapas aaya to happy dent waali smile de raha tha.

M- Cabir...Kahan se laata h yaar tu yeh ridiculous examples...seriously.

(With this Manik told all that happened at beach cave {except the hug}.)

C(surprised)- wow...unbelievable...Manik Malhotra befriends a person other than FAB5. That's the first time I am ever listening. Waise on a serious note Manik what have you thought about giving it a chance? I mean... u know what I mean.

M- Cabir we are just friends and the thing you are talking about I don't know will I ever be able to believe in love thing ever again but all I know is that Nandini and I are for now just friends I don't know about future.

C- Well yeh toh accha hua ki atleast tu try kar raha hai to move on.

M- Ya ...Whatever...

(Mannat Mansion - SAME TIME)

(Navya came to Mannat Mansion for her night stay as Navya used to live with Nandini atleast thrice a week. Nandini told Navya all that happened {except the hug} and even Navya was too happy.)

NAV- Nandu mujhe ab bhi yakeen nahi ho raha ki u made a friend. I mean dost banaya to banaya but kise banaya?... The Manik Malhotra ko!

N- Navya woh itna bura bhi nahi hai. You know jab hum aaj baat kar rahe the I saw a very different side of him, jo tumne uske baare mein bataya tha woh vaisa nahi tha. He was very much similar to me... I mean to us.

NAV (teasing)- Wah ...Kya baat h nandu tune to manik par ek din mein Phd. Kar li.

N- Navya tum na ... (sighed) Tumhara kuch nahi ho sakta.

(With this the our Manan's first day ended...Most you would be thinking that ek din mein how can all this happen but u know I think that once two person's have gone through same thing they are better able to understand each other...And moreove har kisi ke liye bhagwaan ne kisi na isi ko banaya hai jab hum usse milte h humare dil ko shayad khud hi pata chal jaata h, dimag usse accept karne mein thoda time lagata h but hota atlast wohi h jo dear god ne likha h.)
