Awww how I wish dearie, but chickee has moved on from KY2 she stopped watching it long back...I force feed her tid bits here and there sometimes...she always watched KY2 for the story line..when the story took down hill..she left...😭

really sth from the movie would hv been great...I stopped watching KY2 season 2 but started watching it again from the day parth returned...😳😳😳 and once I started watching it...i had to come back to forum...

A singer of the calibre of Manik cannot reduce to sounding worse than a bathroom singer, even if he hasn't practiced for 4 months. A good singer/composer does not require a guitar to compose a song. He needs to have a good understanding of rhythm and tune. He didn't seem to have both. Great singers can sing extempore without sounding out of tune and offbeat.

Agree...but they have not shown Manik as a Kishore Kumar, yaar!😆 Manik is a craze among youth...not just for his singing skills but also coz he is the leader of Fab 5, stylish and also confident with the singing.

When we sing on a private level for friends or family specially when we sing randomly...we may not completely be perfect. If U remember..Parth sang the song "Laal laal gaal..jaise tamaatar" ...and he sounded in good tune. But I think..making Manik sing this way..is intentional..they are upto something. They don't want the audience to get a catch of the tune perhaps.

I mean...first when we make a random lyrics we may use a tune we like to sing it. Take a lyrics of which music is unknown and try singing..and we'll be singing as we wish in a pattern different from the regular, we may sing the words together or randomly. Maybe director asked Parth to sing it in whichever style he wanted to. So he randomly sang a lyrics in a weird pattern.

Surely 4 months lack of practice may not affect a few singers..but some singers may be affected too. We can't say that being without practice won't affect. Waise bhi in Season 1..Manik was very much into practice😆😛 Great singers...I mean seasoned singers may not go out of tune..but Manik is not like a professional playback singer or a singer of many years experience. He is a music student and lead singer of rock band that they formed and that doesn't mean he will not sing like a bathroom singer coz he doesn't have a tune prepared to sing the lyrics. I feel..in coming episodes...maybe this song will be given a different music and will be sing by either Parth (like he sang the OST in Season 1 or by another professional singer) !😳

Highly doubt this will happen.

I have a feeling it will happen...because soon there will be a singing competition between Manik and Madhyam!😳

Can understand this if he is an amateur singer(which Parth really is) not if one is a professional singer (which Manik is). They are supposed to be selling a fictional show not a reality show.

Actually Manik is not a professional singer. He is leader of a rock band formed by Manik and rest of them. U know there are singers who sing in a solid pattern..singers like Kishore da... Rafi Saheb..they are of a different level. But Manik cannot be compared to them or to even singers like Sonu Nigam. Surely Manik is a singer..but can't say he is professional as he is still seen to be making songs for their group and singing for college competitions and such for eg: musicana.

Couldn't judge the lyrics to comment of them because the song was so distractingly offbeat and out of tune. I definitely can sing an extempore song better than that and I am not a professional singer although I learnt music.

The lyrics goes like this:~

jab se hai tujhse mila tha..main tujhse hi judaa tha,

aankhein teri sirf dekhe mujhe..

dhadkanein teri sirf hai meri,

tu hi hai meri zindagi..

Zindagi ke iss mode pe..akela kabhi na hua main..

dil ki har dastak pe tujhse hi judaa.

Try putting your own music to these lyrics and singing...it won't come out in complete good sur! I tried it and I also sang in a besur..because the music is not properly arranged to these lyrics. Since the lyrics are sort of not in order...any music U put to it..it sounds weird!😆😛

I'm sure you are not as bad even at your worst. I have learnt vocal singing and also an instrument (the violin). I can vouch for the fact that without practice, instrument playing gets worse than singing. Yes, the voice may sound scratchy and hoarse without practice, but one can't get so offbeat and out of tune.

Hmm..yaar..really seriously..now I am not completely in sur and that too coz of lack of practice. Earlier also it had happened and then I practiced a bit and then I was back to singing better. If I don't practice..it does affect my singing!😆 No actually musical instruments..I don't think people easily forget..its like eating..the fingers move once they fall upon the keys! I know a friend of mine..who had lost touch with piano..but then when asked to play she played really well! That's why I felt that people don't lose touch with musical instruments easily!😳

Hope they get a professional singer to sing the songs or play bollywood songs. Parth should concentrate on his acting career for now and take formal music lessons before he ventures in that direction.

Actually Parth sang pretty ok the song from Season 1..I think its coz he too doesn't get time for practice recently. He was in real life too part of a rock band and he has been a lead singer..if I'm not mistaken!😳

I doubt he could have led a band in real life, if his singing is anything to go by. I also read that in some interview he had claimed to be a salsa dancer, although his dancing does not bear testimony to that. He is great in lipsyncing and has of late improved his dance steps. Still a long way to go in those depts.

About this topic, taking a cue from your response I did some research in the net. Maybe there is a reason for Manik's poor singing which is more than just being out of practice.

I have read this interview before.What I meant was that I don't trust it, going by his singing. He is an average singer, not good enough to be leading a band, unless the band itself was quite mediocre. He tends to exaggerate things. I wouldn't give too much weight to it. Yes, he has developed into a fine actor. He is a focused guy. So if he sets his mind on developing his singing and dancing, he will get there just as how he managed to build his body in the last couple of months.

Hmm..but yaar..how can he lie about such a band? I mean..won't his collegemates object to such a thing if it is wrong in real?? U can't lie about a band in open, na?😳 If Parth was not part of a band ever...wouldn't his collegemates spread rumor that he is lying. Perhaps the thing about Fab 5 is true. Maybe due to lack of practice, he is not singing as perfectly. Regarding the way he sang in the prior episode..maybe its coz director wanted him to sing randomly! But yes, he is a very fine actor! 😃
