The return of Manik - missing point?

So Manik is finally back after a gap of 4 months. And he was upset after seeing Fab 3 and Nandini move on in life with Maddy and Aryaman. He explains that all he could do in the hospital was think about them.

Question: Why didn't he try and contact any of his friends or Nandini (if something wasn't genuinely holding him back)? Did I miss out an explanation to that or did the creatives miss out on that? Or are they still planning to explain that point?

What do you guys think? Shouldn't he had tried to get in touch with them? He knew that they'd be so broken. What was he waiting for?

Guess I didn't get you that well. Manik is back already as we can see. I understand that all of us are happy that Manik aka Parth is back that we just don't really care about the reasons for his disappearance. Talking from the story's point of view, the plot does get a bit weak with the "didn't try to contact" point.

Wouldn't we try and contact our loved ones in a similar situation and let them know that we're still alive and well, unless we are held back in such a situation? For instance, getting banged up in a place or situation (war, riots, natural calamities, kidnap, coma, paralysis etc.) where contacting someone is not possible...

His dad saved him... I wonder why he didn't bring it out? Even when everyone at SPACE continued to think that Manik was dead?

Hopefully, the complete story behind his disappearance should unfold soon. The way the story is progressing now is quite light and lots of fun. But it seems to moving on just for the sake of it. It also seems to be moving with the goal of giving a closure to Aryaman and Maddy.

I'd prefer Manik to have been in a Kekta-style coma to him being in his senses and NOT contacting Nandini/Feb3. I'm assuming his dad would have atleast handed him a phone had he asked for it?

Exactly. It makes more sense. Or at least it should be some other valid reason where he could not contact any of them. Popping up one fine day and bashing them up is not justifiable.

Fully agree with you. Manik should have explained why he could not contact them when all he could do was keep thinking of them. Feeling guilty about Cabir's death (if at all that is an explanation) is not good enough. Maybe he and his dad realised that Nyo was behind the mishap and was waiting to gather enough evidence against her. So they staged that he is dead much like how Nyo and Arya's dad staged that Soha is dead to the world.
