Parth Aka Manik Is Back!!! A KY2 Review ' Meri Dosti.Mera Pyaa

Hello all you amazingly wonderful fans/readers of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan 2. I am pretty sure everybody is on cloud 9 as your one of your most loved and favorite character's and actor has finally returned to the nation's most popular youth show of which he was an integral part.

Very rarely do things like this happen on Television. If an actor leaves or is let go the viewers and fans find themselves frozen in time. If you have been following a particular show since day 1, if you are an ardent fan of the show and every element that makes it what it is the absence of an actor...of a character is not something you can just ignore and move on. Channels and PH's have no qualms in doing so because for them this is simply business. But for fans that get invested in a show, in the lives of their favorite characters at an emotional level even if they are completely aware that it's just a show such changes can be devastating. KY2 fasn too went through a similar phase but the passionate-hardcore fans that they are, decided to not sit back and let things change. They were not ready to tarnish the memories, the beautiful journey associated with the show and the result is for all to see-Parth Samthaan is back and with a bang!!!

So first of congratulations to each and every KY2 fan out there on this spectacular achievement and I really hope that Season 2 of your favorite show sets new standards and records and presents with a more interesting and entertaining journey.

Coming back to the thick of things Manik is back ... Well technically he has been shown quite a few times as a part of Nandini's imagination, in flash-backs but now he is back for real and the scene was so beautiful, so emotional that it touches a chord with the audience.

The episode had lots of things to offer. The crowd went mad seeing Fab 5, there was drama where Nandini was threatened that the upcoming performance would be Fab5's last, Maddy joined the team on stage unexpectedly, the performance was a huge hit, Nandini really felt that she saw Manik and much more but what caught my attention was Manik's entry. The way the entire episode revolved and evolved around him had to be the highlight of the episode.

Parth Samthaan as Manik has returned to the show for real, not just in FB's and memories and it was definitely an iconic moment; but what made the episode truly worth watching was how the makers actually underplayed that angle but added a dash of brilliance here and there to create the desired effect which in this case I believe would be making this one of the most amazing come backs on television ever and one that would be remembered for a very long time in the history of Indian Drama Series.

For instance when Navya announced that Fab 5 was about to perform, they focused on Manik's eyes and how it lighted up when he heard that his friends, his team was up there about to perform. Another beautifully executed scene was when Manik realized that the traffic wouldn't allow him to reach the venue on time they showed him get out of the cab and run towards his destination - his friends or rather his family. Dekhne mein kuch khaas nahi tha but what was interesting is it was creatively symbolic. Nahi samjhe??? Well they timed the entry sequence with the song in such a way that; all the howling and cheering looked as though was for Parth, for his come-back as Manik. He was the prime focus and it was a rather creative and symbolic way of announcing that the STAR of the show has arrived.

The performance goes great and Manik arrives just when the team wrapped up. Manik arrives with a lot of hopes, his heart bursting with happiness that after 4 months he will be finally meeting with his friends, with his love but it all shatters when he sees the Fab5 and Nandini clicking pictures and all happy and mast in their world. When Nandini looks at him he gives her the happiest laugh ever but she does not reciprocate it and all the anticipation, the need to reunite everything dissolves in a second. But ye zaroori nahi hai jo dikhta hai wohi sach ho. Like they say everything that glitters is not gold. What Manik saw was real but what he perceived was not. But for somebody like Manik, who is strong on the outside but emotional and more child-like in the inside what he saw was something he couldn't handle and rational thinking goes flying out the window and he begins to believe that his friends, his Nandini had moved on in life which is far from the truth. His friends miss him dearly, his Nandini has not been able to move forward ever since the accident... She plasters a smile and does everything but only because she believes he would want that of her. However Manik fails to see that and nope you cannot blame him because that's how his mind works.

The lyrics of the song used here showcases Manik's state of mind. It was fate who brought Mukti, Cabir, Alia, Dhruv and Manik together. They went on to become bestest of friends. Similarly it is fate that brought Manik and Nandini together but seeing everybody happy in life Manik assumes that he is forgotten and he walks away without coming forward. Which is why his state of mind can also be interpreted another way- FEAR. Manik has been away from everybody that matters to him his gang, his girl for the past 4 months' the fear of being forgotten, of meaning lesser or nothing at all anymore unlike when he was there amidst them before the accident can be a little too terrifying . Manik who has faced rejection especially family found his true happiness, his real FAMILY in Fab5; he found peace, content, love in Nandini and he experienced the feeling of being important amongst these people. What if it changed? Who can blame him for thinking that his friends and love has moved on in life? So more than the whole I feel they have forgotten me and moved on in life' it's What if they have forgotten me and moved on in life' that troubles Manik. Which is why it would be really exciting to see what happened when Manik gets to know the truth.

If Manik feels he can be forgotten, replaced in the lives of his friends, of Nandini then he is in for a huge shock. When he realizes that the void that was created in the lives of his friend and Nandini due to his absence could never be filled the happiness, the feeling of being cherished or being important will be something to look out for and after everything Manik has been through; he deserves to know the same too.

Also with Maddy throwing a lot of attitude and going about making others feel that he did them a great help by lending his vocals, I think it's the best time for Manik to return. And what is Fab5 without its soul? So gear up for a roller-coaster ride people, the ride is going to get bumpy but all the more fun and entertaining.
