Chapter 16

Hug😆

"Navyaaa plsss...help kar!!" Nandini pleaded in a whisper holding her hand tight. "Plsss" Nandini looked at Navya with pleading eyes. Navya continued to shake her head with a terrorized expression on her face.

Kabir walked closer to Manik and whispered. "Tujhe nahi lagta ye dono weird hai?? Uss kone main jaake kya discuss kar rahe hai dono??"

Manik looked at Kabir with a meaningful expression in his eyes... "They are weird...now I want to find out why they are weird.." Manik whispered back.

Kabir noticed the strange shine in Manik's eyes as he walked ahead of Kabir with quick steps to Nandini and Navya who had walked to the corner of the music store for the little chitchat.

"Hiii!" Manik said in a fake happy accent. "U know...I'm happy to meet fans of Fab 5. So can I know your names?? U are????" asked Manik taking a step closer to Navya and pointing towards her. Navya felt her throat and vocal chords dry up as she met the intense deep stare of Manik. His eyes are too scary..Navya thought as she gulped and took a step backwards.

Kabir immediately walked and stood next to Manik and gave a wide smile and said in a happy voice "Oh yaar...tum logon ne tho apne naam bhi nahi bataaye...introduce yourself na? Ok chalo pehle main hi introduction deta hoon! Officially techically karne chahiye sab kuch na?" Kabir said with a little laugh.

Manik's eyes moved from Navya to Nandini...Nandini couldn't meet Manik's intense stare as his eye brows clouded up and his eyes looked at her in a scrutinizing way. Manik was looking at Nandini from head to toe. Black chappals...a flowery cloth bag clung to her left arm and her palms have fisted up...she looks nervous. "Is it because she is nervous? Or..is it because she is Nandini?? If she is Nandini why is she not introducing herself???" Manik thought as he put on his blazer.

"Fairy white shirt and black blazer...Manik is looking too sparkling in the dress. His light stubble...a light mole next to his upper lip...his shiny soft hair which fell a bit over his forehead and his casual attitude...he is too charming" Nandini thought as she shifted nervously. 😳

Kabir started off by giving introductions "Ye hai Manik...aur main hoon Kabir aur aap??" Kabir asked getting closer to Navya.

"Ji main Nav..." Navya said looking into Kabir's eyes.

"Sh..she..she is Nandu! She is my friend and I'm Navya!" Nandini jumped in between Kabir and Navya.

"Hiii Nanduuu" Kabir said as he once again extended his hand towards Navya.

"Huh?" Navya whispered as her voice got cut and she froze there and felt as if she will become statue of liberty who just now lost the liberty of her tongue!😆

"Nandu?" Manik asked looking from Nandini to Navya.

"Hiii" Manik said walking towards Navya..."Your name is Nandu??" Manik asked with a wide smile. "Sweet name...I'm Manik...Manik Malhotra" Manik said as he went and gave the shocked Navya a hug. 😉

Nandini froze seeing the way Manik bend to give Navya a warm hug. Navya's whole body froze when she felt the arms of Manik Malhotra go around her.

"Thank god..Ayyappa...I'm saved...otherwise I would've got hugged" Nandini thought...but..but why am I feeling so lost and sad...wasn't that hug for me? 😕

Manik turned his head sideways hugging Navya as he noticed Nandini glance his way with eyes...that had disappointment..pain and a strange longing in them. "She...she is my Nandu...but how to make her confess?" Manik thought as he continued to stare at Nandini resting his chin on Navya's shoulder as he looked at the lost Nandini.😳
