Lemme begin with the lost cause
Aryaman- Such a disappointment, this is one character that has been twisted and turned by the whims of the writers to such an extent that he seems so irrelevant right now.
Instead of focusing on what could have been a continuation from the last season on the potential of Aryaman and Alya, the writers have shredded him to bits.
1. He flirts with Alya, then turns out of to be a sorta-kinda bad boy being Harshad's fren. BTW that part had me wondering so many things, but y use logic?
2. As if that wasn't enough, he turned out to be some random gal's bro too with a serious grudge against Manik.
3. And now he is all over Nandini (cuz that's just mandatory at this point on the show) *sarcasm intended*.
That dude has been stretched and twisted 😉 by the writers way too much that my reaction towards him when he was trying to defend Nandini was the same STFU look that Alya gave him yesterday.
He just doesn't seem to fit in anymore. And nope he certainly ain't Cabir.
And sorry but it would have made sense if Cabir was there and had a love life (with a guy, definitely not Aryaman) and not just be a mouthpiece/cupid cuz that aspect is something very relevant in these days. It would have been great to watch that in season 2.
Moving on to the others...
Mukti- She is one gal who keeps it together and looses it just as quickly, but I like her "don't give an Ef " attitude, she says what's on her mind. But yes behind that hard cover she is a broken gal. BTW the new guy could have more face-offs with this gal if not anything else, for all I know she may have a lot of fun with it, getting all that angst out.
Navya- Well, she is one gal who has something good going. Has a job to support her little son. It's not easy being a teen and to have so much responsibility on oneself. She has paid a very heavy price for her blunders, but it's a good thing if she has learnt from it and grown stronger. She has been thrown into a situation way ahead of her age. BTW why aren't her parents there for her? Have they abandoned her for real?
Dhruv- I still am not over the words he said to Alya, somehow if I were Alya I wouldn't want to get back with such a guy, but I have convinced myself that you probably hurt the ones you love the most, so maybe, just maybe I'll give it a go.
I don't understand how three months can make an insecure troubled guy into a confident upfront guy. They should have spent more time dissecting his health issues instead of rushing through it last season.
Alya- It was interesting to watch her last season, she was hurt way too many times and was expected to simply smile and move on without letting anything out or speak of the injustices she had to face. Her bulimia was something many gals her age experience cuz that is one way to let it go and not keep it together. Her breakdown was poignant.
She has just started a career in fashion and no surprises there though. She really did and does love Dhruv even though he pushed her over the edge. I am not entirely sure about Dhrulya though...
Apart from the fact that I find it appalling to watch each and every guy on the show fall for Nandini. It's a good thing that it's not the same with Manik so far...oh wait there was that gal For all I know Nandini is Manik-zoned for life and Manik is also Nandini-zoned for life, and of course everyone is happy with that and nope still not interested in them.
PS- courtesy social media, I pretty much know the story even if I don't watch their scenes, cuz I just don't have to.
