CHAPTER 17

Mission Aryaman Runaway Accomplished.

Introducing

SPACE- India's most prestigious college for people pursuing music, acting, direction and other courses related to entertainment industry.

Soha - 27 years old, famous model and a professional... a big time flirt and never leaves a chance to hit on Manik Malhotra as she is a big fan of not only his music, but also his looks and the perks being with such a guy were too much...She tried to be a part of all the assignments Manik or FAB 5 were a part of...

Abhimanyu Thakkar - FAB 5's college friend from SPACE and has now joined his father's Production House BIG DREAMS' which has a big name in the industry. Also, he was the key reason for the collaboration between FAB 5 and his production house for most of their ventures... Even if there were dates issues Abhimanyu and his dad always made sure they had atleast one song by them in their project. If not then they would ask them to do something else...but they had to be a part of it...

FAB 5 knew this and it was a deal between them that if they were just doing something like a cameo or a single song for them they never charged for it... They had very healthy ties with Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu had a crush since college on Mukti, but couldn't get the courage to confess it. Though FAB 5 knew about it except Mukti.

Flashback (Before Leaving for CLUB)-

After Nandini's call Manik was extremely elated and told everyone to hurry up and get dressed as he didn't want to be late...FAB 5 were then left a bit perplexed but were happy to see the IMPROVED MANIK'... While giving himself last look in the mirror he got a call from his dear friend Abhimanyu.

Manik- hey Abhi how are you? Long time... how was your shoot with Akshay?

Abhi- Manik I am good... shoot was great...just came 2 days back from Iceland. Manik I had called up Natasha to know where you are sup got to know you were in Delhi...Actually I have called you up for a favour yaar.

Manik- Abhi since when did you have to ask me for favours... you just tell me what I can do.

Abhi- Thanks Manik the track you had re-created for us of the old song, we were planning to put that in the movie and use it during promotions... we had signed up Soha and Viaan for it...Now, Viaan has got ill and can't shoot...the entire crew is here in Delhi and we need to start the shoot tomorrow itself...Please, help me out.

Manik thought and knew he won't force him till it wasn't actually a big deal...

Manik - ok Abhi but just for you...

Abhi- Thanks Manik...Well, I'll send you all the details and ya your finances and everything my team will discuss it with Natasha and your team...

Manik- Listen Abhi we are friends ok...remember our deal...just email me all the details and I'll be there for the shoot... See you tomorrow.

Manik informed FAB 5 about Abhimanyu's call and his problem... The production house had made reservations for Soha in the same hotel as FAB 5 and that's how Manik and Soha met. Soha as always invited herself to the club with FAB5 and out of courtesy they couldn't say her NO'...All she did was try getting close to Manik which he completely disliked... But, today he was ok with Soha near him just to make Nandini jealous... (Which worked later).

FAB 5 and Aryaman-

FAB 5 in college were a name every single soul was scared off and nobody messed with them...Over the time they just calmed down and were completely engrossed in their work...But, after a long time they got an opportunity to re-live their the old days...and the master planner Cabir was all set to take on their Target' and accomplish Mission Aryaman Runaway'...

Aryaman had tried to stop Nandini to go to the bar counter but she denied and went herself. He was waiting for her on the dance floor but was later surrounded by FAB 5... Aryaman had recognized them but couldn't understand anything... Cabir signalled him to step out.

Aryaman- (confused) hold on... what's going on???

Cabir- actually we came to know tumhe shadi karne ka bahut shauk hai...so we thought of getting you married... what say guys... (Looked at others)

Aryaman- what???? why the hell have you got me here... (Getting pissed off)

Dhruv- yeh toh tujhe sochna chahiye tha yaha aane se pehle... you think you are too smart... dude you have messed up with wrong people...

Aryaman- what the hell are you guys talking about??? What did I do?

Cabir- guys isska Nandini se shadi ka shauk poora karva dete hai, poor boy... See he is gonna cry now...

Aryaman- (got more shocked) how do you know about Nandini??

Cabir- forget that...but dude first watch what we have to show you...

Aryaman- what??? (Bit confused)

Aryaman was completely shocked and numb as to what was happening with him and why FAB 5 was after his life. He then watched the video where he had tripped over a boy in the club and had accidentally kissed him... (FAB 5 planned all). The video looked like Aryaman and the boy were together and as a couple who were lost in each other after the kiss.

Cabir- so you are gay...and you thought of spoiling a girl's life... (Fake anger)

Aryaman - (sweating out of fear and shock) yeh...yeh... what nonsense is it...look this is not correct... I can explain... I am not gay, it was an accident...

Mukti- really... dude you tried to cheat our friend...Navya you are Nandini's best friend right... have a look at the video.

Navya stepped ahead acting all innocent though she knew everything and watched the video...She gave a shocked expression and looked at Aryaman who was nodding his head in a NO'...

Navya- how dare you hide your reality...I am going to tell about you to Nandu's parents tomorrow itself...you jerk.

Cabir- and I am going to upload it on my YouTube channel too... it's been ages I have uploaded anything...

Aryaman- (stammered) Navya this is all wrong...someone has tried to trap me yaar, I swear...guys believe me... I really like Nandini... Cabir please, please don't put it on YouTube... (Pleading him)... I won't be able to face anyone...please guys trust me I am not gay.

Everyone saw his condition and knew they had succeeded.

Aliya- fine then say NO' to this marriage proposal and we won't upload it on YouTube.

Aryaman- guys I'll do anything...but please don't upload it...

Cabir- fine... but if you don't then Navya let me know I'll upload it without waiting for a second.

Navya nodded and FAB 5 promised that they would delete the video as soon as he says NO to the proposal. They also made him speak up the reason for his NO' that he has a girlfriend in U.S.A. and he isn't ready to marry anyone else... Aryaman hated all this but had to agree. He had sensed now that it was their entire trap, but couldn't do much and left from there...

Everyone hi-fived each other and were laughing their heart out...

PRESENT-

Cabir messaged Manik "Mission Aryaman Runaway Accomplished. "

Manik "What a news Cabir, thanks Bro, I really can't tell you how relieved I am feeling right now... I owe you guys a big time...but I am in another problem right now..."

Cabir immediately called up Manik...

MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-

Nandini was sleeping peacefully placing her head on my chest and even I was about to sleep when I got Cabir's message saying that Aryaman has backed off... Finally, things were falling in place except one, I was in Nandini's home and her parents... dammm... Cabir then called me...I took the call and spoke softly making sure Nandini wasn't disturbed.

"Hey Cabir, thanks man...I owe you guys big time..."

Cabir- Bro forget about that...abhi kya problem ho gayi?? Is Nandini fine? And tu aab tak vaha kya kar raha hai...

"Ya she is fine and sleeping. Before I could leave Nandini's parents came and now I am here... Dude I'll need help tomorrow morning to sneak out of her house...Is Navya with you? "

Cabir- what the... (Paused) Manik mana tu Nandini se durr nai reh sakta iska matlab yeh nai hai ki...vaise irada kya hai tera hhmmm... (Chuckled)

"Cabir..."

Cabir- acha acha ok... Navya ko mein inform karta hun to help you out in morning ok... enjoy your quality sleeppp with Nandini...

"Cabit tu nahi sudhrega na...just wait for tomorrow...bye."

[FAB 5 dropped Navya to her place and she assured them that she would sneak out Manik in morning].

While I was talking Nandini snuggled a bit and buried her face more into my chest. She was just like a baby and I loved her for that... I pecked her forehead and then slept peacefully.

WRITER'S POINT OF VIEW-

MORNING (6:45 a.m.), Nandini's phone alarm starts buzzing...

The alarm rings for the first time and no one gets up...it keeps ringing for 2-3 times when finally Nandini stirred in her sleep and forwarded her hand to find her phone... Manik too was a bit disturbed in his sleep but didn't move. Nandini found her phone and snoozed off the alarm and again placed her head on Manik's chest and dozed off... After a few minutes her eyebrows were together...

NANDINI'S POINT OF VIEW-

I stirred a bit in my sleep and opened my eyes slowly and then looked up to find Manik's face next to me...I was still in my sleep and smiled seeing him close... I placed by head again on something hard and then suddenly my eyes became wide open as I realised it was Manik's chest I had placed my head on and then next I found his hand on my waist.

I was completely perplexed to see him sleeping next to me... but then I felt a bit dizzy and held my head as it aching badly... "aaahhh mera sarr bhari kyun ho raha hai...God early morning headache..." I sat like that for few minutes and breathed slowly... Manik moved his hand again in his sleep and placed it on mine...

I shrieked a bit and then looked at him and a smile crept on my lips, he looked so innocent and I kept staring at him for how long I didn't know. He was really handsome must say and I couldn't hold myself... I bend down and kissed his forehead, then his eyes and slightly touched his right cheek and was about to kiss his cheek when he shifted and held me again by my waist and pulled me towards him. He was so close to me and I was shivering, all I could do is call his name "Manik...please..."

Manik- (still sleepy) what Nandini... (Pulled me more close)

I tried to free myself from his grip and got into putting efforts to wake him up "Manik chodo mujhe please... get up..."... He then snapped at me which left me speechless...

Manik- (making his hold tight as I tried to free myself) Nandini kya hai... Koi aise uthata hai apne hone wale PATI ko...

"What...PATI..." I was completely shocked by his statement and was completely taken aback by his sudden words..."kya bol rahe ho Manik... get up..." I finally removed his hand from my waist and was about to get up when he pulled me back and I fell on the bed. He got over me and we both were lost in each other's eyes.

MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-

I pulled her and I looked into her eyes to see the same spark for me she had yesterday and for the first time I could see myself in them... my heart smiled. I slowly moved my hands to entwine with her fingers. I wanted to kiss her and went close to her... I saw her lips were shivering with my proximity and she called my name...

Nandini- (softly) Manik...

I realised she wasn't comfortable and stopped, but thought of teasing her a bit... I smirked and she looked at me with puzzled eyes... "Aise kya dekh rahi ho... kal raat tumhi gaa rahi thi BAAHON MEIN CHALE AAO...so here I am." Her eyes grew wide with shock...

"Mein vahi kar raha hun jo tum chahti thi..." And winked at her... Her lips made an O-shaped' expression and then she pushed me away...

Nandini- what...what are you talking about...? (Stammered)

Her face became pale and but then she held her head... I knew it was her slight hangover. I chuckled and placed my head on the pillow and decided to tease her more "so tumhari utari nai abhi tak hhmmm"

Nandini- what... (In irritation)...are you crazy... jante nai I don't drink...

I snickered again "really (sarcastically) toh kal raat shayad I was drunk... apne BAPPA ko thanks bolo ki mein vaha tha and I got you home... (I sat on the bed and then looked at her) nai toh tum janti hi ho how safe your Delhi is..."

[Nandini stressed her mind and tried to remember what had happened last night at the club and after that... She remembered how she had got drunk by mistake... also she remembered Soha with Manik... Manik had got her home...and she switched on the music player... and how she came close to Manik and later on they slept].

I snapped my fingers in front of her "Kya hua Miss Raichand, kuch yaad aaya..." I could clearly read her face that she recalled everything and was trying her best not to look at me... She then got up...

Nandini- ha yaad aaya... (Innocently; she kept her head down) mein voh... I'll go and freshen up...

Before I could say something she ran inside the washroom... I ruffled my hair and saw the time on my phone... "Dammm it's 7:20...God I really need to leave..." Nandini came out and was patting her face with a face napkin... She looked just like a new budding flower... Simply beautiful...I was brazenly staring at her...

Nandini- kya hua...

"Kuch nahi..." I got up from her bed and then she handed me a new toothbrush and I left to get freshen up. After getting fresh I got my phone and called up Navya... "Hey hi good morning Navya... please come soon and get me out of here yaar... Cool I'll be waiting for you..." Navya said she on her way and would reach in 10 minutes... Nandini was staring at my face as if she had seen a ghost...

Nandini- ek minute how do you know Navya??? I never introduced her to you... (Frown came on her forehead).

I stepped close to her "Well you know na I am MANIK MALHOTRA... Girls can't resist my charm...(winked at her)" and then I turned away from her to look into the mirror... I knew she was getting pissed off... She came and made me turn to look at her and I could see the frowns on her face increasing... I just loved it...

Nandini- I am asking you how do you know her...

I kept a straight look and spoke to her"I met her at the club last night... got your answer (I turned to look at the mirror and began to set my hair)...aur ha agar tum mujhe apne pas nahi aane deti, that doesn't mean other girls would do the same..."

She was looking at me without blinking her eyes... "What?? Look kya de rahi ho... (she kept staring at me and then I turned to look at her) ek minute tum apni best frind se jealous feel kar rahi ho...seriously..." She finally blinked her eyelashes and I smirked...

Nandini- (trying to compose herself) what...aisa kuch nai hai... why...why will I get jealous... (finally back in form) Manik Malhotra don't give yourself so much importance...

"(I raised my one eyebrow) Acha...well kal raat toh you were threatening me that I shouldn't get close to Soha... uska kya...(she looked away to hide her embarrassment)... And what were you saying me ohhh I remember... . (I made her hold my shirt and I spoke in a seductive way) Manik even I can look hot..." (She looked at me again with wide eyes and removed her hands)...

I looked at her being speechless... Just then there was a knock on her door and we both looked at each other being a bit scared and then we heard Navya calling out Nandini...She then opened her door and got Navya in...

Navya- Good morning... how are you feeling now Nandu??

Nandini - better...

Navya- well you should thank Manik for last night... Thanks Manik for helping us . We really owe you (smiled at me).

"Hey it's ok Navya... (I began to wear my shoes and tucked my shirt in...) vaise do one thing, apni iss friend ko please gym join kara do"

Navya- voh kyun (confused)

"Yaar dikhti bilkul slim hai, but God...ufff. She is too heavy to carry man...gosh my back (I faked back pain). Start working out and go on a diet Nandini..." Navya chuckled and then I smirked at Nandini, she was fuming...

Nandini- mein heavy nahi hun ok... (Innocently) Voh bas kabhi kabhi 2-3 kgs upar neeche ho jate hai...

I said to myself "Well, Aarav was right Nandini is so sensitive regarding her weight... How much ever weight you gain I will always love you Nandini..." We then heard some noise downstairs and we all straightened up...

Navya- Manik...tum ready rehna ok... Nandini mein uncle aunty ko distract karke rakhti hun and you sneak out Manik...

Nandini- ok.

Navya went down and went to the kitchen to meet Nandini's mom... Her dad was in his room.

Nandini- Manik let's go...

We tip toed and came out of the front door. We reached my car and I finally felt relieved that I wasn't caught... "that was close..." I started to walk towards the driving seat and stopped...

" vaise tumne kal mujhse poocha tha that aren't you beautiful..."

I knew she was looking at me... "You are the most beautiful girl in the world for me aur tumhe hot lagne ki koi zarurat nahi... I like you the way you are..." (I smiled and winked at her). She was blushing after listening to me and I saw her blush even more when she looked at me...

"Bye..." I sat in my car and then left from there...

PRECAP-

The choreographer was explaining steps to Manik and Soha for the next shot...

Choreographer - Ok guys...take lete hai...Manik and Soha ready???

They both nodded...

Choreographer - Ok 5,6,7,8...roll sound... camera...and action...

The music starts...Soha and Manik started to perform...

(Female voice):

Manik and Soha were confused as they were doing it right... they looked at the choreographer as to what went wrong...

Choreographer - (looked at a girl) Ma'am aap frame mein hai...please thoda side ho jaiye...

The girl was Nandini... She looked at the choreographer who got a bit scared after she stepped close to him... Manik chuckled and Nandini turned to look at him... Manik immediately stopped laughing...

BAPPA was keenly watching all this sipping his afternoon tea...then he saw Nandini turning to look towards Manik and he immediatley looked at his royally spoilt brat...

BAPPA- (chuckled) Manik beta don't stand like this, it's time for action... Varna aap gaate reh jayenge "HOTE HOTE PYAR HOTA HAI...😆"
