I was sitting just opposite to Nandini so that i could observe her expressions, but she hardly managed to have an eye contact with me.The lunch got over.
Nandini got up and said she needs to leave with Devika. This time i wasn't that irritated when Aryan too left with her...She was trying her best even now not to look at me which puzzled all my friends except Cabir...I was smiling on her being conscious in my presence even after I told her it's ok...
But I was loving it, so I have some effect on her, i said to myself and this got such an unsual joy to my heart and now butterflies in my stomach again were dancing... We all left for Mukti's place...I was sipping coffee and then Mukti screamed out of excitement when Cabir told all of them what happened in the car...
Mukti- really...Cabir you mean Nandini was nervous...ohhh isiliye she wasn't looking or speaking to Manik...Manik I think tonight you should seriously drop a hint to her at the club...
"Hhmmm. ..." I was smiling like a fool and tthinking of how to make my visit to 9 MILES look like a co-incidence...Then my phone beeped and i got distracted from thoughts... it was my Dad's call from Venice...
Dad-Hey hi son how are you? London se koi kya aagaya, tum toh apne mom dad ko hi bhul gaye hhmmm...
"Dad how are you? how is mom...kya dad...don't start your teasing...How is your holiday going?"

I was done with their teasing session and then fianlly my Mom made them stop. We spoke about their trip and they said they would come back soon with gifts for all of us...
After the call i was thinking how to reach 9 MIles...Then Aliya spoke...
Aliya- guys if we go to 9 Miles just like that Nandini will doubt us...
I knew i can't take that chance...Then our master planner spoke something...
Cabir- aarree why should we think of an excuse, hum aise hi chalenge...
Everyone including me gave him a confusing look...
Cabir- Guys chill...what if Nandini and her friends khud hi hummein invite kar le...
How was that possible and then it struck me...Cabir was genious...I sadi loudly "DEVIKA..."
Cabir- Bang on...vaise bhi she likes to be with hot boys...(Cabir winked at me...)
Cabir had got her number over the lunch...He messaged her.
"Hey hi Devika it was great meeting you...Hope you were happy to meet us too..."
In an few seconds Devika replied...
Devika "Hi Cabir, i am more than happy to meet you guys...its like a dream come true...i wish i could spend some more time with you all...Hope you didn't mind..."
Cabir- "Devika chill, in fact hum log aaj free hai...so if you want you can hang out with us..."
Devika - "Hey i am going out with my friends to 9 Miles...sorry it won't be possible to join you guys...Hold on, why don't you all come to 9 Miles and join us...Please, Please don't say no... Please get Manik too...Please..."
That was it...That;s what we wanted an invitation from them...
Cabir messaged her "Sounds cool, looks like a great plan...Cool we'll see you there at 10:00 p.m. then...See you soon"
I was damm happy and excited...
Mukti- guys i think we should get going, we need to get ready and then leave at 9:00 p.m...I'll see you at the club seedhe...Dhruv i'll pick you up.
We all left for our home...All this while on the drive i wa thinking of how to get into Nandini's brain and know her thoughts about me...Devika, Devika she can be really a great help...But, that Aryan...whatever happens i'll keep him away from Nandini tonight...
It was 8:30 p.m. and i was all set t leave as i had to pick up Aliya and Cabir on the way...I was waiting with Aliya for Cabir to come down and i thought i should message Nandini.. i was typing the message, but then stopped...no...

I started to drive and then Cabir spoke...
Cabir- Guys let's do one thing, Manik ek kaam karte hai tu ghar chala ja vapas...
"What, what the hell Cabir, dude what are you saying" i couldn't beleieve Cabir said that...
Aliya- Cabir what's wrong...don't you remember how much effort we have put to get that invitation from them, an d now you are saying that Manik shouldn't go...
Cabir-Guys chill...at least let me complete...pehle hi suna dete ho...listen...mein soch raha tha let's observe Nandini...i mean let's all go and mention that Manik isn't coming to the club...If Nandini gets worried or asks us about Ma nik, we'll come to know that voh Manik ko miss kar rahi hai and she was expecting him to be around...
"Cabir what kind of a plan is this...are you mad..."
Aliya- Manik i think Cabir is right...by this we can know if Nandini misses you or not...simple psychology yaar...remember how guys did it with me for Dhruv...
Then i understood their point...
We all reached there and as decided i didn't step out of the car and was waiting...God why... FAB 5 needed no permits to enter and they met Devika, Nandini and all in front of the entrance gate for 9 Miles...
Nandini- hi guys, i wasn't aware tum log yaha... (she was surprised to see us)...
Cabir- well Devika didn't you inform Nandini that you invited us too...
Devika- ohh sorry i forgot to tell her...well chuck that...good to see you all...hey where is Manik?
Nandini looked around, but didn't say a word...i was hearing and looking at this scene from a short distance...
Devika- guys let's go...i so wish Manik would have been here...
Cabir- voh Manik wanted to come but...Kher forget it...chale...
Nandini was a bit confused...but then she left with all of them...
They all ordered drinks except Nandini...Cabir and Dhruv were updating me everything...God i wanted to just go in...But i had to wait...After lot of hesitation Nandini came to Mukti.
Nandini- vaise good you guys came...Manik, i mean Manik nai aaya...all ok?
Mukti was waiting for this question...
Mukti- voh Nandini...Manik...why don't you ask him on your own...tumhara bhi friend hai...ask him to come...
Nandini- nai, i mean tum lgon ne bola usse and he hasn't come, so why will he come if ask...
Dhruv- why don't you try it out...maybe he comes...
Mukti when had seen Nandini coming to her had quickly called me up to make me hear their conversation...I thought to myself sitting in the car...'So ma'am is finally asking about me...not bad...' but then it came to my mind 'Manik what is wrong with you, voh tujhe ek friend ki tarah treat kar rahi hai, that's why she asked...' and with this thought made my heart sink again...
Nandini- Dhruv why will he come if i call him, it's ok...
Dhruv- acha try once, what if he says yes...
Nandini was thinking about it...but then said 'No...'
Which made me a feel a bit low...She left and Mukti spoke to me...
Mukti- Chill Manik, she will call you...just wait ...
I waited for a few mintues for her to message or call me...20 minutes passed by...no sign of her...i was about to give up...and then i started my car and was about to leave from the club.. My phone beeped...it was Nandini.
"Hello..." (i wanted to sound as normal as i can)
Nandini- Hi Manik, voh i called up to know if you are fine...i mean you should have joined us...
"Voh Nandini i thought maybe you were uncomfortable me being around...aaj lunch pe bhi you didn't speak to me, so i thought i shouldn't bother you..." i said it to her in a fake sad tone...
Nandini- Nahi (she immediatley said) No i mean nothing like that...Manik you don't bother me...in fact you are really nice...(she realised what she was saying... and stopped)
"So, you are asking me to join you?" (i so wanted to do that...)
Nandini- ha voh...everyone was asking for you... Devika...devika asked me to call you...ha...Devika...
I said to myself Devika ya you Nandini who wanted to call me, hhhmmm??? It was for the first time Nandini wasn't sure of what she was saying...in fact we never had such a conversation before...
"Well, in that case if you are missing me so much, i think i should come..."
Nandini immediatley reacted with a confused tone...
Nandini- when did i say i missed you??
I chuckeld... "Well ok if you didn't, toh i won't come..."
I was loving it, this plan actually was working...Too good...I was saying to myself 'Come on Nandini, Come on...speak up...'
Nandini- aarree can't i ask you to just come like that..."
That was it..."Ok, fine...i'll be there in 15 minutes..."
Nandini- Bye...
