Part two - Coffee pette
*Three days later*
Manik was trying his phone to his friend Cabir who had promised that he would call him. But his friend as usual did not call him in time and that really annoyed him .
He irritatingly tried the phone again when a sudden push by someone made his body jerk in 90 degree and his phone flew from his hand and crashed into the ground . Anger started boiling inside him and he with all the attitude turned back to see who the hell had just done that.

Nandini had walked very swiftly as it was getting late and she had to get home on time . She walked without literally looking at anyone , pushing and pulling down the street when she banged with someone . She realised her state hearing a crashed sound .
She looked up only to look at the person she never wished to see .

"What the ... Can't you look where you are walking . "
"Sorry "
"What sorry ? What sorry , you know you just broke my ...
Hey wait a minute aren't you the same girl , that night in the bar ..."
"Sssh "
Nandini quickly shut his mouth with her hands , stopping him to say further while Manik smirked .
"You just broke my phone "
"I m sorry . I m really sorry "
"Uh huh . Sorry wouldn't bring back my phone , would it ? "
"Okay so what should I do instead of that ? "
"Ummm ... Are you trying to tell me you wanna pay me for it in some other way ?"
Manik's brow raised up and his eyes shone with bright naughty glint . This glint of naughtiness scared Nandini and made her curse her for her words.
"What do you want ? "
"Umm ... Let me think "
His silence was pining her down to death .
"Okay maybe a coffee "
Nandini sighed in relief as she heard that and Manik smiled in satisfaction .

They reached the coffee shop and ordered coffee as they made themselves comfortable in their respective chairs .
"So let's start from the beginning .Whats your name ? "
"Nandini . Nandini Moorthy "
"Moorthy like Bhagwan ki Moorthy ? "
"Nope . My surname is Moorthy and yours ? "
"Oh oh , Malhotra . Manik Malhotra . So you stay here , in New York ? "
"Nope I live in India . Came here to attend my cousin sister's wedding . And you live here alone ? "
"Yup . I live here alone . My family is in India "
As Manik finished his sentence the waiter brought them two hot cups of coffee .
Nandini made a face and turned her head away .
"What happened ? You don't like coffee"
"Nope I love coffee it is just that I hate it's smell . "
"Woah weird . Huh . I know what smell you like . Smell of vodka right ? "
"Nope , please don . It was my first time I was drinking . My cousin and her friends forced me to , on the condition of my marriage . "
"It seemed so . So you are getting married ? "
"Yes"
"How's the guy ? "
"I don't know . I have never met him "
Manik choked the coffee he was drinking .
"W*F ! You don know about the guy you are marring ? "
"Yup . And I don think it is necessary . My family chose him so I can trust them"
"Okay what if your soon to be husband is a serial killer or a women dominator or someone with fifty shades "
"Chii ! I know he would not be like that . My chacha chose him "
"Lol that's just so stupid . People don even by a mobile without guarantee and you are going to marry !"
"And what's your type of guarantee Mr Malhotra "
"At least the girl and boy should know about each other "
Suddenly Manik's phone beeped with message .
"Okay I need to go . And hope you will pay for the coffee "
...
"Weird person "
"Weird girl "
...
"Manik where the hell where you ? I have been like here waiting for like more than 45 minutes . "
"Now you are acting like a typical girlfriend . "
"Shut up . I m literally gonna end our relation if this goes on "
"Oh really . Don worry I am not gonna beg like a typical lover boy , Mr Cabir "
Manik punched his drambaaz friend Cabir .
"Okay so let's get on with the practice alright . We don have time as you are leaving for India next week "
"I don wanna go . ! And what do you mean by me only . You too are going to accompany me "
"Uh huh. Never in your wildest dreams "
"Yeah but in your wildest nightmares , you are coming and that's all . "
...
"Yeah Navya finished packing . And yes I'm coming tomorrow . I know I have my engagement in the next upcoming weeks."
Nandini smiled as she talked to her sister Navya and packed her bags .
She could not wait to be home .
