Part 12-
Manik's POV-
'Nandini can't you get it...I am attracted to you..I like you!! Your too pure and I...I...just take it I am having a huge crush on you...Please don't take me wrong...but ya..Do you!? Matlab feel the same...' finally I said it out loud.
I looked at her but she had no expression...or rather a bewildered one.She looked blank and that made me rethink on my words..Nothing wrong I had voiced out what was in me now for a while.I understand that all this relationship and stuff seems like a risk to her...but I wanted to make her belief enough strong to take a leap of faith.
'Nandini...You fear taking risk.But you should actually fear the regret you'll have if u don't.Trust me for once..not everybody is the same.I mean what I said...anyways..remember I am there ok!!' I said 'You don't have to answer now..infact don't ever if you don't feel like it!! I won't mind but...' but before I could say further...uski tanki khul gayi...ya ya she started crying.
'Aree kitna roti ho tum...lagta hai tumhare bheje mein PaNi hi bhara hai..' I said in a bit jolly tone taking her in a side hug that I felt made her feel awkward..'Listen don't feel awkward. Jab tak tum jawab nai deti..we will be as we were.' And once and for all I end it there sensing relief gor both of us..I took her in my embrace trying to take all pain and give her some peace.
'Nandini...mujhe bhook lag rahi hai!! Anything to eat!!' I asked like a typical foodie and she laughed..Thank god!! Hasi toh sahi..I myself went to the kitchen to look for something and it was spick and span...there weren't even any dishes in the sink nor any washed ones on the platform.
'Nandini...did you or did you not eat anything.' I asked suspiciously and this Oh so smart tiny head tried to smartly change the topic..Sandwich chalegi..? Ya phir parantha..'
'Tumne jo khaya tha dinner mein..' he said with a smirk on his victory on making the tables turn.. 'Maine...maine cheese toast khaaya!!'Damn she was lying.
'Stop lying' said Manik with a fake smile.They made some sandwiches and milkshake.
'Ye..hume aise hi ghooregi kya.!! Manik asked looking at Cherry who was sitting down wagging her tail looking at them. 'Haan!! Usne kha liya hai na..!!' she said laughing and gesturing her dog to come to her..she fed herself and her dog!! Again!! I wonder kitna khati hogi ye..Shayad Nandini se bhi zyada..
It was 1.00 now...we were sitting in her balcony speaking nothing and looking at nothing specific.Well let's say...she was looking at the moon and me at her.Silence is all that prevailed.I knew she knew I was lookin at her but she didn't object..
It was getting cold now.I guess we should get in. When I turned a bit to say this to her..I saw..the most serene sight in this whole world.The girl I like..sleeping..cudling her dog.
Manik smiled at her innocence and gently freed Cherry.He then picked her up and laid her down on her bed.He was about to get up when she held his hands entangled them with hers..He didn't move an inch but sat there happily n content.
'Hmm...she won't accept but she too likes me..haina!!' He spoke to her dog..who barked in return. 'Hey shh!! She'll wake up' he quitened it.He sat there the entire night..looking at her or a perfect word...adoring her..pecking her forehead...caressing her head!! It was morning and still she was asleep.He tried taking his hand out carefully but she eventually woke up.
Nandini's POV-
I woke up with a jerk as I felt some movement then.
'Hey relax it's me..go back to bed!!' I heard him say.He was sitting next to me..last night in the balcony.But how did I land up in my room.As if reading my thoughts he answered...'Tum kal wahi sogayi thi so I brought you in and then tumne mera hath pakadliya.I didn't want to disturb your sleep so...''Guilt struck me...he spent the whole night sitting and I was sleeping comfortably tucked in bed..'Wo I'm sorry..par tumhe mujhe uthana chahiye tha na Manik!!' I said and that monkey sat there smiling. 'Kya has kyu rahe ho!!
'Kuch nai!!..chalo I will freshen up and leave.Practice bhi toh karni hai na!!' He was right. I nodded and went to the washroom. After me..he went and then I made coffee.After breakfast..he got up to go..
'Bye Nandu!! Meet you soon' he said and pecked my hair. Likes it..infact I WAS liking this attention. But then I was scared too..I knew he wasn't going to break my truat...but I needed time to get used to it.
He left and I too got ready..
It was already 9.30.This time I was late.There was too much of traffic.So instead of waiting for the U turn..I got down and decided to cross the road as it was on just the opposite side held Cherry's chain to cross. I almost reached the other side of the road when suddenly...
So here I am with a thik thak update.I know chota hai..but for a mild response I guess it's pretty good!! SILENT READERS...I WILL PM NOW IF I GET AN OK RESPONSE
