"lets go out for lunch na.." cabir said to navya. Both were sitting in the lounge talking some random stuffs.
"bahar kyun...?" navya asked totally confused and cabir held her hand and said kissing her knuckles " kyun ki I guess ghar mai humhae privacy nahi milaegi.." and winked at her. Navya blushed hard and nodded her head in a yes and said " mai change karkae aati hun.." and ran to her room.

Pick up the phone dammit.. manik cursed dialling the number again. The phone kept ringing but the owner of the phone was too busy to lift it. After what felt like a decade the call connected and the very next moment
"kahan mar gaya tha salae tu..??" manik whisper yelled over the phone as he didn't want nandini to hear what he was talking.
"yaar so raha tha.." he replied lazily. Manik closed his eyes to control his anger and sadi inhaling a deep breath
"my dear Abhimanyu kidnly get up and go to my house along with mukthi.. I have called her and she moight be there any moment.. vo tujhae sab kuch samjha degi.. now get up.." manik said in the same tone turning around to see if nandu was anywhere around and found her sleeping on the bed.
In reply abhi just hummed and hung up. Manik sighed and thought " not so easily cabir...!" and smirked but little did he know that the fire there was on both sides.
FLASHBACK : ( 3 YEARS AGO - SHIMLA )
Navya and Mukthi were in the Shimla airport as they were here for their college's tour and were waiting for the flight to come as it was delayed due to the bad weather.
"mukthi coffee peenae chalein..?" navya asked yawning and mukthi nodded in a yes and both moved to the near by caf. They had coffee and little snacks and were coming out when suddenly navya's eyes fell on a nearby gift shop . she immediately decided to go there and but something for manik. So dragging mukthi along navya reached there and her eyes fell on a dream catcher. She was about to take it when someone else grabbed it. Navya's blood boiled as she chose that gift for manik and at any cost she was going to take it. The other person who took it before she could was looking at the gift and there was a huge smile on his face.
"hello mister.. yeh humhae dae do.." Navya malhotra was angry.
"sorry miss.. but I took it first.." he too was no less
"lekin humane issae pehalae dekha tha.." she cribbed now and the other person shrugged his shoulders and said " so what.. I took it first and this is mine now.." and turned to walk away. Navya held his shoulder and turned him around and said "dekho behas math karo.. yeh humhae dae do.. bolo kitnae paisae chahiyae.." she was going crazy. The other person frowned at her tone but still he admired her and he thought to tease her and said smirking "kuch cheezein paison sae nahi khareed saktae madam and mai unmae sae ek hun... so keep ur money with you..." tears welled up in navya's eyes as she just wanted that one for manik at any cost.
"please yeh humhae dae do.." she asked cutely and the other one melted at her tone and was even surprised as just a moment ago she was fighting and now she was too cute to handle.
" but yaar... I took this for my sister and I cant give it to u.. so please.." he too said in a low soft tone.
"kya hua...?" mukthi came searching for navya
"mujhae yeh chahiyae.." navya said pointing to the dream catcher and mukthi understood
"ek aur piece nahi hai kya iska..?" she asked looking at the sales person who was standing near by and he nodded his head in a no.
"yeh humharae bhai kae liyae hai... please humhae yeh daedo naa.." navya again pleaded. The other person now was in a fix whether to give it or not. He selected it for his sister who meant world to him but the girl infront of him was no less than an angel.
"please.." navya was not going to leave it. The other person sighed and said "okay fine take this.." and placed it in navya's hands and she just jumped in happiness holding it carefully.
"but on one condition.." the person continued and navya looked at him all confused and to clear the same he continued " u will help me select a gift for my sister.." and looked at her for approval and navya looked at mukthi and both nodded their heads in YES. After about 40 minutes ransacking the whole shop navya brought a beautiful heart one half of it was written brother and the other half was written sister ( please imagine it ) and said handing it to that person "yeh lo.. tumhari behan ko yeh zaroor pasand aayaega.." and smiled widely. He took it from her hand and smiled imagining his sisters rection and said "thanks a lot.." and extended his hand for a hand shake. Navya hesitated a little but gave in seeing his genuine eyes. Both were lost in each others eyes when a fake cough brought them back to reality. It was mukthi
"chalein ?" she asked looking at navya and she unwantedly nodded her head in a yes as she wanted to spend some more time with that guy who had something special in his eyes.
"umm.. aapka naam...??" HE asked hesitantly and before navya could speak mukthi said "deepika." And navya looked at her all amused as she didn't get y mukthi lied. The other person smirked as he understood that they were lying and he too played along and said "ohh.. nice meeting u Miss Deepika... im Ranbir.." but little did he know he stroke a wrong cord. Navya was again clean bowled by that name.
Mukthi understood what was going in her bff's mind so she didn't waste a second and dragged navya along with her out of that shop.
"so Miss. Deepika.. nice start.. lets play the game in ur style..." he thought and came out of the shop looking for "deepika" and found her in the waiting lobby.
" so where are you from.." he asked sitting beside her and navya looked at him surprised
"itni jaldi bhul gayi mujhae.. we met in that shop a while ago.." he said pointing at the sop from where they just came out and navya giggled and said "nahi bhuli hun.." and he continued " so where are you from..?" he was back on the point
"Mumbai.." again mukthi jumped in the convo making navya as well as the other person frown. He looked at mukthi for a while and again shifted his focus to navya and said " kahan jaa rahae ho aap..?"
"Mumbai mae rehate hai toh Mumbai hi jayangae na.. Pakistan thodi jayangae.." again mukthi mocked at him.
"aap lawyer ho.." getting irritated HE asked mukthi and she frowned and said "no.." and he continued "toh inkae badlae aap kyun bol rahae ho.. let her speak na.. kitni sweet voice hai inki.." he said looking at navya and a slight blush crept her cheeks. mukthi was hell annoyed and was about to retort when the airport staff came to them and said looking at navya "mam now the weather is alright.. we can leave ..."
Navya's face fell on hearing this as she was really interested in that Ranbir.
"common chalo.." mukthi said getting up and navya forced a smile on her face and got up and turned towards Ranbir and said "okay nice meeting you.. byee.." and walked with mukthi. He kept looking at her until get left his sight. He felt a strange pain seeing her leaving but rubbed it off as his cell phone rang and seeing the called ID his heart filled with happiness
"bolo my baby.." he said lovingly
"bhai.. jaldee aa jao naa.. im missing you.." she said cutely
"as my princess says.." he said smiling wide
"Im missing you bhai.." the girl said getting emotional and he panicked and said " nandu.. baccha.. ill be there by evening.. please.. sad naa ho.." and she just hummed in response. He sighed and said " meri nandu sabsae good girl hai naa..." and she again hummed in response
"cabir beta tu jalde aa ja.. yeh theek sae khan abhi nahi kha rahi.." he heard his mom shouting from behind and fisted his hands at the carelessness of his sister and said in a strict voice " nandu is it true.." and no reply from other side. He could hear faint sniffs which meant she was crying now. He controlled his temper and said " nandu ill be there by evening.. tab we will talk about this.. eat something and take rest.. byee.. love you." And hung up.
( yes so this Ranbir was cabir himself )
After few days :
Cabir tried hard finding "deepika's" details but failed badly as all her details were kept secret as she was Manik Malhotras sister and even the flight that she boarded that day was Malhotras private plane so there was no scope for him to get details through passengers list.
Days passed but cabir couldn't get even a single clue of Navya..he tried a lot but failed. But navya's memories never left him.
**************** FLASHBACK ENDS **********************
Mukthi and Abhimanyu reached malhotras mansion only to find it empty. Mukthi called out for navya but there was no response. Finally a servant turned up and said navya went out with Ranbir for lunch. The same info was passed on to manik whose anger was increasing with each passing second.
After cavya came home mukthi and abhi were always around them as per manik's orders and didn't let tem spent time with each other.
Later that night :
Manik was feeding nandini who was sitting in his lap resting her head on his shoulder playing with his shirt buttons
"nandu.." he called her softly and she looked up at him
"baby do you love me...?" he said cleaning her lips as he had just finished feeding her the soup and she looked at him all confused and said cupping his face in her tiny palms "of course I love you ranbir.." he let out a deep breath and said " what if my name was not ranbir but something else.. kya tum mujhsae itna hi pyaar karthi..?"
Nandini looked at him and said " why are you asking this.." he nodded his head in a no and said "first answer my question.. would you have loved me the same way if my name was not ranbir.." nandini kept quite for a while and said " but tum toh ranbir hi ho naa.. toh kisi aur ki kya zaroorath.. please yeh sab batein math karo.. mujhae dar laghta hai.." and hugged him tightly snuggling close to his chest and manik sighed and patted her head until she was asleep and made her lie on the bed and covered her with the duvet and kissed her forehead. He moved to the balcony and starred at the stars for a while and dozed off in the swing in the balcony itself.
Next day early morning chacha-chachi along with dhrulya were back and manik immediately left telling them that he had a critical situation in his company that took place in his absence and he had to sort it out. Nandini was sleeping when he came to her room kissed her forehead and pecked her lips and mumbled a sorry in her ears before leaving.
