hey guys
I know everyone is depressed.A small attempt to cheer you guys up. A thought crossed my mind and I penned it down.Hope you guys like it.
FIREFLIES AND TRUE LOVE
part 1
"You know navya, Mom said that when there is true love these fireflies glow" i spoke out loud in excietment taking out my jar of fireflies from my bag.
"Vow nandu, ye to bahut sunder hai" She said caressing the jar.
Navya and I were lost in our girlie talks talking about true love when suddenly Manik and cabir entered.
"Hey girls" Cabir called out waving his hand .
I froze seeing them and quickly slid the jar back into my bag.Every bit of me wished and prayed that they hadn't heard my logic of True Love.My own self was scolding me for speaking so loud while the other part of me defending myself saying 'Mujhe kya pata tha ye monster aur uska friend abhi aa jayenge'
I was brought back from this self talk session by Cabir's loud laugh.And yes what I dreaded had actually happened.They had heard my philosophy and what else could I expect from him.
But to my great surprise , manik stood still gazing at me.He was not laughing at all.
"Oh C'mon Nandini grow up.What stupid logic is this!
Fireflies and all.Like seriously you believe in all this in 21st century." Cabirr was short of breath as he had laughed a lot.
I was annoyed but I thought it was better to be quiet than to argue.
"Arrey tu kyu itna chup hai...share your opinion dude" Cabir patted manik's shoulder whose gaze was still fixed at me.
"manik" Cabirr called out a bit louder this time as there had been no response from his side."Where are you lost?"
"A...haan...I mean... nahin" He stammered "Mera matlab kahin bhi to nahin".He said rotating his eyeballs searching for excuse as if the clue was hidden somewhere in the room.
I couldn't help smiling at his cute reaction.
"Tum bhi na Cabir, stop this lame talk" navya intervened disappointed with her boyfriend's behaviour.
"What!!! Who 's doing the lame talk...her or me" Cabir said pointing towards me.
"Obviously tum"Navya retorted
"Main nahi ye" he was a little infuriated .
And they started bickering like a couple normally does.But manik and I were least bothered at that time as we were lost in each other's eyes.
