Part 13
Nandini and Manik reached home. They had dinner and went to their room. It was an hour later Manik had slept hugging Nandini close and tightly while Nandini was busy in her thoughts.
Nandini pov
Have I forgiven Manik completely. Do I trust him now? But what if Cabir had not come there that day! It would have been so different if Jenny would have not been caught cheating on Manik. This would not be possible. What if Manik doen not actually love me, may be he is just trying to forget Jenny.
This mere thought brought Nandini heartbeat to a hault. No she couldn'tlet this happen. Though she loved him irrevocably but she never wanted to become a second option for him. She was always deprived of love since childhood but now she didn't want to face the same situation again.
She slowly tried removing Manik's hand to get out off bed she wanted some time alone to see the situation properly but Manik's grip on her only tightened. Finally accepting her defeat she let it be there and slept.
Next Morning!
Manik got up because of absence of Nandini's scent. He got up with a jerk and started looking around to get a Glimpse of her but she was not around. He went to the kitchen to search for her but she wasn't there. Now his mind was exploding with negative thoughts just when he saw a pink note kept at the table it read:
Manik I am shifting to orphanage for a few days! Need toclear my mind! I hope you understand. Please take care. Bye
Nandini.
Manik couldn't believe this. He immediately took his car keys and went to the orphanage.
Manik reached there and after wishing the caretaker of the orphanage he went to Nandini's room.
He entered in without knocking. Before Nandini could register anything she was pulled into a huge frame. Manik immediately held her close. After 10 minutes he left her and kissedher forehead and said: "Nandini why have you come here ! Bola tha na maine ki tumhare bina nahi jee sakta phir aise kyu kar rahi ho?"
Nandini replied" Manik please try to understand jo main kehne wali hoon okay?" Manik nodded.
She continued"Manik this all is happening so fast that I am not able to believe it. You know tumhara Jenny ko chodna aur mujhse pyaar karna and all is just so unreal I need time to believe all this. It's just that I think it will take time for me to trust you completely."
Manik had lost all his sense. After yesterday he thought maybe Nandini trusted him completely but today his all hope were shattered. The place was suffocating him, he wanted to just get out of this place. He without listening anything further left the place. While Nandini stood there feeling miserable for hurting Manik.
Here Manik reached Dhawan mansion and as soon as Cabir opened the door he hugged him and started crying.
Cabir was shocked and started patting Manik's back and said" Bass Manik bass kar mujhe bata kya hua hai? Nandini ko kuch hua? Kahan hai vo?Bol please ro mat" Still Manik continued crying. Finally after half an hour he stopped and looked at Cabir. Cabir gave him an assuring nod to speak up. Manik finally said " She doesn't trust Cabir! Chali gayi mujhe chodke ! Nahi rehna chahti hai mere saath" and he narrated the whole situation to Cabir.
After thinking for some time Cabir said " Manik, Nandini ek bohot mamuli ladki hai. Usse abhi tak believe nahi ho raha hai ki tu usse sach mein pyar karta hai. Tune uske saath jo pehle kiya uske baad usko lag raha hoga ki tu sirf Jenny ko bhool ne ke liye ue sab kar raha hai. Vo pehle ki baatein bhool nahi paa rahi hogi . Tujhe use vishvas dilaana hoga ki tu usse sach mein pyaar karta hai. Please meri baat samjh aur apni itni khoobsurat zindagi ko barbaad hone se bachale"
Manik now understood Nandini's pov and cursed himself for taking impulsive step. He then called orphanage and asked the caretaker to give the phone to Nandini.
On the other hand Nandini had been crying since the time Manik had left the place. After 1 hour of continuous crying she heard a voice calling her. She reached down after washing her face when she was informed tha Manik had called and was asking for her. Fear engulfed her what if Manik asked her to stay here forever and never return to him.
Still she took the phone and said hello. Manik replied "Hello Baby, I am sorry for acting so impulsive. It's just that staying away from you scares me the most. I am sorry for all the times I have hurt you but this time I promise I won't hurt you ever. I LOVE YOU and will wait for the time you will yourself come to me. Bye I love you and take care and please don't cry!"And he cut the phone. Nandini was smiling widly.
Manik kept the phone and said "This time it's going to be forever. I love you and will make sure you start trusting and loving me too"
