PART 2

"Woh kya Manik?" I asked raising my eyebrows

" Woh I want to see your mehandi" he blurted

"Ohhh" I said. "But few hours back to you said You were not interested naa" I said reminding him his statement.

FEW HOURS BACK...FLASHBACK STARTS

"Manik" I said as he nuzzled his mouth in the crook of my neck playfully

We were on the terrace.He sat with his back supported by the wall behind and I laid with my back on his chest and our hands entwined.

"Hmm" he replied busy with his favorite chores

"Navya's mehandi must have got done by now.I have to go as its my turn to get the mehandi on my hands before the mehandi wali girl leaves" I said expecting him to be excited about my mehandi.But to my dismay the reaction was totally opposite.

"nahin , don't go pls" He whispered , his mouth doing sweet tortures on my earlobe this time.

I could feel myself trembling under his spell.But I must stop him now , I thought. Besides I really wanted to get mehandi on my hands.

Breaking the trance I got up with a jerk.I looked back only to see his annoyed face.

"What was that" he asked

"Manik pls, I want to get mehandi before that girl leaves." I said firmly

"What nonsense Nandini, Its not your wedding " he said trying to pull my arm.But I moved back annoying him even more.

"Wont you like to see mehandi on my hands" I asked with excietment

" No" he almost freaked out " I don't like all that mehandi n stuff.It smells horrible." He pretended as if he would puke right there.

"whattt" I said disheartened " Then don't come near me till the mehandi is on my hands" I said and left from there without lwaiting for his reply.

I made up mind then only not to see him for another few hours.

FLASHBACK ENDS

"Woh to maine aise hi bola tha" he retorted " I dint want you to leave actually" he said with a smirk

"Oh Now I get it" I said playfully

"so now , show me" he said excitedly rubbing his hands

But how could I give in so easily. Afterall I am Nandini Murthy

I got up and ran to the corner of the wall hiding my hands behind my back.

"hey, wait ...whr r going?" he asked raising his eyebrows

"I wont show you" I replied with mischief in my eyes though I could see

him winning, yet I loved teasing him

"Oh!!" he said "Acting naughty with me"

I nodded with a big smile

"Nandini" he shouted " Lizard behind you" scaring the hell out of me.

"Where?"I shouted and ran into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"Dekha , kitna aasaan hai tumhe paas bulana" he whispered

And I realized that it was a prank. I released him.I was still breathing heavily and scared to death and he stood there with his arms folded on his chest and a devilish grin pasted on his face.

"manik" I said and hit him hard on his chest.

And before I started complaining he held both my wrists and pulled me closer.

No matter how many times I had been this close to him but his proximity always made the butterflies do salsa in the pit of my stomach.

"Shhh' he whispered, his hot breath fanning my face, his cologne driving me crazy.

He lifted me in his arms and started walking towards the couch.Our eyes locked , our breaths mingling.

He sat on the couch and carefully placed me on his laps, holding me like a baby.

" so now" he said huskily if you are done with your naughty games , can we get down to actual business?"he asked pointing toward my hands that held his neck securely.

" Show me" he said and this time I obeyed him bcas I also wanted him to see my mehandi.

He then made me sit beside him and held my palms in both his hands.I closed my eyes in anticipation of his next step.He looked at the mehandi lovingly and bent down to kiss both my hands one by one.The touch of his lips on my hands sent cold shivers throughout my body.I opened my eyes to see the look on his face.

"Beautiful" he murmured

My cheeks turned red , the same colour as my hands on hearing this one word from his mouth.

"Manik , Do you know, I got the alphabets of your name hidden in my mehandi" I said biting my lower lip " Can you find them?"

"Really!"he said in an excited tone.

"Sure I would love to do that BUT.." he stopped with the devilish grin returning to his face

"BUT.."I repeated

"But I would want a reward in return!!!"

I knew this was coming. I sometimes wonder howcome this guy is so spontaneous when it comes to being naughty.But somewhere I enjoyed this facet of his personality.

"What reward" I asked politely

"You know what" he came close to my ear and whispered.His warm breaths again playing havoc with my senses.

I turned away my face shyly and he got his answer.He lifted my palms and got busy searching alphabets of his name in my hands and I admired him as he looked like a kid who was searching for a toy that he wanted at every cost.
