Chapter 5:
Both MaNan drove off to the city outskirts unaware of what fate has written for them.
Manik reached the place first. It was the Juhu beach. He went there took off his shoes and sat on the sand with hands wrapped around his knees.
On the other hand Nandini also reached the beach completely unaware of Manik's presence. She also sat on the same position as Manik but a little far away..Nandini's hair was flying around her face making her look like an angel which had just descended from heaven.
She opened her boots and started walking towards the waves..
She felt a tap on her shoulder..
Turned around to see who it was and there was the monster Manik. She was shocked to the core...
Manik's p.o.v
I saw a girl walking towards the waves and I don't know what happened I started walking towards her. I tapped on her shoulder and she turned around looking like a doll.
But why was she looking shocked?
Nandini's p.o.v
REALLY?? Like seriously??? Why?? Why?? I came here to give relaxation to my piece of mind but WOW! It got blown away!!

Cabir- "Where did this Manik disappear?" He said trying his mobile the umpteenth time.
A girl from the back called for him.
"Hey! Excuse me? Could you please show me my classroom? Actually I am new here and my friend is also not with me!! So?" Navya asked showing her best behavior
Cabir was totally smitten by her beauty!! She was wearing a purple dress till her mid thighs with a little makeup.
"Hello? What happened are you okay?"
"Yeah! So what's your category? Music?Science?Drama?" Asked Cabir politely composing himself.
"Music that would be!!" Navya spoke!
"I am in Music too!! Let's go then!!" Navya nodded and both left.

"Hey!! You are the airport girl right? I know you!!" exclaimed Manik
"What? Airport girl? Hello I have a name okay?" shouted Nandini as she was too shocked to react.
"Calm down hulk!!" Manik said throwing his hands in the air and stepping a bit away.
By hearing the name HULK a small smile curved it's way on Nandini's lips.
FLASHBACK
"How dare you do that? I'm not gonna spare you today. Believe me it will be the last day for you on planet earth.."
Shouted an angry Nandini.
"I'll go to Mars then" Manik replied
"You think I am joking? I am not going to leave you Retard!!" squirmed Nandini throwing a vase towards his direction, but to her dismay it hit her mirror.
"Calm down hulk!! You are going to kill me!! Before you start shouting again let tell me you one thing I did what I felt was right!!" Manik said in one breathe and Nandini sighed!
"Throwing my brownies out the window after gulping down 7 was not funny Manik". Nandini said and sat beside Manik.
"I made them for Rahul with so much efforts do you know that?"
Manik smirked
"Yeah I know that!!"
"So why did you throw them away?" Nandini complained innocently.
"Because you made them for Rahul but not for me, I was jealous you know!!"
Hearing his cute voice Nandini forgot about the mishap and hugged Manik tightly."
Manik's p.o.v
Hey you there? I snapped my fingers infront of her!
"Yeah!" she said finally coming out of her dreamland.
"So!! I saw you that day at the airport right?"
"Umm..I think so!" She replied
"Okay then I am Manik Malhotra and you?"
"I'm...umm.." Why is she stammering?
"I'm Nandini"
"Hi! Nandini" wait wait What?
she is Nandini?? No it can't be her! She has those puffy cheeks Dovey big eyes silky hair? Is she my best friend? Shall I ask her? She kinda looks like her!! Well kinda!! I need to get this sorted!! I was in my train of thoughts until she shouted!!
"Manik!! Look ice cream that to my favourite one. Let's go na please!!" I was actually scared by her scream. I kept my thoughts apart and looked in the direction.
"That's my favorite one too let's go" I said...
I ordered strawberry and she ordered chocolate.
"Why are you taking strawberry when you don't like it?" How does she know?
"What?" I replied out of shock
Nandini's p.o.v
Oh shit!! Curse me!!
"What did you say?" Manik again asked
"That..umm.." I was stammering
"Please elaborate" he said
"You are a boy and.. Umm.. Boys don't like strawberry!! So I thought u also don't like it! So I just asked but never mind forget it!" And he nodded.Are you happy Mr.Lame brain of mine? Phew at least he looks convinced.
"Who are you?" Manik asked eating his ice cream Aww he was looking so cute. Wait!!
What are you out of your mind I just told him who I am and he is asking me again? Does he have short term memory loss?
"What?" I gave a confused look.
"No!! You seem familiar. Have we met before?" Is he starting to recognise me? Oh no!
"No we haven't" I replied trying to behave normally.
"Okay" he seemed sad.
We strolled along the waves silently... I don't know why but it felt good being around him after a long time..
"Don't you have college?" He asked
"Don't you?" I replied
"A question with a question Mm impressive!" He smirked! His smirk didn't change.
I was about to turn around when my hand stuck with his hand! Hand or rather our Bracelet!!
He has it!! OMG he has my last gift!!
FLASHBACK
"Nandu! Don't go! Please doll! Who will make me brownies?" Manik said cutely while Nandini was in tears.
"Babu! I have to go! Please don't make it hard for me?"
"Really I am making it hard for you?" Manik shouted "You are leaving me and I am making it hard for you?" he finished and turned his head the other side.
"Babu? Angry? Look at me! Please! Nandini pleaded in the most cutest way possible and her Babu couldn't hold anymore and took her in a bone crushing hug.
"Is it really important Nandu?" Manik said in between the hug and Nandini just hmmed.
"But promise me you will keep in contact with me?" Manik softly commanded
"Promise!" Nandini said and broke the hug. She took out a small box and showed Manik same pair of bracelet.
"Manik! Listen take one and give me one! It will mark our friendship as a musical tie. The unbreakable bond!"
"Who needs a bracelet? Aren't we enough for each other?"
"Manik! Please!"
"Okay!" He took one and made Nandini wear the other.
"Don't ever loose it okay?" Nandini said
"Okay my doll!! I won't!" And they again hugged each other.
Manik's p.o.v
I looked at our hand and then at the bracelet. Why does she have the same bracelet as me?
" I am sorry!!" She said and entangled the bracelet.
I was too numb to react!
My trance got broken by the ringing of my phone.I picked it up
"Where are you homie?" Cabir said from the other end.
"Yeah wait I am coming!" I said and cut the call.
I was going to ask her about it when she got a phone call.
"Yeah I'm coming in half an hour wait!!" She said and cut the call.
"Bye I have to go now. It's late for college." She said took her boots and ran away.
There were a thousands of questions in my mind. Firstly her name is Nandini. Secondly how does she know I don't like strawberry only Nandu knew it, she is the soul reason I eat strawberry just to remember her.Thirdly she had the same bracelet. I need to figure this out soon. If she is my best friend then I can't loose her this time. I made a few calls and left for college.
