PART 35:
Manik made sure all got settled & then came back to his room, to see Nandini standing in front of the window, enjoying the quiteness of the night as the cold air touched her face. He moved closer towards her & moved his fingers on her bare back. Nandini shivered at his sudden touch & he whispered in her ears,
Manik: Its good to see that my touch still has such an effect on u!!
Nandini smiled at it as he hugged her from the back, placing his chin on her shoulder.
Nandini: Manik whats going on in ur mind...
Manik: Nothing much... I just wish to wake up the tigeress again...
Nandini blushed at it & turned towards him.
Nandini: Ohh really!!
She wrapped her hands around his neck,
Manik: Yes...
Nandini: And what if the tigeress says that she is not in a mood today & the tiger will hv to resist.
Manik didn't say anything to that and again started moving his hand on her back, he came further close towards her & gave her soft kisses on her face. He was simply touching his lips on her skin rather than kissing her. he continued it for a few seconds & Nandini closed her eyes, feeling him. He then slowly moved towards her lips & just gave a slight peck. Nandini was shocked by this & opened her eyes but by then Manik had moved to her neck & shoulder. The simple touch of his lips like that was making Nandini irritated, she stayed like that for sometime but then her tolerance level crossed its limits, she clutched Manik's hair tightly in her hand & lifted his face from her neck & the very next second she took his lips into hers. She pushed him towards the side wall & leaned over him, kissing him hard. Manik too joined her kiss & both of them kissed each other passionately. After sometime Nandini felt weak due to lack of oxygen & thus leaned more onto him for support. Manik understood it & tried to break apart but Nandini clutched his hair tighter & got more into his mouth, getting even harder. Then after a long long time she broke apart & rested her head on his chest. Both were totally out of breath & were gasping loudly. After getting a little better Manik whispered,
Manik: I thought that the tigeress wasn't in mood, but she actually scared the tiger as well...
Nandini lifted up her head from his chest & grabbed his collar & said,
Nandini: Thats because finally u hv understood how to turn me on...
Manik smiled at her & then said,
Manik: Ohh so Mrs. Malhotra can never resist having me so close & still not doing anything!!
Nandini: What to do actually my husband has given me a very bad habit..
Manik: Ohh so now ur husband is at fault!!
Nandini: Yes... u r!!
Manik: But I feel that its u bcoz of whom he has lost control over himself...
Both Manik & Nandini started laughing at this mad conversation as they knew that such an argument will never end between them. Nandini hugged Manik again & so did he. After some time he moved his hand slowly over her hair, in a caring way & said,
Manik: Chalo enough of fun... U really look very tired, u go n change, then lets sleep.
Nandini simply nodded at him & soon the couple got down to sleep. The next morning, Nandini got up early & arranged breakfast for everyone. Soon all the others also woke up & got ready. They were waiting for Mukti as she wasn't ready by then & thus, they didn't hv breakfast. Just then Nandini got up & said,
Nandini: If u all wanna wait for breakfast, I'll get coffee for all!!
She moved into the kitchen but her mind was busy thinking about something. She kept the milk to boil on the gas. As she stood there waiting for it to boil, she was thinking about Harshad & his words about his last wish. She was worried how to mention it to the others as she knew there was something really big which Harshad had done, when she was not around. And that was the very reason why even Aliya broke all her relations with him. Neither was he invited in her marriage & now did any one let him even meet Kavya or Sammer once. She kept on thinking about it & but then she knew that it was aliya's right to know about her brother. Then Manik, Aliya & Cabir came into the kitchen to talk something about Mukti, and noticed her standing right next to the gas with her hand on the platform, in deep thoughts. Just then the milkk boiled up & started flowing out of the vessel upon the gas & the plateform.
Manik: NANDINI!!
Manik shouted & rushed towards her to pull her back. Nandini got back into her senses & saw Aliya turn off the gas.
Manik: Where the hell r u lost?? U would hv got burned...
Manik shouted as the others too came into the kitchen.
Nandini: Manik, I don't know... I didn't realise when it boiled up.
Manik: Thats the reason, i don't like ur working in the kitchen... Enough now its decided, u r not gonna work in the kitchen any more ever...
Nandini: But Manik-
Manik: No buts... I hv decided & u hv to listen to me... U got it!!
Manik said sternly almost ordering her. Nandini simply looked down. Manik turned towards the servant & said,
Manik: Get the breakfast for everyone...
And with this he just held Nandini's hand & moved out of the kitchen. All the others followed but no one said anything, as they all knew Manik's anger. Just then Manik got a call from his office, his manager told him something about a deal & he shouted,
Manik: U bloody useless creatures... Can't u handle a simple deal without me!! God knows what do i pay u for... Now stop calling me & prepare for the meeting, I'll be there in 2 hours...
He disconnected the call & the servant served the breakfast to all. Amms & chachi had seen this side of Manik for the first time & were shocked to see it. They couldn't belevie that the ever so calm Manik could be like this. Navya noticed it & whispered to them,
Navya: Aap log tension mat lijiye... This is not new, in fact this is the old Manik... This was the original Manik, just the same as he was before meeting Nandini, during college... The Manik that u see now is what nandini has made & u'll see her getting him back.
Both Amms & Chachi nodded at it but they were still not convinced. The breakfast was served but no one started. Nandini noticed it & said in a cheery voice,
Nandini: Guys, start na... Eat!!
All of them looked at her & she blinked her eyes in affermation. All smiled & started eating. Nandini turned towards Manik, who was just stairing at the plate, with his fists tightened to control his anger. Nandini kept her hand over his & sweetly said, "MANIK!!", but she got no response. She picked up a little food in her hand & took it near his mouth. Manik turned his face a little away & stopped her. She took her hand even closer & said sweetly,
Nandini: Manik sorry na, I promise I won't cook now... But plz hv this...
Still Manik didn't eat. This time Nandini simply kept the food back on the plate & said,
Nandini: Ohk ur wish... Don't eat.
Saying so she got up & said,
Nandini: I m getting late for work so I m taking the car, Cabir will drop u to the office... Bye Guys!!
Nandini turned around to leave, but Manik held her hand & said,
Manik: Finish ur breakfast properly & then do whatever u want...
Nandini: But u know that i never eat anything, if u don't!! So how can i eat??
Manik gave her an angry glare & then said,
Manik: Just shut up & sit right here... Otherwise u rn't going anywhere!!
Saying this Manik again turned towards his plate. Nandini got a naughty smile on her face & she picked up Manik's hand & sat on his lap. And Manik shouted,
Manik: Nandini what the hell r u doing?? Get up!!
Nandini: U only said na to sit, but how can i sit, when there is no place to sit... That chair is dirty!!
Manik touched that chair & then said,
Manik: Nandini the chair is not dirty... Get up & sit there!!
Nandini picked up the glass of juice near her & poured half of it on the chair.
Nandini: Now its dirty!!
Manik looked at her angrily, while their friends smiled, Amms & Chachi looked at each other in tension. Nandini placed her hands around his neck & rested her head on his shoulder,
Nandini: I m hungry!! Manik sorry na, promise it won't repeat.
Manik didn't reply her anything.
Nandini: Manik plz na... I hate this old Monster side of urs. If u don't listen now na then i'll not talk to u at all for at least a week.
Manik looked at her blankly & said,
Manik: Seriously... And u think my anger will go away listening to this.
Nandini got up from his lap & said,
Nandini: Monster Manik!!
She was about to walk away when suddenly a hand was wrapped around her waist & pulled her back. It happened so soon that she didn't even realise when she was back on his lap.
Nandini: Maaanik...
Manik: What??? Congratulations madam u succeded, now stop all this drama of urs & eat quitely.
Manik said with a smile, nandini hugged him & Manik motioned towards the servant to change her chair. Soon she was back on her chair & all ate.
Navya: Dekha chachi... I told u na... All this is normal, & Nandini knows how to handle it..
Mukti: Yes chachi, Navya is right!! This is their daily romance, we all r proofs of it.
Both Amms & Chachi smiled while Nandini blushed.
Manik: But that doesn't mean that u'll cook... From now cooking is prohibited for u!!!
Manik she sternly & she smiled slightly.
Cabir: But nandini, where wee u lost?? What were u thinking??
Listening this Nandini's smile faded away & all the otgers too turned towards her. Nandini gathered some strength within herself & said slowly,
Nandini: Guys, i want to ask u something!!
All of them got serious looking at her face.
Dhruv: Bolo na Nandini!!
Nandini turned towards Kavya & said,
Nandini: Kavya, baby u hv finished ur breakfast na!! Now take Sameer & go out to play... Chachi has to talk to the elders!!
Soon both of them left & Nandini said,
Nandini: Guys I wanted to know, what such happened in the past few years that now u all don't even meet harshad!!
Mukti: HARSHAD!!
Cabir: Nandini, don't u know about his acts... U do know right, then whats there to ask & how come suddenly u asked about him.
Nandini: But guys it had been years now... And ppl do change, then why can't Harshad.
All of them looked at her blankly, Just then manik asked,
Manik: Did that jerk meet u??
Nandini looked at him & then looked down & said slowly.
Nandini: Manik... I-
Manik (shouting): Nandini, i asked did u meet that jerk...
Nandini: Yes, I did!!
Manik immediately clenched his fists in anger, but Nandini held his hands & then said,
Nandini: Manik, calm down he didn't come to me... We just met accidently & then too he didn't say anything to me, I stopped him to talk.
Manik looked towards her & Nandini turned towards the others.
Nandini: Guys plz think about it, whatever he did that was years back, can't we forget it now!!!
Manik: Forgive hv u just lost ur mind. Don't u knw what all he did!! Mukti, Cabir, Me!! Ohk lets forget that but what about Aliya & Navya... What will u say about them, the way he hurted them.
Mukti: Nandini u knw after u went away!! Harshad tried to kill Manik using ur name... I mean can u imagine to what extend that man can go!! Plz don't come into his trap... That guy can never change. We all hv forgotten him & kept him away from our lives, so should u!!
Nandini: U all hv forgotten him, agreed... But aliya hv u also forgotten ur real brother.
Aliya kept quite & simply staired at her plate.
Nandini: Beleive me, I hv met him, I hv seen that he is sorry for what he did... Tell me Aliya, Hv u forgotten ur only family.
Aliya: My family is Dhruv & Sameer... My family is Fab5, u all... My entire family is sitting right here...
Nandini: Aliya, he has changed... Maybe he wants to apologise & thats why he wants to meet u & kavya!!
Navya: NOO!!(Navya shouted)... I won't even let Kavya be around him. She is my daughter, cabir's daugther... Kavya is not gonna meet him ever!!
Manik held Nandini's hand & then slowly said,
Manik: Nandini listen to me... We all r well aware of his ways!! I m sure that he is back with his dirty plans now & this time he is trapping u... So get one thing clear, u r not gonna meet him ever again, no matter what he says... And I m not gonna hear any more conversation about him...
Nandini simply stayed quite & looked down...
Aliya: Nandini, he is my brother, I knw him & he can never change... So its better u stay away from him, coz even i being his sister m not at all interested to meet him...
Saying so Aliya got up & turned to leave from there. Nandini simply sat there with a blank expression. Aliya got a few steps ahead & then Nandini said,
Nandini: No even if i say that this is his last wish...
Aliya stopped at her place & turned around & all the others looked at Nandini. Nandini didn't even move a bit, she kept on stairing at her plate & said,
Nandini: I m sorry Manik, I love u a lot, but this time I can't listen to u... Because being a doctor, its my duty to be there for my pateint in the last few days of his life.
All of them stared at her in shock.
Aliya: u mean Bhai is-
Nandini: Yes, he just has a few more days left & it is his last wish to meet u & kavya once.
Listening this Aliya immediately fell on her knees.
Dhruv: ALIYA!!
Dhruv rushed towards her, tears started flowing down her eyes. Dhruv helped her stand up & made her sit on the sofa. All the other who were standing near the table, joined her, except nandini. Nandini got up from the table & picked up her bag to leave. She was about to step out of the house when Aliya said,
Aliya: Nandini what happened to him??
Nandini stopped & turned around towards them. She walked towards Aliya & sat beside her & hugged her tight. Aliya started crying very badly. Nandini clamed her down for a few minutes & then said,
Nandini: Guys u rememberi told u all about a case which my senior doctor from Paris gave me... In which the pateint wasn't ready for the operation even after knowing that he may die... That was harshad only!!
All of them looked at her shocked & she told them everything that happened & then said,
Nandini: I did some tests & the result has come that even such a high level operation has only 10% chances to be successful in his case.
Abhi: What??
Nanidni: Yes!!
Amms: Par Nandu... there must be some way na... I knw u hv treated such heart blockages before also...
Nandini: Amms I knw I hv... But for Harshad he himself has made it worse... he knew about it from 6 months, still he didn't do anything!!
Just then her phone rang, it was from the hospital,
Nandini: hello!!
Diya: Good mrng Doctor... I called bcoz that patient in room no. 11, he is not at all coorporating at all...
Nandini: One min Diya!!
Nandini turned her phone on speaker & said,
Nandini: Yes Diya, what were u saying!!
Diya: Doctor Mr. Saxena is not coorporating with us at all. He hasn't had anything since last night & he is still doing the same.
Nandini: Give him a sleeping pill forcefully... without letting him know!!! And then when he sleeps get him a glucose drip attached. Rest i'll be there in a hour & see!!
Diya: But doctor that is illegal... If he complains u might get arrested.
Nandini(sternly): I m the doctor, not u so don't teach me!! Do as i say...
Diya: Ohk doctor!!
Nandini disconnected the call & said,
Nandini: Manik... Can u plz drop me to the hospital..
Manik: Sure!!
Nandini: Sorry guys I need to go!!!
Saying this nandini picked up her bag & got out. Manik stood there for a minute & then Aliya said,
Aliya: manik, can i plz come along!!
Manik smiled & nodded & with this all of them came out. Nandini saw them & Manik said to the driver.
Manik: Take amms, Chachi & Rishab home, we all r going with Nandini.
Nandini smiled listening to this & they all moved to the hospital.

Part 36:
After about an hour, all of them reached near the hospital.
Nandini: Manik plz take the car to the back door, I don't need chaos.
Manik nodded at it & turned to the back door & the rest two cars also followed him. They parked the 3 cars at the backside & entered the hospital. Everybody was shocked to see them, Nandini took them all directly to her cabin. As they entered the cabin, Nandini wore her aprin & got into her doctor's attitude, she sat on her chair & called someone from the landline.
Nandini: Diya.. In my cabin right now...
Two mins later, a girl entered into her cabin, very scared, but as she saw the Fab5, she was shocked. She kept on looking at them but then she saw Nandini's face, & lowered her head.
Diya: Doctor... When did u come, I didn't see u
Nandini: Yeah... We came from the back door... Now listen many ppl hv already seen Fab5 here, so media would be here anytime. Make all the security arrangments. No pateint should hv any disturbance & no one should get to knw the reason of their visit.
Diya: Ohk doc...
Nandini: Good... And who was the doctor incharge for room no. 11.
Diya: Dr. Pankaj!!
Nandini: Ohk, send him here, right now... And inform Dr. Agarwal of Fab5's presence.
Diya: Dr.Agarwal had to go to Delhi for some important case, last night... And he has requested u to handle everything, being the senior most doctor.
Nandini: Ohk!! Now get going fast..
Five minutes later, Dr. Pankaj entered & said,
Pankaj: Dr... U called me??
Nandini: Yes, Doctor I want to know the progress of Mr. Saxena... Do u hv the reports!!
Pankaj: Yeah...
He gave her the reports & then said,
Pankaj: As per ur instruction I had given him the sleeping pill & glucose drip. He must wake up any moment now!!
Nandini: Good, inform me as soon as he gets up!!
Pankaj: Sure!!
Pankaj left the cabin & just then sameer asked Dhruv,
Sameer: Daddy why hv we come here??
Dhruv was about to say something, when Aliya said,
Aliya: Baby, there is one uncle here... He is our friend & he is not well, so we hv come to meet him... u will meet him right??
sameer nodded his head in a yes & aliya smiled removing the tear drop from her eye. Soon Nandini got to know that Harshad was up now, so they all moved out. They all waited outside his room & Nandini got in, leaving the door a bit open.
Nandini: Good mrng Mr. Saxena...
Harshad: Hey Nandini, u r back again!!
Nandini: Yeah, I m back...
Harshad: And before u ask again, i must tell u that i hv still not changed my decision...
Nandini: And u won't tell me the reason... Anyway its ur choice... But y weren't u eating anything from last night??
Harshad: So that u would break the laws & then I'll complain about u to the authorities...
Nandini: ohh really is dat ur plan!!
Harshad: Actually its not... But u r related to Fab5, when my own sister can think so, then i won't mind u thinking so...
Nandini could notice his sad tone & thus said,
Nandini: Harshad I hv something for u!!
Harshad looked at her & Nandini said,

With this Aliya slowly stepped in with teary eyes.
Harshad: Aliya!!
Aliya ran towards him & hugged him. Harshad too hugged her & then sadi,

Aliya broke the hug & looked at him. Harshad removed her tears & said,
Harshad: Aliya, I m really sry 4 whatever i did earlier... Trust me I m really sorry!!
Aliya: Its ohk Bhai, Its gud that u at least realised.
Harshad: How couldn't I when my sister was so angry at me that she didn't even invite me on her marriage & now when she became a mother...
Aliya didn't say anything but just called out,
Aliya: Dhruv!!
Just then Dhruv entered the room with sameer in his arms. Harshad smiled looking at him & turned towards Aliya. Dhruv walked closer & made Sameer sit on Aliya's lap. Harhsad caressed his cheek & said,
Harshad: Hello Champ!!
Sameer: Hello...
Harshad: He has ur eyes!!
Harshad said to Aliya & she smiled, he then turned towards Dhruv & said,
Harshad: I m sry 4 everything Dhruv & I really m thankful to u 4 keeping Aliya so happy... Plz take care of my kiddo always!
Dhruv smiled & nodded at him. Just then Cabir entered with Kavya. Harshad saw them & said,
Harshad: Cabir come na...
Cabir moved forward with Kavya a bit behind him.
Harshad: I m glad that u came even after all that i did with u!!
Cabir: Harshad, That was the past, lets not mention it today...
Harshad looked at Kavya, standing behind Cabir. Cabir noticed it & said,
Cabir: Kavya, baby say hello to Uncle... Go meet him!!
Kavya didn't say anything or even move.
Nandini: Kavya, come on baby!!
But still Kavya didn't move. Again the door opened & everyone else came in. Navya went towards kavya & said,
Navya: Kavya beta, see uncle is not well wont u meet him... Go to him na...
But this time Kavya turned & straightly hugged Manik. Manik picked her up in is arms & she hugged him tight.
Manik: What happened to my baby why is she not listening to Mamma & Daddy??
Manik asked caressing her back. But still she didn't say anything. Both cabir & Navya looked at each other & then at her. Nandini could see Harshad's face drop. Manik looked at him & then said to Nandini.
Manik: Nandini... Remove the drip from his hand.
Nandini smiled at it & removed Harshad's drip. Manik put Kavya down & asked her to move. Kavya looked at Harshad & walked closer.
Harshad: Hello kavya!!
Kavya: Hello!!
Harshad: So is Kavya scared from hospitals..
Kavya nodded her head in a yes innocently.
Kavya: Uncle what happened to u??
Harshad: I m not well!!
Kavya: Don't worry nandini chachi is ur doctor na, she'll make u alright... She is the best doctor.
All of them smiled at her & harshad asked,
Harshad: Really!!!
Kavya: Yes..
Harshad: Ohk, so u love Nandini chachi so much..
Kavya nodded her head, Harshad smiled at her & moved his hand on her head. He lifted up his head & said,
Harshad: Thank u guys, thanks a lot 4 coming...
Just then navya said,
Navya: Kavya beta, take Sameer with u & go to Chachi's cabin, we hv to talk to uncle.
Soon both of them left & Harshad said,
Harshad: Thank u all... And I m really sorry for all that I hv done!! I m sorry...
He then turned towards nandini & then said,
Harshad: Nandini... U hv given me the thing which i was craving for from so long, thanks a lot... Thank u!!
Nandini: If that is so then plz change ur decision about the operation.
Harshad's smile faded away listening to this,
Aliya: Bhai plz, why r u doing so?? Why r u saying no for it!!
Harshad: Aliya... I-
Aliya: Bhai plzz... Plz for me!!!
Harshad looked at her place & then said,
Harshad: Ohk, I will go for the operation...
Aliya smiled broadly & hugged him. Nandini too was really happy & then said,
Nandini: Ohk, so I'll arrange for the operation tommorow mrng... Guys u all can stay for sometime but not long, its not allowed.
She then turned towards Manik & then said,
Nandini: Manik I need u... We need to handle the reporters outside.

Reporter 1: Sir how come Fab5 r here in the hospital today.
Manik & Nandini were standing outiside the hospital with the press. Manik smiled at the question & then said,
Manik: Relax Guys... Don't make chaos its a hospital!! And if u all hv forgotten its my wife's work place, so can't we come to surprise her or meet her.
Reporter: But Sir, ur wife has always kept her work away from the limelight, then how come today u all are here!!
Manik: I think surprises r allowed sometimes right??
Reporter: Sir there is a rumour that some member of Fab5 isn't well is this true??
Manik: Not at all ppl... Everyone is fit and fine & now I request u to plz clear this area & don't create disturbance.
Reporter: But sir!!
Manik: Plz guys no more questions!!
Manik held nandini's hand & both of them again got into the hospital & to her cabin. They sat with Kavya & Sameer, & soon the others came.
Aliya: Nandini, If u allow can I plz stay with Bhai for some time...
Nandini: Its ohk Aliya, u can stay 4 sure!!
Aliya: Thank u very much Nandini...
With this everyone left the hospital, including Nandini & they reached the Malhotra Mansion. Amms, Chachi & Rishab left back for London. The same evening all of them were sitting in the Malhotra Mansion just waiting for Aliya. Nandini moved towards the kitchen to get something when her phone beeped with a msg, she opened the msg & read it, but as she did so she felt NUMB. She didn't know how to react. She moved out of her room & started walking out slowly. All her frndz were smiling & laughing, she moved closer to them to say something but didn't knw how to tell them.
Nandini: Ma... Manik...
She said slowly but no one heard her. She walked further closer & called,
Nandini: Maniiik...
Manik heard her voice & turned to see her, she took two more steps ahead, but seeing her trembling steps Manik asked,
Manik: Nandini... What happened??
Nandini did reply anything & gave him her phone, Manik took the phone & read,
"Dear Nandini, Thank u very much for whatever u did for me. U really r the bestest doctor I could ever have had... Thank u for fulfilling my wish. But I m sorry, I can't handle this pain anymore, its eating me up. Plz request Dhruv to take care of Aliya forever... I QUIT!!!!" said Harshad's message.
All of them were shocked to see that msg. Just then Nandini realised something & said,
nandini: Manik... Aliya... Where is Aliya??
Dhruv heard that & called Aliya,
Aliya: Hello!!
Dhruv: Aliya where r u??
Aliya: Ohh I m just about to reach there in 5 mins, I left the hospital 15 mins before.
Dhruv: Ohk... Come soon!!
Dhruv disconnected the call & nandini took her phone from Manik & called someone. She kept the call on speaker, as the hospital girl picked up,
Nandini: Hello Diya!!
Diya: Yes doctor!!
Nandini: Go to room no. 11 & check on Mr. saxena..
Diya: Ohk Dr. I'll just go!!
Nandini: Diya keep the phone on & go right now!!
Diya walked towards his room & opened the door & then said hurriedly,
Diya: OMG Dr... Mr.Saxena has puked out blood again, the entire bed & floor is full of blood... And he is lying unconcious...
Nandini: Check his pulse!!
Nandini held Manik's hand tightly & Diya walked towards harshad & checked his pulse.
Diya: Doctor... He is no more!!
As she said this they heard a voice from behind, they turned around to see Aliya standing at the door with tears in her eyes.
Dhruv: Aliya!!
Dhruv rushed towards her & she started crying badly.
Aliya: Dhruv... Plz take me home!!
Dhruv looked at the others & Manik nodded at him. He turned towards Sameer, who was asleep on the couch to which cabir said,
Cabir: I m taking him with me tonight!!
And with this Dhruv left along with Aliya.

Part 37:
Six Months Later,
There was a hustle bustle in the entire Malhotra Mansion, the workers were running from one end to the other end of the mansion. The entire Mansion was beatifully decorated.
Nandini: Kaka, why is this kept here, this is to be kept there on that table.
Nandini instructed as she walked through making the arrangements.

Nandini kept on ordering the servants when Manik came from behind & wrapped his hand round her waist.

Just then Nandini remembered something & asked the servant in front of her.
Nandini: Go n check the food arrangements... The guests should love the food!!

Nandini looked around & saw that he was right. She smiled seeing it & Manik then whispered in her ears,
Manik: Now look at urself, R u ready?? Its 7:30 Nandini, the party's time is 8...
Nandini heard this & again paniced, she was still standing in her 3/4th pyjamas.
Nandini: Manik, why didn't u tell me earlier, I need to change...
Saying this Nandini ran up towards her room. Manik checked the last arrangements which were left. Its was around 8, when everything seemed good enough, so he moved up to get ready. As he entered he saw Nandini sitting in front of the mirror applying a bit make up. As he looked at her, he forgot everything else & kept on looking at her. Nandini was looking spectacular in her black saree, which had an amazing red coloured design all over. He hair curled up beautifully. Her milky white skin fully visible through her back less blouse. With only a pair of beautiful diamond earings & a thin bracelet, she looked as elegant as anyone could. She got ready & got up to wear her sandals when she noticed Manik standing there.
Nandini: Manik...When did u come??
Manik didn't reply anything & moved closer towards her & caressed her face. Nandini blushed at it & Manik took his other hand to her back & pulled her closer.
Manik: I think u don't want me to go to the party & thats why u r doing such things, by looking so beautiful..
Nandini: I never had such an intention but now if u wish we can do that as well.
Manik smiled at her comment & immediately kissed her hard. Both of them kissed each other passionately but soon nandini broke the kiss.
Manik: Sorry for ur lipstick... But I couldn't resist!!
Nandini smiled at him & just then she saw the tym,
Nandini: Ohh god manik its 8:15 & u hvn't even changed... Go fast!!
She pushed him inside the washroom & then waited for him. 10 mins later Manik came out & got fully ready.
Manik: Lets go Mrs. Malhotra... Everyone must be waiting for us...
Nandini got up & held his hand as both of them moved outside. They moved downstairs, hand in hand as everyone present there admired the couple. Manik stopped in between the stairs & said,
Manik: Hello ladies & gentlemen... Happy Diwali to all of u.. Thank u all for coming here & celebrating this auspicious festival with us!! May this festival of lights illuminate our lives with brightness all around... Enjoy the party guys...
Saying this both of them moved down & walked towards their friends.
Aliya: Nandini u r looking out of the world.
Nandini: Thanks aliya...
Mukti: Manik, the guys are gonna hv a tough time around her, save her from them today.
Manik placed his hands around Nandini's waist & said,
Manik: I won't even let anyone think about that...
Just then a guy suddenly came & patted on Nandini's shoulder. Nandini turned around & he said, "Is this beautiful lady the same girl with those chubby cheeks.
Nandini: OMG Gaurav... What a surprise??
But before she could realise, Gaurav came forward & hugged her tight. Nandini looked at Manik & as expected the rockstar was burning in anger seeing this new guy hugging his wife. Nandini broke the hug & he said,
Gaurav: 10 years... And such a change... I can't believe that this is the same Nandini whom I knew..
Nandini(smiling): Thank u... And its really nice to see u after so long.
Nandini turned towards Manik & said,
Nandini: By the way meet my husband, Manik Malhotra...
Manik took a step forward & wrapped his hand around her waist tight, & smiled. His grip clearly told Nandini abouthis anger & all their friends tried to control their smiles.
Gaurav: Ohh everyone knows u guys!! U r famous...
Nandini: Manik... Meet Gaurav, he is my childhood friend from Mangalore, but we couldn't meet after I came to Mumbai for college.
Gaurav: I just wish u would hv stayed in Mangalore itself, I would definately hv changed ur answer to my proposal.
And this was another thud for Manik, his anger grew even more as he heard this. He tightened his grip around Nandini's wiast, almost clutching her. Nandini understood that & changed the topic.
Nandini: By the way Gaurav, where is Sakshi???
Just then a voice came from the other side, "And finally u remember me...". Nandini turned towards the person & said,
Nandini: Sakshi!!
Nandini immediately got herself free from Manik's grip & went closer & hugged that girl tightly.
Nandini: I can't tell u, I'm so happy to see u...
Sakshi: Lier!! U don't even remember me..
Nandini: No, its not like that seriously...
Sakshi smiled at her & they both moved closer towards the rest.
Nandini: Manik, meet Sakshi by bested friend or u can even say sister... I hv spent my entire childhood with her. She is Gaurav's wife.
Manik simply smiled at her & nodded. And unlike the others this time Cabir couldn't control his laughter, & started laughing out loud. Nandini turned towards him & gave him an angry glare & so did the others. Cabir controlled his laughter,
Cabir: I m sorry, I just laughed thinking about the fact that u proposed Nandini first & then u married her best friend. Wow man!!
Gaurav joined his laughter & so did the others.
Nandini: But how come u both r here!!
Sakshi: Madam, U hv become a famous doctor & over that u married a celebrity how should ur friends reach u...??
Nandini: Ohh really!!
Gaurav: Arey just kidding... We are the guest from the Malhotra Industries... I hv joined the company as a simple employee!!
All of them smiled at him. But manik was still not liking this new guy around his wife. Cabir noticed it & said,
Cabir: Manik- Nandini we need to meet the guests!!
Nandini: Ohh yes sure!!
Nandini turned towards sakshi & said,
Nandini: U stick around & enjoy the party... I'll see u around.
With this all of them walked away towards the other guests. Manik's hand around Nandini's waist didn't leave its place even for a second. After meeting a few of them Nandini slowly whispered,
Nandini: Manik, now u can leave me!!
Manik: Why?? U hv any problem in me holding u...
Nandini: No, but-
Manik: What?? If u can hug that Gaurav so nicely, I think u should not hv any problem in this.
Nandini: Manik, he hugged me, I didn't.

Manik made a bad face & then they met a few more guests. Nandini motioned something to cabir & then pulled Manik into a room.
Manik: Nandini, what r u doing??
Nandini closed the door & moved closer to him,
Nandini: Actually, I needed to tell my husband to calm down a bit.
As Manik heard this he suddenly pinned Nandini to a wall, holding her waist tightly. Nandini smiled at it, Manik saw her smiling & immediately moved closer & dug his teeth on her neck. Nandini moarned loudly on his sudden move & clutched his shoulder tightly. Manik gave her a hard love bite & then looked at her face & whispered,
Manik: U r simply mine & only I hv the right to be that close to u...
Nandini smiled at him & gave him a small peck on the side of his lips. And then said,
Nandini: Now if u r done, can we go back to the party... The guests will be shocked to see the hosts missing.
Manik nodded at it & they moved out. As they went out, they saw all their friends giggling & smiling.
Cabir: So Nandini, u calmed ur Monster again.
All of them laughed at the comment, when Aliya noticed something on Nandini's neck. She immediately went closer & got Nandini's hair in front of her neck.
Aliya: Guys carefull... There is media around!!
Mukti: Manik, so much wildness really!!! Look at her man, at least hv some mersy.
All of them smiled at it & Manik looked at Nandini apologitically. But this time instead of turning all red due to embrassment, nandini stayed normal & said,
Nandini: Mukti... Chill!! I like these on myself...
Mukti smiled at it & just then Nandini remembered something,
Nandini: Ohh shit, its 10:30 pm... Mukti u still havn't had ur dinner... And plz u sit, don't stand much!!
Mukti: And here comes the doctor again.
Mukti followed Nandini's instructions & all the others smiled seeing them. Nandini had been overprotective towards Mukti in all these months & now as it was her 8th month going on, Nandini was even more worried for her. She had studied a lot about gynacology, so that if needed anytime, she could help Mukti. They enjoyed the rest of the party, after which everyone left. Manan moved to their room & changed. Nandini came out of the washroom wearing her nightdress & saw Manik sitting their in his boxers.
Nandini: Manik... I m not sleepy!!
Manik: Nor am I...
A few minutes later, both of them were sitting in the balcony. Manik resting his back on the wall & Nandini resting over him. Manik had got the balcony specially decorated for Nandini. It had a perfect look of the stars & the sides of the balcony was filled with a row of jars which were full of fireflies. He promised her that whenever both of them would sit there then those fireflies would glow for them & the stars shined. It always created an awesome aura & thus, they both liked to spend their time there. They talked for sometime & then their talk came upon Mukti.
Nandini: Manik... I m reallly worried for Mukti... She is truly ur sister, she never listens to anyone.
Manik: Nandini Relax!! she is fine & u'll see everything will go good.
Nandini: But Manik, she has to understand, its her 8th month & she still keeps on running & jumping around, she has to take care of herself.
Manik: She is carefree coz she knows that u r there to take care of her... Right??
Nandini smiled at it & he continued,
Manik: Don't worry... She'll be fine!!
Nandini entwined her fingers with his & said in a childlike voice,
Nandini: Manik!! Where is my Diwali gift???
Manik smiled at her sweet way & said,
Manik: Tell me whatever my baby wishes for??
Nandini: That means u didn't get my gift this time!!
Manik: I m sorry... I forgot! But now u tell me whatever u want & I promise I'll get that...
Nandini: No... U forgot my gift, now u'll get a punishment!!
Manik: Punishment???
Nandini: Yes...
Manik: And whats that?
Nandini: The punishment is that... That tmrw none of us is going for work!! I want to spend some time with u!! Just both of us, thats it..
Manik smiled at her & wrapped his hands tightly around her,
Manik: Oo such a difficult punishment... Nandini how will I be able to fulfill this!! Please nandini have some mercy over me...
Nandini heard him & then hit him slowly on his shoulder and then said in an irritated tone.
Nandini: Maaanik!
Manik: What?? I m serious yr...
Nandini got up from his lap with a sad face & moved back into the room. She lied down on the bed & closed her eyes. Manik smiled seeing her child like tantrums & he too moved inside, totally enjoying the look on her face. He sat next to her & then said,
Manik: Nandini... Understand na!! I hv a few important meetings tommorow, I can't miss them!!
Nandini didn't say anything & simply turned to the other side. Manik smiled at her & he too lied down on the bed. 15 minutes later, nandini again turned towards him & started hitting him.
Manik: Nandini... Why r u hitting me?? Nandini... Stop!!
Nandini: Manik u r so bad... I hate u!!
Manik: But what did I do??
Nandini: What do u mean? I just asked u to skip office for one day & u r not ready for even that!!
Manik: Nandini... Why r u talking such meaningless things... We can spend time some other day as well right??
Nandini: Its not about the day Manik... Its about us!!
Manik: I think we shouldn't discuss much about this now!! Its better that we just go to sleep...
Nandini just turned to the other side again & tried to sleep. Manik also closed his eyes, he had already msged his manager that he wont be going to the office the next day and was simply playing around with Nandini. He thought it would end soon as nandini always acted sensible enough & such wishes were always called off eventually. But this time it was different, he thought to talk to her in the morning & surprise her by not going to work but sleeping, knowing that she was sad was out of the question. Thus, he simply turned towards her & hugged her tight saying,
Manik: Ohk I m sorry... I was just pulling ur leg, I hv already cancelled all my meetings for tommorow!!
Nandini turned towards him & asked happily,
Nandini: Really??
Manik: How can I not do so when u want me to do it!!
Nandini: Thank u Manik... I love u!!
Nandini hugged him back & rested her head on his chest. Manik felt it weird but then he just thought the other way & they slept.
Later that night Manik felt thirsty & thus, got up from his sleep.
He smiled seeing Nandini clutching him tightly & sleeping. He was looking at her face & smiling when he suddenly realised at her face was very hot. He moved his hand on her face & realised at she was having high fever. He slowly patted on her cheek worriedly, trying to wake her up,
Manik: Nandini... Nandini!!
But she didn't reply anything & was unconcious. Manik paniced at it & got up from the bed. He covered her with the duvet & then picked up his phone to call the doctor. He dialed Dr. Agarwal's number without even seeing that it was 4:30 am.

PART 38:
Manik: Dr... I don't know what happened... She was totally well, a few hours back!!
It was 6 am & Dr. Agarwal was in the Malhotra Mansion to check Nandini.
Dr. Agarwal: Manik was there something bcoz of which she was stressed or sad.. Or anything like that in the past few days??
Manik: No doctor... There wasn't anything of that sort, u were there in the party last night na, u saw she was totally fine!!
Dr. Agarwal: Manik, Nandini is totally fine... Its just this fever & its too high... But there has to be some reason for this sudden thing right!! To what I think, it definately is related to something personal... Just be with her, make her happy, let her do whatever she wants, maybe she shares it with u!!
Manik: Ohk doctor!!
Dr. Agarwal: Ohk so I hv given her a high dose of sleeping pill so that she gets proper sleep... So she won't be up till noon... Take care of her!!
Manik: Thank u doctor!!
Three hours later at about 10am, all their friends were sitting in the Malhotra Mansion, waiting for Manik in the living room. Manik was sitting with nandini when the servant told him about everyone being there & he went down.
Manik: Hi guys!!
Cabir: hey!! How is she??
Manik: Ohh she is much better now!! Still a bit fever is there... But its still less than the morning!
Aliya: But what did the doctor uncle say??
Manik: He said that maybe it is bcoz of them personal stress or any that sort of problem.
Abhi: Personal problem??
Manik: Yeah!!
Aliya: But she was absolutely fine last night in the party..
Manik: I know thats what I hv been thinking! Girls did she talk to any one of u about any stress or tension??
All of them denied at it & they sat,
Manik: I don't know man... Nandini has been just fine last night!! In fact, i thought she was rather happy... She even asked me to skip office today & spend time with her.
Abhi: Wait thats something which is something Nandini never does!!
Manik: Ya I too felt a bit wierd when she got angry as I said I had to go!! But I didn't think much about it...
Mukti: U mean she was kind of wanting u to be with her...
Manik: Yes I guess so... I hv never seen her being to stern to such pitty issues but last night she did... She was arguing over a senseless thing!!
Cabir: That is very unlike Nandini... Maybbe doctor uncle is right!!
Manik: I don't know yaar... I m just tensed about her...
Just then the servant came running,
Servant: Sir Ma'am is getting up!!
Manik heard him & ran upstairs, followed by the others. They entered the room to see Nandini lying there still with her eyes closed, manik sat by her side & kept his hand on her forehead,
Nandini: Manik!!
Manik: Yes yes I m here... Baby i m here!!
Nandini slowly opened up her eyes & manik made her sit up. He slowly made her drink water & then asked,
Manik: How r u felling now??
Nandini: Better...
Nandini noticed the others & said,
Nandini: Good morning guys... Sorry u all had to come here bcoz of me!!
Mukti: Shut up Nandini... we r ur family na!!
Nandini smiled at her & then turned to Manik,
Nandini: Manik what did Dr. uncle say... Why was this sudden fever??
Manik heard her & then looked at others, he fumbled a bit but then said,
Manik: Its all bcoz of u!! I told u not to do so much work... But why will u listen to me, U toh hv sweared not to listen to me. Right?
Nandini looked at him angrily & then turned her face to the other side. Manik could see her sad, the others too noticed it & Mukti hit Manik,
Mukti: Shut up Manik... Don't u dare say a word to her!
Mukti sat next to Nandini & hugged her. Soon they all had their lunch together after which Nandini said,
Nandini: Ohk so now I think u all should get back to ur work... I also hv to go to the hospital!
Manik: What?? Hospital... Hv u lost it?? U r not going anywhere...
Nandini: Manik... I m f9, I hv to go! Plz let me go...
Manik: I know u r f9... And thats why u r not going!! Don't u remember u made me cancel all my meeting today, so now u hv to stay at home with me!! Got it...
Nandini: Ohk!
Soon all their friends went back & manik came to Nandini.
Manik: So someone is still angry!!
Nandini: Yes...
Manik: Then can u plz tell me how will this anger go away??
Nandini: I don't know... U think!
Manik: Well if u ask me then at present I m no mood to do anything, all I wish is to take a cold water bath...
Nandini: Ohk so go n do whatever u want...

Manik: Yes... Arey I m ur husband yr!! Not a stranger that u r so shocked...

Manik moved to her side to pick her up but nandini got up from the bed & started running.
Nandini: Manik... Manik stop it!! Don't be insane... Manik just leave me & go!!
They continued for sometime & then manik finally agreed & went to bath. 15 minutes later, he came out & saw Nandini was not there in the room. He wore his cloths & then walked down to look for her, he searched the entire house but didn't see her anywhere. Just then a servant asked,
Servant: Sir.. U want anything??
Manik: Where is nandini?
servant: Sir, Madam is in the garden...
Manik went out in the garden & saw her watering the plants. He walked closer to her & was about to say something, when he noticed a sweet smile on her face. Manik silently stood there saw her smiling. It was as if he was seeing a different innocense in her, she looked just like a small sweet girl, who was unaware of the harsh world. All she knew was to live happily. He stood there for a few minutes & then moved forward to hug her from the back. Nandini rested her head on his chest & said,
Nandini: So finally u r enough of staring at me...
Manik: U knew I was standing here!!
Nandini: My heart clearly knows it when u r near me...
Manik: Then why didn't u say anything??
Nandini: Bcoz i was enjoying with these plants... Manik u know amma used to love watering plants. She used to spend hours & hours with these plants...
Manik: Ohh so someone is missing her parents..
Nandini looked at him & kept the water jar on a side. They sat on the bench there & Nandini rested her head on his shoulder. He knew she would definately open up to him & thus he wanted to give her time. After a few minutes nandini finally said,
Nandini: I m sorry Manik... I know u can't see me suffering like that but I just couldn't help it. Last night, I don't know why but I was really missing appa & amma. We were sitting under the stars, and all I had in my mind was how Appa used to show me the stars. And then that dream, I just-
Nandini stopped saying anything further, Manik turned towards her & calmly said,
Manik: Dream?? What dream...
Nandini didn't say anything at this & simply held his arm tighter.
Manik: Nandini... Share with me!! U know u can, sometimes all we need is to get it all out... And u only hv taught this to me, right??
Nandini didn't say anything at first & then she simply hugged manik & said,
Nandini: Manik... plz don't leave me ever!! Plz be there with me always... I won't be able to live without you..
Manik: Hey... I m there with u always! Don't think all this rubish...
Manik knew Nandini needed to be cheered up so he said in a happy tone.
Manik: Nandini... lets go & watch a movie outside & then we could go to the beach & then dinner!! Yes, lets spend the entire day in a different way today!! What say??
Nandini: Manik its ok.. we don't hv to do this..
Manik: Arey we hv to!! I m telling u na... we'll enjoy lets go!!
Manik made her agree & both of them went out to watch a movie. They were blocked by a few photographers in between but it didn't matter to them. Manik did pose of a few pictures along with Nandini & then they made their way inside the movie hall. The movie was nice & manik could see Nandini a bit normal. The rest of the day too went good enough but Manik still felt something wrong in Nandini. They had dinner in a 5 star & then went back home & slept. The next morning Manik got up before Nandini & called someone.
Manik: hello!!
Amms: Hello Manik beta!! Kaise ho??
Manik: I m gud amms!! How r u??
Amms: I m fine son... How is Nandini...
Manik: Amms... Actually I called u for a reason!! I had to ask something to u about Nandini...
Amms: Kya hua Manik... why r u sounding so serious?? Is Nandu fine!!
Manik: Yes Yes Amms, nandini is all good.. Its something else!
Manik told her all that happened & then said,
Manik: Amms I just wanna know what is this dream that she is talking about. I just have a feeling that this has something to do with her childhood.
Amms: U r right Manik... This is not the first time this has happened.

Amms: Actually manik, After that accident, nandini was in shock!! She got that same dream again & again every night... Of her parents dying in front of her & she wasn't able do to anything. That dream distrubed her a lot.
Manik: But Amms... How come this dream again, after so many years.
Amms: Manik I don't know all this but all I know is that u hv to get her out of this...
Manik: But how Amms?
Amms: Manik all she needs is ur love & care... Thats it!!
Manik: Amms I did all that & she is better but there is still something missing..

Amms: Yes earlier also she found her peace in music & I hv a believe that this time also music will help her. Manik bring Music close to her, make her practise & then u'll see ur older nandini back.

Soon Nandini got up & both of them got ready. Manik dropped nandini to the hospital & reached the Fab5 office. As he entered Satish, the manager came running to him.
Satish: Good morning Sir!!
Manik: Morning... Satish in my cabin now!!
Manik got into his cabin & 2 minutes later Satish came & knocked.
Manik: Come in!! Satish are they here??
Satish: yes sir... Cabir sir, Dhruv sir & Aliya Mam... They hv a meeting with the marketing team today..
Manik: Ohk tell them to plz come in the cabin...
Satish: Sure Sir!!
15 mins later, the three of them entered.
Cabir: Manik... U here!! Anything important??
Manik: Yes guys really important!! Come na plz sit...
All of them got settled & then Manik said,
Manik: Guys we hv to help Nandini...
He told them about his talk to Amms & then said,
Manik: Only Music can help her...
Dhruv: But manik, Nandini clearly said that she is not interested to get into this field for now!! And after that Paris concert we cant even force her..
Manik: But guys we hv to do something!!
Aliya: I hv an idea!!
Cabir: What??
Aliya: Guys last night Abhi's mother called me... She wants us to arrange a baby shower ceremony for Mukti!!
Cabir: Aliya how is Mukti's baby shower related to this..
Aliya: Cabir just think... If we organise a baby shower its obvious that we will hv dance & music in it! All we need is to make Nandini prepare for it..
Dhruv: Yes thats a briliant idea... Its a personal event so Nandini will agree for it easily!
Cabir: Plus if Mukti asks her once, then nandini can't even say a no to it..

Aliya: Ohk so I'll talk to Abhi's mom & finalise the date & then we'll ask Mukti to talk to Nandini...

The very next day, Manan were having breakfast when all their friends came in.

All of them sat down while Nandini & manik finished their breakfast. After that they all sat together & then Manik asked,

Abhi: Actually manik... My mother wants a baby shower ceremony for Mukti... So we were thinking what about this saturday??
Nandini: Great Idea!! I m already so excited...
Aliya: Same here!!
Nandini: Mukti u don't worry!! I promise we'll make this day the best day of ur life.

Cabir: Guys lets make it awesome... Music, Dance n all!!
Manik: Chalo lets go & there are a lot of preparations to do.

They all decided the work & then Mukti said,

Soon they all went away & Manan also went to work. Nandini practised for those two days but still Manik couldn't find that sync in her voice. The magic that she always created by her singing was not there. He could still see that she was not at peace. She was only doing this becoz she couldn't say no to Mukti.
That day Manik returned from the office early & thought to check on Nandini as the baby shower ceremony was going to be held the next day itself. He asked the servant about her where abouts & he was told that Nandini was practising at the terrace. He was happy to know that she was practising but his happiness faded away when he reached up at the terrace & saw her playing. Though he said them simply but those plain words told her that he actually meant it. Those simple words touched her heart & she leaned her back over him properly.

Manik: Lets jam... The way we used to do in college!! Without any reason, just for fun...
Nandini heard his innocent request & there was no way she could say a no to him.
Nandini: Lets do it!! But on one condition...

Nandini: We will first go downstairs & u will freshen up & then eat something... U must be tired after work!

Manik made a bad face & kept his guitar aside.

Both of them moved down & checked on the preparations like security etc. Half an hour later, Satish left.
Nandini: Manik u just wait for 5 minutes, I'll be back from the washroom.
Manik: Cool!!
Nandini moved in & manik sat there looking for something in his phone. 2 minutes later a small girl ran inside the house with a teddy bear in her hand & shouted, "Mumma!!"
Manik looked at the sweet girl & got up. Just then his guards came running behind the girl.
Guard 1: hey you girl... Go from here!!
Manik(shouting): Shut up!!
Manik walked closer to them & looked at the little girl, then he said to the guards,
Manik: What kind of a security do I have at my mansion that u idiots can't even stop a little girl from entering into the house... How will u stop others!! And don't u know how to talk to a child?
He knelt down in front of the girl & said,
Manik: Hello baby!! Who r u?? And what r u doing here??
Baby: My mumma is here!!
She moved to a side & shouted again,"Mumma!! Mumma..."
Manik: Baby... Ur mumma can't be here!!
Baby: But daddy said that she is here...
Manik: Where is ur daddy??
Baby: He went to park the car & asked me to wait outside. But I wanted to meet mumma so I came in!
Manik: Aww.. Dont worry I think u hv come at the wrong address!
He got up & said to the guards,
Manik: Go & see if there is her father outside.
The guards moved out & manik held the girl's hand & made her sit on the sofa. Just then Nandini came out, but she didn't notice the girl & said to Manik,
Nandini: Sorry I took time Manik... Lets go now!!
But as the girl saw her she suddenly got up & hugged nandini by her legs saying. "Mumma!!"
Nandini looked at the girl & sat on her knees,
Nandini: Nyra...
Nandini hugged that girl tightly leaving a shocked manik in front. Manik stood up from his place with a shocked look. Nandini broke the hug & smiled at the girl.
Nandini: How is my baby??
Nyra: I m good... But I missed u a lot!
Nandini: Aww I missed u too!! But how did u come here?
Nyra: I came with Daddy!
Nandini hugged her again & manik could clearly see the happiness on her face as she closed her eyes.
Just then a harsh voice came from the door, "Its good to see that atleast u remember ur daughter!!"
Nandini heard him & Manik turned to see a Australian guy standing there. Nandini walked towards him & stood in front of him.
Nandini: And can I ask the reason why r u being so harsh on me... Can't u be a bit sweet, after all we r meeting after one year.
Guy: Ya and in that one year u got married & left Australia forever... Leaving my daughter alone! Like really Nandini I come back after a year & wish to meet u ASAP... And then I suddenly got to know "Ohh the girl living in this flat got married & thus left for India".
Nandini: Come on yr!! Why r u being so mean?? Can't I even get married to whomever I wish!!

Till now Manik was simply standing there & listening to everything trying to guess who was this new guy was & why was the girl refering Nandini as her mother.

Both of them quitely excused themselves & went inside. As they moved in Nandini said,
Nandini: Manik I m so sorry! I didn't know they would come like this suddenly... I was just-
Manik kept his finger on her lips & said to her,
Manik: Did I ask anything to u??? No na!! Then why do u think that u need to explain. Nandini I m ur husband, not ur owner... U r an individual & u can live in whatever way u want!!
Nandini smiled at him & hugged him. Manik smiled & hugged her back. Soon Nandini broke the hug & said,
Nandini: Manik u know there in Australia, I had only one person who didn't make me live India & that was my friend & neighbour... ADITI..
Manik: Aditi??
Nandini: Yes Aditi... Daniel's wife & Nyra's mother... But unfortunately she died one month after Nyra's birth due to some illness. From then I was the one who took care of her & that little girl thinks that I m her mother. Plz don't break her believe.

Nandini hugged him again & both of them again moved out. They all sat together for sometime after which they had dinner & then they moved to their rooms. Nandini went to Daniel's room to check whether he need something or not & then said,
Nandini: Daniel there is a function at our friends place tommorow, so I would like to invite u both to come along with us...
Daniel: Ohh Indian function??
Nandini: Yeah... I m sure that u r gonna enjoy a lot!! Plus I'll send traditional Indian outfits for u tommorow morning.

Just then Nyra came to Nandini & said,

Nandini moved back to her room to see Manik sitting on the bed & working on his laptop. She got changed & then came & sat beside him.

Manik kept his laptop to a side & lied down on the bed. Nandini too lied down next to him, resting her head on his chest.

Nanidni: Sorry becoz today u wanted us to jam together for some time, but I couldn't!! Woh Daniel & Nyra came suddenly & after that I forgot.

Manik heard her simple reply & smiled happily & the very next moment he took her lips into his & kissed her slowly yet passionately. Soon Nandini broke the kiss & they slept hugging each other.

The next morning Manan got up to get ready for the baby shower ceremony. Nandini got ready fast. She wore a Off white & light golden coloured lehenga with royal blue coloured border & blouse. The colours suited her body colour completely & made her look stunning. She then went downstairs to check the preparations for the breakfast. Just then Daniel came from the back & said,
Daniel: Someone is looking really fabulous...
Nandini turned towards him & said,
Nandini: Thank u Daniel!! By the way Good Morning... I hope u had a nice sleep.
Daniel: Yeah!!
Nyra: Mumma!!!
Nyra came running towards Nandini & she picked the little girl in her arms.

Soon he too got ready & then reached Mukti's place to see that all their friends were already there. All of them greeted each other & then Mukti noticed Daniel & Nyra. Nandini turned towards them & said,

After that she picked Nyra up in her arms & said,
Nandini: And this is my daughter, Nyra!!
All of them heard her & Aliya said,

Saying so she blinked her eyes in front of them, making them all quite. All of them smiled at it & Mukti said,

Soon the ceremony started & as always it was full of fun. They did a small pooja, gave gifts to Mukti & wsihed for the well being of the baby. And then started the real party. They played games, danced & sang songs. Sometime later Mukti said,

Nandini smiled at it & got up. She got in the center & toke up the mike & so did Manik. Cabir got a guitar for Manik & Veena for Nandini. Nandini sat on her place & said,
Nandini: Sorry Mukti but we couldn't prepare anything for today as we didn't hv much time. But as u had asked, we will perform something new for u!! Since we havn't decided any tune or lyrics... It all has to random & there is no garantee how it will be so plz forgive us if its not that good!!

Manik & Nandini smiled at her & then looked at each other. Nandini slowly whispered,

Nandini smiled at him & Manik started on his guitar. He played a brilliant tune & it hardly took a minute for Nandini to sync her tune matching to his on her veena. Manik smiled at her & blinked his eyes & then started singing.

Manik & Nandini got down the stage & all the people praised them & then they moved towards Mukti.

Nandini remember u asked me not to call all of us as Fab8 & instead call it Fab5, making u the silent members of this group. But though u r the silent member, still u r the core of us!! Nyra: Uncle I m finding Mumma!! But she is not here... Where is she??
Manik looked here & there but couldn't see her so he said,

With this manik took up a seat on the corner & then started feeding her sandwitches. After the ceremony manan reached home very tired so they decided to hv a small nap. It was around 8 when Nandini got up & decided to cook dinner for everyone. Sometime later Manik got up & reached downstairs searching for her, after asking a servant he reached the kitchen.
Manik: Nandini what r u doing here!!
Nandini: Ohh Manik when did u wake up??
Manik: Just now but u don't change the topic!
Nandini: Come on Manik sometimes its ohk na if I cook... U havn't even let me stand in the kitchen from the past six months... Plz lemme do it today!!

Manik: How could I even dare to do anything with u!! Ur single punch & I had started bleeding, just imagine what could hv happened if u got to know that I did something with u... I think I would hv died.
Just then a voice came from the behind, "Who would hv died??"
Both of them turned around to see daniel standing there.
Nandini: Nothing... By the way where were u?? The servant told me that u had gone out.
Daniel: yeah... Just went for a small walk.
Nandini: Cool!! Now u both sit I'll get something for u guys to eat.
Manik: Ohk... But be carefull.
Nandini: Manik... Don't worry just go!!
Manik & Daniel sat outside in the living room with Nyra. Manik & Nyra were slowly forming a very nice bond between them, soon Nandini got some snacks for them & joined them. Daniel asked manan how they met & ended up in marriage & Manik was more than glad to share it all with him. Then after sometime Manik said,
Manik: Why don't we made some plan for a picnic or something in a day or two. I m sure u both r gonna enjoy a lot.
Daniel: Sure!! I would love to.
Nandini: No I don't think its that a nice idea. Manik, Mukti needs rest at present. Going to a picnic can be risky for her.
Manik: I think u r right. Ohk then lets plan for a movie or something.
Nandini: Yeah that would be great.
Daniel: Ohk!!
The next day they decided to go out for a movie in the afternoon. All of them went out together & were enjoying the movie very much but then Nandini got a call from the hospital about some emergency so she had to leave in between. Manik offered to drop her but she thought that Daniel would get bored amongst the others so she left alone. There was some patient who was very critical. Nandini reached the hospital at around 2 pm & they started the operation. It was around 6 pm & still they were way too much left. Nandini was out of the operation room to get some reports in between when she picked up her phone & msged to Manik.
"Sorry Manik... I think I m gonna be very late tonight! Plz don't wait for me & yes I knw u would hv not even had ur lunch so plz do eat something! See u soon!! Love u..."
She again returned back to work. Another two hours later they were finally able to save the patient. Nandini returned back to her cabin but still she couldn't hv gone home as still the patient was not totally well & to ensure his health she needed to prepare a few reports & do some tests. She continued working for it, when Dr. Agarwal entered her cabin,
Dr. Agarwal: Dr. Nandini!!
Nandini: Yes Doctor??
Dr. Agarwal: Its 9:30. And it had been a really long day for u!! I think u should go home & take some rest now1
Nandini: No doctor... I can't go till I m done with these reports. I don't want to find something really important later & think that its too late to rectify it.
Dr. Agarwal: Nandini... There r doctors in the night shift to take care of that patient.
Nandini: No I can't go home like this... Doctor u don't worry I'll leave after this, U go!!
Dr. Agarwal: Ohk as u wish...
Nandini: Thank u Doctor!!
WIth this Dr. Agarwal left, Nandini finished her work & then reached home at around 10:30pm, to find all her friends waiting for her. She walked towards them & straightly said,
Nandini: Sorry guys... I m really sorry!!
She looked at Manik but he gave her a blank look & got up to walk back towards his room. This was not the first time that Nandini was coming home late, but never before had Manik done something like this. Nandini looked at the others with a confused expression & Navya said,
Navya: Go now talk to ur monster... He is really angry from u!!
Nandini: But Manik never gets angry on me coming late... Then why today??
Mukti: Coz he said that this was the first tym when u didn't inform him even once.
Aliya: Till now he was very tensed but now that u r here I guess he is angry.
Nandini: But I did msg him in the evening.
Cabir: No... I don't think u did!! U hv had a long day, I think u might would hv forgotten.
Nandini: But i remember-
Dhruv: Chill Nandini... He'll be fine u go & talk to him once.
Nandini: I think u r right.
Abhi: U go... we all will take a leave now!!
Nandini: Ohk... By the way did u all hv dinner or not.
Cabir: Ohh yes we did... But yes for ur information ur Monster had not had anything since u left.
Nandini: Ohh god!!
Aliya: Chalo Now Bye!!!
Cabir: Bye Daniel...
Daniel: Bye guys!!
With this all of them left & then nandini walked up towards her room. Daniel watched her walk upstairs & smiled.
FLASHBACK:
In the evening after the movie all of them had just returned home & were sitting in the living room. Nyra took Manik's mobile from him to play some game. She was enjoying her game sitting next to Daniel, when the phone beeped with a msg. Daniel took the phone & read Nandini's msg. Manik was not around there so he simply smiled at it & deleted the msg, giving the phone back to Nyra.
Daniel: And with this we start the count down to ur relationship with nandini!!!
Flashback Ends...
Nandini entered the room to see Manik standing in the balcony, she walked closer & hugged him from the back.
Nandini: Manik I m really sorry!! I did msg but I don't know why u didn't get it... I m sorry!! I-
Manik: Nandini leave it... U don't need to explain!! Vese bhi who am I to decide what u do & what not..
Nandini: No Manik I need to explain...
Manik: Leave it... Let it go!!
Manik broke the hug & moved back into the room & lied down on the bed. Nandini looked at him & then thought to freshen up first & then talk to him. She got into the washroom & then returned back into the room 10 minutes later wearing her night dress. She sat by his side & said,
Nandini: Manik... Talk to me na!! I m sorry, I was really busy today! I promise I'll never repeat it for sure. I-
But this time she was stopped due to a knock on the door. Nandini got up from the bed & opened to see Nyra standing there with her teddy bear.
Nandini: Nyra... What happened baby? Why r u still awake?
Nyra: Mumma I m feeling scared in my room... Plz na come with me!
Nandini: Scared?? Why??
Nyra: I don't know there is something there... Come na!!
Nandini looked at Manik who was still facing the other side & said to him,
Nandini: Sorry Manik... I'll be back soon & then we'll have dinner together...!!
Saying so she got out of the room & went to Nyra's room. She sat there & made the little girl sleep, while Daniel stood at the door thinking,
Daniel: Sorry nandini... I know u want to be there with him, but me & my daughter need u in our lives much more than him.
After some time Nandini walked back to her room only to find Manik already asleep. She made a sad face looking at his tired face & then she too decided to sleep. She curdlled up closer to him & slept.
The next morning Manik's sleep was distyrbed by his phone which was vibrating next to him.
He picked up the call from his office & was informed about a few meeting for which he had to go to the office early. He got the details & then disconnected the call & turned to look at Nandini, who was sleeping peacefully hugging him tight. He smiled at her & kissed her forehead. He knew she would be tired so he slowly got up without disturbing her & got ready for work. He got ready & was willing to talk to her before leaving but she wasn't up by then & he too was getting late so she simply left.
Some time later Nandini woke up & got to know that he left early, she was sad & tried to call him, but then no one answered & she thought that he would be busy. So she too left for work.
The day at work was busy for both of them, both were missing each other but whenever one called the other was busy & vice versa. That afternoon, Manik had a lunch meeting with a client, but as he wasn't able to contact Nandini, he wasn't in a mood to eat anything. Both of them hadn't had anything from the past day & were starving but still they didn't eat anything. He decided to cancel his meeting & go n meet her but he was too late as the clients had already arrived. He gave his phone to his secretary & sat for lunch due to his bisuness ethics he couldn't turn them down. He was having his lunch when Nandini called on his phone from the hospital number.
His secretary picked up the phone sseeing an unknown number & he said,"hello!!"
Nandini heard the unfamiliar voice & said,
Nandini: Hello!!! Whose this?? Where is Manik?
Secretary: Mr. Malhotra is busy having his lunch!! I m his secretary... May I know who is calling??
Nandini felt wierd listening that Manik was having lunch... In a way she was happy that he was eating something but then she suddenly thought that he didn't even talk to her once. She thought that he was still very angry at her & that made her even more sad.
Secretary: Excuse me... May I know who r u??
Nandini: Mrs. Nandini Malhotra!!
Secretary: Ohh sorry ma'am I couldn't recognise u!! Should I go & give the phone to sir??
Nandini: No!! Let him eat his lunch!! Whenever he is free with it, tell him that I called & yes give him a message that I m going down to Lonavala for an important operation & thus my phone may be out of reach. Also tell him that I may get home very late tonight.
Secretary: Ohk Ma'am!! I will...
Nandini: Thank u!!
Nandini disconnected the call & got back to work, while on the other side manik's secretary picked out & called someone. He told him about Nandini's call & then said,
Secretary: Sir as u said, I have arranged Manik sir's back to back meetings. And since Nandini madam is going out, I m sure that they wouldn't be able to contact each other for the entire day now.
Daniel: Good job!! U'll get ur payment soon...

The day passed on, Manik got Nandini's message but he was much more sad this time. Nandini finished her work & then left Lonavala at around 9 pm. But due to the long distance it was past midnight that she reached home, fullly exhuasted. She entered the house & walked in, with her eyes partially closed. She climbed up th efirst stair only when her lag twisted & she lost her balance. She reached out her hand to hold the railings when suddenly there was strong grip supporting her body.
Nandini: Manik...
Manik: nandini... What happened?? My god see what hv u done to urself.
Nandini: Manik!!
Manik took her to the sofa & made her sit, while she kept on repeating his name. He made her drink some water & then asked,
Manik: Nandini... Whats this?? What happened to u??
Nandini: manik I m sorry!! Plz don't get so mad at me!! I forgot to inform u yesterday... I m very sorry..
Manik: Calm down nandini!! Who said I m mad at u... I understand ur work! Its ohk...
Nandini: I LOVE U MANIK!!
Manik: Ohh god... Don't tell me that u kept on thinking all this rubbish & didn't eat anything all day!!
Nandini simply kept quite & looked at him, she too didn't realise that she was feeling weak just becoz she had not had anything from the last day.
Manik: Have u lost it?? How can u do this to urself Nandini...
He turned to a side & called out,
Manik: Kaka!! Please get the dinner!
And 5 minutes later they were sitting on the table feeding each other.
Manik: So how come u had to go to Lunavala today??
Nandini: Ohh yes Manik... There was some minor landslide or something there due to heavy rains... Many people were very critical & thus, we had to be there.
Manik: Landslide?? Nandini how did u go, the roads must be jamed na??
Nandini: Manik!! Calm down... I m sorry I didn't inform u but I had ur managers arrange a chopper for me!! I called to inform u but i think u were busy in a lunch!
Manik: What do u mean by sorry!! U don't hv to inform me for anything.
Nandini: Ohk!!
They fed each other the dinner after which Nandini got up to keep the plates back. But as she stood up Manik picked her up in his arms.
Nandini: Manik!! What r u doing??
Manik: Nothing!! U r still weak & moreover u need to make up for being so away from me for two days.
Nandini: Manik u r never gonna change!!
Both of them laughed at it & moved up to there room, while one pair of eyes was turning red due to anger.
Daniel was standing on a side looking at them through his room.
Daniel: What the hell is this???? How can they be so calm?? No I can't let this happen? Nandini is mine, I can't let her with him. I hv to do something!!
He got onto his bed, fully frustated.
On the other hand, Manik & Nandini spent the next two hours simply lying on the bed & talking after which Manik forced Nandini to sleep as he thought that she needed rest.
As she fell asleep he thought to himself,
"No matter how far we are physically from each other. There is nothing that can get us apart. These small conflicts can only make us get closer to each other coz I will never let u go away from me Nandini!! Never!! I love u..."

PART 42:
The next day, Nandini's sleep was disturbed by continuous loud knocks at the door. She tried to get up from the bed but couldn't move due to Manik's grip around her. She smiled at it & moved her fingers in his hair.
Nandini: Mani... Mani...
Manik smiled lightly listening to it & murmmered,
Manik: Whenever u call me like this... Its always so pleasant that I feel that angels up from the heaven have come down to wake me up. It sounds much more pleasant than when u call me Manik...
Nandini smiled broadly & said,
Nandini: There is some1 at the door, plz leave me!!
Just then the door was again knocked, Manik opened his eyes & left Nandini. As Nandini got up from the bed to see the door, Manik too sat up. Nandini opened the door to find all their friends standing there.
Aliya: OMG!! U guys are still sleeping... Its 11am!!
Nandini: Ohh ya!! We got late... Good mrng guys.
All of them wished her back & moved into the room to find Manik sitting on the bed bare chest.
Cabir: So our love birds are on a leave from work today??
Manik: Yeah kinda... Actually nandini was feeling a bit weak so we decided to skip work for a day.
And this was it for everyone to freak out.
Cabir: Weak... Why??
Mukti: Nandini what happened??
Navya: How r u feeling at present?
Abhi: Why r u standing there come sit here... I think we should call a doctor!!
Nandini: RELAX Guys!! Relax, I m f9!! I was tired last night due to work & thats it... Chill.
All of them sighed a relief & took their seats. Nandini picked up Manik's shirt & giving it to him she said,
Nandini: U guys sit, I'll just freshen up & be back..
Mukti: Ohk!!
Nandini got into the washroom & all the others talked for a while. About 10 mins later, they heard a knock on the door, Navya got up & opened the door. The moment she did so, Nyra entered the room, rubbing her eyes out of sleep. She looked at everyone in the room & walked to Manik.
Nyra: Manik Uncle... Mumma??
Manik smiled at her & picked her up making her sit on his lap,
Manik: Good mrng Nyra!! Mumma is in the washroom...
Nyra looked down while Manik looked back at the door, where the servant who brought Nyra was standing.
Manik: Daniel???
Servant: Sir, he had gone out somewhere about 2 hours back & hasn't returned yet. I had sent the car & the driver with him.
Manik: Ohk good... U go now!!
The servant went away & Navya sat back at her place.
Cabir: Hello Nyra... Good mrng!!
Nyra: Good Morning Uncle...
Manik: So did u get a nice sleep??
Nyra: No!!
Manik: Why?? What happened??
Nyra: I got a very scary dream.
Manik: Aww... A nightmare!! What did u see in it??
Nyra turned to a side & looked at everyone. She turned back to face manik & nodded her head in a no.
Manik: What happened baby??
Nyra: I want to meet mumma first!!
Manik: Mumma is right in there!! She'll be out in a few minutes... Till then u can tell ur dream to us!!
Nyra cutely looked at him & then started,
Nyra: I was sitting in a park along with Mumma, but then mumma went to get icecream for me & thus, I sat on the bench alone. Then there came a very big dog.
Nyra told sweetly streching her arms to the fullest. All of them smiled at her while Manik asked seriously,
Manik: Then what happened??
Nyra: That dog started barking very loudly at me. I tried to get up & go away but it was very big & it blocked my way. I started crying there due to fear & then it was about to eat me when I got up.
Manik heard her dream & saw her getting scared. He caressed the little girls face & then said,
Manik: Aww so u r scared of dogs??
Nyra: Hmn!!
Manik: Then we will make sure that u r never alone in a park... Ohk??
Nyra: Yes!!
Manik continued talking to Nyra, while all the others smiled at him. Just then Mukti whispered,
Mukti: With kids around, I sometimes feel that Manik changes into somebody whom I hv never knwon.
Cabir: Yeah!! Look how much he is enjoying those sweet childlike talks.
Navya: Earlier, I thought thst this side of Manik is only for Kavya & Sameer becoz they r d only kids he meets regularly but now, I think Manik is like this with all kids. He himself becomes a kid with them.
Mukti: Just like we see different sides of Nandini on different situations, I think she has turned Manik into the same.
Abhi: What do u mean by different sides of Nandini??
Mukti: Havn't u noticed, the way she is normally, sweet & caring. But then when it comes to managing something, she turns into stern & responsible. And then the doctor side of hers, totally different. And lastly, the way she is with Manik, childlike loving, u know what I mean right?
Aliya: Yeah... I also feel so.
Dhruv: Before we all met Nandini, I know only two sides of Manik. One was the rude & arrogant, which was in the front of everyone & the other was the friend inside him which was in front of only four of us. Then Nandini came & we found out the caring & loving side of Manik. And now this kid within him. I just-
Manik: What r u guys talking about?
Manik asked turned towards them from Nyra.
Aliya: Nothing... Just like that.
Manik smiled at it & again got to playing with Nyra in which Cabir & Abhi joined him. A few minutes later, Nandini came out of the washroom & smiled seeing manik with Nyra. Nyra saw her & got down Manik's lap.
Nyra: Mumma!!
Nandini hugged her & then said,
Nandini: Good Morning my baby!!
Nyra: Gud Morning...
Nandini: When did u wake up?
Nyra: Just now...
Nandini: U brushed ur teeth?
Nyra nodded her head in a no.
Nandini: Haw... Bad girl!! Go brush ur teeth & then come back fast... Go!!
Nyra immediately ran outside the room & Nandini asked Manik about Daniel, Manik told her about his whereabouts & then Manik got in to freshen up. Nandini picked up the landline & called downstairs.
Nandini: Hello... Kaka plz send Rama up here.
2 mins later the cook entered the room & Nandini said,
Nandini: Rama plz prepare the breakfast 4 everyone & send it to the room itself. And yes, I hv kept a list on the fridge about what Mukti can eat & what she can't so keep that in mind.
Rama: Yes ma'am.
Nandini: Guys... Juice or coffee?
All: Coffee!!
Nandini: Ohk... So get a chocolate shake for Nyra, & juice for Mukti & me... And Coffee for the others.
Mukti: Why juice for me??
Nandini: Coz its more healthy than coffee!! I'll give u a company. Rama thats all!!
Rama: Ohk Madam...
He went away & all of them started discussing about Mukti's delivery. Soon Manik & Nyra also joined. They all started the breakfast when Navya asked,
Navya: So Mukti only 2 days left... What do u think will it be a girl or a boy!!
Mukti: Mn... I wish it to be a girl... A sweet little girl, thats what Abhi also wants.
Nandini: Aww!!
Manik: Nahh... I am sure it will be boy.
Aliya: How can u be so sure??
Manik: Ohk listen guys... We all know Mukti is not a girl, she is a boy!! So u only tell how can two boys combine to make up a girl...
All of them started laughing out loud while Mukti threw a pillow over manik.
Manik: What I m right yr!!
Nandini: Manik leave it na!! Leave her... Seriously guys I also feel that its gonna be a girl, a carbon copy of Mukti. Confident & smart as well as equally sensitive.
Mukti hugged her & then said,
Mukti: I don't know how can this idiot get a wife like u!! I so hate him.
Abhi: Chill Mukti!!
Cabir: By the way Mukti ready to finally become a mother?
Mukti: I don't know yr I m very nervous...
Nandini: No mukti!! Don't be nervous... U know from a girl gets to know that she is pregnant, that moment itself she becomes a mother. For nine months u hv kept that child within u, nourished it with all ur love, taken care of it with all ur might... The mother inside u has learned to take care of it & u'll see the moment u hold it in ur arms u'll feel a different sort of a connection already build up with ur child.
Mukti heard her each & every word & Nandini said,
Nandini: Ask Navya & Aliya... How great does it feel to hold ur child in ur arms.
Both Aliya & Navya smiled at her & Navya said,
Navya: Mukti u know the day Kavya was going to come into this world, that day I was very tensed, I didn't know how I was going to bring this child up, I didn't know how would the society accept it but then the moment I saw her, I suddenly forgot everything. All i knew was that she was my daughter & I loved her.
Cabir hugged her sideways & she wiped up her tears.
Nandini: See Mukti... I know u will be fine!! And yes I hv personally talked to ur doctor & she has told me that ur conditions r all good. And I know her, she is a nice friend of mine & a great doctor.
Mukti: Nandini I wanted something from u!!
Nandini: Say na! Anything for u...
Mukti: I want u to be the first one to touch my baby... I want u to do my delivery!
Nandini: Me...?? Mukti how can I-... I mean I hv never done this before.
Mukti: Nandini I know u hv been studying it from the past months, so u can help me in emergency but I want u to do it now
Nandini: Mukti I-
Mukti: Plz nandini... U r a doctor & that too in the same hospital, they r not going to stop u & that doctor will be there to help u right?? Plz...
Nandini stayed quite, she didn't know if she could do it or not but she couldn't say no to Mukti. She simply stayed quite. Manik held her hand & smiled at her & nodded.
Nandini looked at him & then said,
Nandini: Ohk... I'll talk to ur doctor about it.
Mukti smiled broader at it & hugged her saying,
Mukti: Ohk so there is one more thing... I want u to think of a name for the baby & then when moment u hand over my baby to me, I want u to tell me her name at that time. Just think of a name but keep it to urself whatever it is, I want to know my baby's name when I take it in my arms for the first time.
Nandini had tears in her eyes, Mukti smield at her & said,
Mukti: U r the one who has taken care of this child more than me... So u hv all the rights to name her.
Nandini wiped her tears & hugged Manik who was sitting on her other side. She hid her face in his chest & sobbed a little. Manik rubbed her back & said,
Manik: Hey... Why r u crying?? Its such a good thing...
Cabir: Aww... And our romeo & juliet are back.
All the others smiled, while Manik controlled nandini.
Daniel was standing at the door & peeping in,
Daniel: Enjoy as much as u want now... Just let these two days pass by. This child of Mukti's will come as an end to ur marriage. Just wait & watch how I make this event the most dreadful event of ur lives.

Part 43:
Recap: All were sitting in Manan's room having their breakfast & discussing about Mukti's baby. When Nandini got a bit emotional & hugged Manik. Daniel who was standing outside the room & listening to everything said to himself,
Daniel: Enjoy as much as u want now... Just let these two days pass by. This child of Mukti's will come as an end to ur marriage Manik. Just wait & watch how I make this event the most dreadful event of ur lives. Just let Nandini give birth of this little child of Mukti & then I'll take her much much far away from u.
The two days passed in a flash & finally Nandini got Mukti admitted in the hospital. Nandini didn't want Mukti to cause so much pain in the last minute running to the hospital chaos, so she suggested Mukti to get admitted beforehand itself. But then she knew that knowing Fab5's presence in the hospital, the media would be a problem so only Abhi, his mother & Navya were in the hospital & the rest would come only at the time when Mukti would be ready for the delivery. She herself had arranged all the security in the hospital with the help of Manik. It was late afternoon when she was sitting in her cabin with Dr. Agarwal discussing about a patients report when she heard a knock on the door.
Nandini: Come In!!
The door slowly opened & Manik entered followed by Daniel & Nyra.
Nyra: Mumma!!
Nyra ran towards Nandini & hugged her.
Nandini: Hello baby!!
Nyra climbed on her lap & sat.
Nandini: Nyra... Say hello to Dr. uncle.
Nyra: Hello Uncle!!
Dr. Agarwal: Hello little girl.
Nandini: Manik... U here!! I told u guys na, Fab5 should not be here, or media will get to know.
Manik: I couldn't stop myself & moreover I hv come alone & no one saw me... So chill!!
Nandini gave him a simple look & Dr. Agarwal said,
Dr. Agarwal: Dr. Nandini u continue... I'll take a leave.
Nandini: Ohk Dr... But I think about this patient we don't need the operation for the time being, I think he can get better by the medicines only & plus, he is responding to the treatment positively. And if at all in the future the condition gets worse that time we can hv the operation.
Dr. Agarwal: I think u r right Dr. Nandini!! I'll talk to his family & imform them about this.
Nandini: Ohk Dr.
Dr. Agarwal got up & said to Manik.
Dr. Agarwal: See u around Manik... And Nandini do keep me informed about Mukti.
Nandini: Sure Doctor.
He felt the room & Daniel said,
Daniel: Nandini... I needed a favour from u & Manik.
Nandini: Anything for u Daniel... Whats it??
Daniel: Actually I hv to leave for Canada tommorow for some important work. I had to go there next week & I had thought that I would go to Australia first & drop Nyra in her boarding, but now I don't have time to drop her there & also I don't know what kinda conditions are gonna be in Canada so I just wondered if... I mean if u both r okay with it then can Nyra plz stay here with u!!
Nandini was about to say something when suddenly Manik said,
Manik: Off course... Whats there to ask in this?? Nyra can definately stay with us for as much time as she wants.
Nandini heard him & saw the happiness on his face & smiled,
Nandini: Don't worry Daniel... Nyra will be safe & sound with us.
She turned to Nyra & asked,
Nandini: Baby!! Will u live with Mumma & Manik Uncle??
Nyra: Yes!!
Nyra said happily. Just then Nandini's landline phone rang. She picked it up & said,
Nandini: Hello!!
Diya(Recepionist): Dr. Nandini... Mukti mam has started having the labour pain, Dr. Meeta wants u there.
Nandini immediately made Nyra get off her lap & said,
Nandini: Ohk I m coming!!
She disconnected the call & got up. She wore her coat saying,
Nandini: Manik call the others, Mukti has started with the labour pain...
Saying so she rushed out of her cabin, followed by the rest. They reached Mukti's room to see Mukti screaming in pain holding abhi's hand. Navya & Abhi's mother were standing at the rare corner as Dr. meeta & two nurses prepared for the delivery.
Mukti saw her & called out,
Mukti: Nandini!!
Nandini rushed towards her, while Manik stood at the door itself with Daniel & Nyra.
Nandini: Calm down Mukti, I m here calm down.
Meeta: Nandini... We need the room empty now!!
Nandini: Yeah Sure!! Guys... Plz move outside!!
All of them nodded & moved out leaving Abhi.
Nandini kept her hand on Abhi's shoulder & said slowly,
Nandini: Abhi...Relax, I m here... U wait outside plz!!
Abhi smiled at Mukti & kissed her forehead after which he moved out.
Meeta along with Nandini started with the process. Mukti was screaming badly in pain but somehow Nandini's presence helped her. She had full faith on Nandini. Soon Cabir, Dhruv & Aliya also joined the others outside.
20 minutes later, finally Nandini got up with a cute little baby girl crying in her arms. She smiled looking at her & turned the fully blood claded baby towards Mukti. Mukti looked at her daughter with tears flowing from her eyes & smile on her face. But then Nandini saw her smile fade & suddenly Mukti fainted.
Nandini: Mukti!!
Dr. Meeta: Don't worry!! She is fine... She has just fainted due to the pain, she'll be up in 15-20 mins.
Dr. Meeta cutted the umbilical cord as Nandini took the baby in a towel.
Meeta: Nandini... U go get her a bath till then I'll finish it with Mukti.
Nandini smiled at it & then slowly walked towards the room attached to Mukti's room. She cleaned the little girls body with a soft wet towel & wrapped a clean white cloth on her body.
Soon she returned to the room & asked Meeta,
Nandini: Meeta... Can I take her outside till then?
Meeta: Yeah sure!!
The nurse slowly opened the gate & all the people standing outside rushed towards the door & saw Nandini walking out with a cute little child in her arms & tears in her eyes.
She looked up to see Abhi standing with Manik in the front. She walked closer to him & said,
Nandini: Congratulations Abhi... U got what u wanted. Its a girl!!
Abhi slowly took the baby from her arms with tears in his eyes. Nandini side hugged Manik while all the others blessed the little baby. Navya took the baby from Abhi & said,
Navya: She has exactly same eyes as Mukti.
Aliya: But the nose is like Abhi.
Abhi's mother too took the baby in her arms & kissed her forehead. Manik was about to touch her face when nandini hit his hand & asked,
Nandini: Manik... Are ur hands clean??
Manik looked at his hands & then back at Nandini.
Nandini: I m telling u all no one is going to touch this little life without washing ur hands...
All of them laughed at her comment & abhi asked,
Abhi: Nandini... Mukti??
Nandini: She is unconcious... She fainted due to the pain, but don't worry she is fine & will be up any moment now. And yes, she has see her baby before u all!!
Abhi smiled at her & said,
Abhi: Can I go in??
Nandini: Just a minute, let Meeta come out then she'll allow u.
Abhi's mother again gave the baby to Nandini & Meeta came outside.
Meeta: Congratulations Mr. Abhimanyu Kakkad.
Abhi: Thank u Doctor!! Thanks a lot.
Meeta: Nandini... Let Mukti wake up & then we have to conduct a few tests after 2-3 hours. Make sure that she feeds the baby & takes enough rest before that.
Nandini: Sure Meeta!! Thanks...
Meeta went away & all of them walked in. Abhi sat next to Mukti while all the others sat here & there.
5 minutes later, Mukti opened her eyes & looked at Abhi. Abhi smiled & kissed her forehead. Mukti looked here & there, everyone smiled at her but her eyes looking for her baby. Slowly Navya moved aside & Nandini walked towards her smiling with the baby in her arms. Mukti smiled seeing her, Nandini came closer & slowly gave her the baby & said,
Nandini: Your daughter, Ahana...
Mukti lifted her head to look at Nandini & smiled even brighter. She kissed the baby's forehead & repeated,
Mukti: Ahana!!
Aliya: Wow... Nice name Nandini...
Abhi: Beautiful!!
Abhi took Mukti in a side hug & Nandini smiled. He was about to break the hug when Cabir said,
Cabir: Stop!! Abhi stay like that, Yr ek picture toh banta h... The first time Mukti is holding her baby in her arms...
Abhi smiled at it as Cabir clicked a few photographs...
Nandini sat their with Mukti for some time & then said,
Nandini: Guys... Media has seen u guys coming in, they have been waiting for u all outside. Plz go & give them the news so that they would go soon.
Cabir: Manik... U go yr!! I m not going to go anywhere.
Manik: I m not going alone... Dhruv??
Dhruv: Nandini.. U go with him!!
Nandini smiled seeing them acting kiddish just becoz they wanted to be near the baby. With this Nandini & Manik walked out to meet the media.
As soon as they came out, they were surrounded by the reporters.
Reporter 1: Manik Sir is it true that u all are here as Mukti madam is gonna give birth to her child soon.
Manik: Yes!! But-
Reporter 2: Mrs. Malhotra u r a Doctor in this hospital so does that mean ki u urself will be doing Mukti ma'am delivery.
Nandini smiled at it & Manik replied,
Manik: Guys... We want to inform our fans that ur dear Mukti has given birth to a sweet little girl baby just an hour back.
All the reporters congratulated them & asked a number of other questions when Manik said,
Manik: Guys this is a hospital & we can't afford to have all this crowd gathered here so I think that will be all for today & don't worry Fab5 will soon address our fans with an exclusive interview & that time we will answer all your questions.
With this Manik & Nandini walked back in. Nandini stopped at the door & said to the guards,
Nandini: Make sure they all are out of here in 10 minutes.
Guard: Yes Doctor!!
With this Manik & nandini moved back to Mukti's room. All were sitting with Mukti & her baby, when nandini entered & said,
Nandini: Enough enough... Now u guys have to let Mukti rest for sometime.
Mukti: Chill na Nandini... I m fine!!
Nandini: No... U hv to rest & anyways Meeta is going to come after an hour or so to conduct a few test to u & Ahana.
Abhi: Yeah... I think u should take a nap for sometime.
Mukti: No I m not sleepy.
Nandini: Ohk u don't sleep but Ahana needs rest & I know no one is gonna let her sleep here so I m taking her with myself.
Nandini picked up Ahana from Navya's arms & turned.
Mukti: But Nandini where r u taking her??
Nandini: Don't worry Madam... I'll take care of her!! And I m just taking ur daughter to the natal care room.
Mukti: I know I don't need to worry about her when u r around.
Nandini smiled at her & walked out after which Mukti also to took some rest. That evening Mukti had all the test which came out to be quite normal. That night Nandini wished to stay there along with Mukti & Abhi but then Manik said,
Manik: I will also stay here with u guys...
Nandini: But Manik only two people are allowed to stay. U go home I'll stay here.
Manik: Ohk so I'll go afterwards... For now I can't trust u that u will take rest. U will keep on checking & rechecking on all ur patients & will not take rest urself.
Mukti: Manik don't worry nothing of that sort will happen, coz Nandini is also going home along with u.
Nandini: But Mukti-
Mukti: Nandini I m fine... U go home I'll be fine with Abhi. No one needs to stay.
Nandini: But-
Mukti: Manik... Take Nandini with u!!
Manik: Ohk!!
Soon Manik & Nandini both left from there. Manik was driving the car when he said,
Manik: Ahana is so cute na!!
Nandini: Yeah!!
They discussed about mukti & Ahana all the way to home. As they reached Nandini walked out of the car, towards the door & entered when suddenly Manik picked her up in his arms.
Nandini: Manik!! What r u doing??
Manik: Taking u to the room/
Nandini: Manik put me down, I can walk.
Manik: I know u can, but today I'll not listen to u coz I m very very happy.
Nandini smiled at him & then said,
Nandini: Manik don't forget Daniel & Nyra are also at home.
Manik: Its 11 pm they must be sleeping so chill...
Manik walked up towards their room... Nandini was teasing him about something, pulling his cheeks & laughing at him. Then finally they entered the room. Just then Daniel came out from behind a pillar & called some1.
Daniel(on phone): Are u ready to do it??... Good!!... Yes, wait for my call tommorow & then do as I told u... And yes don't ever try to contact me after the work is done..."
He disconnected the call & then said,
Daniel: Manik... Enjoy ur last night together!!!
