CHAPTER 4:
Nandini: Nandini moorthy, I have a meeting with sir at 4
Receptionist: oh yes, please wait. That guy sitting over there, sir wanted to have a meeting with you both together. Please have a seat and wait
Nandini turned to see who that guy was and her next sight got her into shock.
She now had to grab this deal directly opposing to the love of her life-Manik!
Manik was busy in his phone so he didn't notice Nandini standing in front of him.
Nandini took charge and grabbed Manik's hand and pulled him out to the parking.
Manik was stunned to see her there.
She dragged him to the parking corner.
Manik: Nandu baby, control, itna miss kar rahi thi mujhe
(He said playing with Nandini's long silky hair)
Nandini: I love you.
(She said and quickly hugged him)
He could sense that she's tensed.
He also wrapped his arms around her.
Manik: I love you too Nandini. Relax, kuch hua kya?
(They were talking without breaking the hug)
Nandini: manik..we're both here to bag Mr.Dhawan's deal.
Manik was upset hearing this but He had to smile and make her smile too.
Manik caressed Nandini's cheeks.
Manik: So? (He said with a tension free smile)
Nandini: so matlab, I'll have to oppose you over there
Manik: so?
Nandini: so matlab kya manik..tumhe isme kuch galat nahi lagra?
Manik: bilkul nahi. Remember our rule? We'll never let zyra or fusion come between our work.
Nandini: but manik..
Manik: shh (he kept his finger on her lips) andar jo bhi hoga, it won't affect us personally.
Nandini nodded and looked down.
He lifted her chin and made her look eye to eye.
Manik: hmm nahi. Promise me, you'll give your best inside. You'll forget that Manik is standing in front of you. For you it'll only be a person from your rival company. Ok? Promise karo.
Nandini smiled atlast.
Manik: what smile kya kar rahi ho?
Nandini: nothing. Just wondering if I could have ever asked god for more. You're perfect Manik.
I promise you, I'll be totally professional inside.
Manik: thats like my god girl. Ab chalien?
Nandini: Hmm, all the best Mr.Malhotra.
Manik: yes, good luck to you too ma'am. (He winked)
They entered and receptionist signaled them to proceed to sir's room.
Nandini took a deep breath and so did manik.
Now they were into their 'Professional' mode.
Nandini: maywe come in sir
Mr.Dhawan: yes yes please come sit!
Manik: Hello sir. I'm Manik Malhotra from Zyra.
Nandini: And I am Nandini Moorthy from Fusion sir. Pleasure to meet you.
Mr.Dhawan: Oh the pleasure is all mine your pretty lady.
Mr.Dhawan: ok so both one by one can tell me about your proposal.
One by one both Manik and Nandini excellently gave their presentations. They never degraded each other's company, all they did was highlighting what their company can offer.
Mr.Dhawan: I must say, I'm really impressed! Its a tough call to choose between you both I must say.
Both Manik and Nandini smiled at their appreciation.
Mr.Dhawan: I would like you both to pitch your proposal to my board members too, I would want their advice on this. I would like Mrs.Meera & Mr.Raj to be present at the meeting too. Is that ohkay?
Manik: yes sir
Nandini: Absolutely alright.
Mr.Dhawan: Great! I shall fix the meeting soon and let you guys know.
Manik: sure sir.
They both were about to leave when Mr.Dhawan again interrupted.
Mr.Dhawan: by the way, Tomorrow our company completes 10 years. We have a huge party at our place. All my business associates are invited. So are you both.
(He smiled)
Nandini: Sure sir. Thankyou.
Manik: We'll be there.
They left.
Mr.Dhawan's POV :
Such sweet youngsters...who would say that they belong to rival companies. Phew!

Nandini and Manik walked towards the parking without utering a word to each other. Their "professional" mode was still on.
As soon as they reached the parking, Manik smiled and went to Nandini.
Manik: You look beautiful when you're confident with your work
Nandini: and ajj mujhe samjh aya why nobody is able to resist your charm at work
Manik: really? Noone haan?
Nandini nodded with a teasing smile.
Manik: toh tum kyu control kar rahi ho? I am all yours han btw
Nandini: ofcourse, I know that Majnu Manik, you're only mine (she encircled her arms around his neck)
Without wasting a minute, she sealed her lips with his.

Yayaya! That's manan, never let professional life interfear personal life.
PS: I know we all hate the word 'Professional' all thanks to pani. :p but look professionalism can be amazing too. ;)
