Hello friends know you all of you would be very very very mad at me. And some of you would want to beat me hard. I know i deserve all your curses. But seriously i was stuck with my job then my M.Phil research work. Although i am still finding a good topic for it with my supervisor. But i know any of my explanation would not be enough. But still i want to try to apologize to you all. Very very very sorry 😭 And know i promise i would squeeze enough time to write more on this SS on every weekend please please forgive me and give your feedback.😳😳

Chapter 12

Soon both Naviya and Nandani reached university. "Ok come we have Professor Aditya's class now" Naviya told Nandani and held her hand to take her to the class.

"Ahhh Naviya I think I really need to go to doctor. I am feeling pain in my stomach." Nandani faked her pain. Suddenly Naviya got concerned.

"O my God what happened Nandani you ok na?" Naviya asked.

"No I really need to go."

"Ok come leave the class I will take you to the doctor."

"NO!...Ahm ahm I mean no no you go take the class I will go by myself."

"You sure?"

"Yup I am completely sure."

"Ok then take care bye."

"Bye" Naviya went to take the class but she was worried about Nandani.

I am really sorry Naviya I know you are worried but I didn't have any other option. Nandani thought to herself. But I hope that you would forgive me. Now back to my Sir Manik mission. And she started walking.

Manik had just arrived in his office along with Cabir. He was going through some books to prepare his lecture and Cabir was playing with the paperweight on the table.

"So Manik about that your student Nandani..." But before he could complete his sentence Manik said "There is nothing going on between us if this is what you want to ask"

"Yup I know you have already told me this like a thousand times. The thing I wanted to ask is about her friend Naviya."

"Naviya okkk and what is that???"

"There is no need to do this okkk thing. Cause atleast I am not like you who is not even sure about his own feelings." Cabir teased him playfully.

"CABIRRR!!"

"HAHAHA ok ok I know. But man I think that Naviya she is the one for me. I mean whenever she come in front of me I feel like my own eyes are not in my control they only want to stare at her."

"Ok Romeo stop this it's my student you are talking about."

"Aaa ya I am really sorry sir cause I totally forget that I am no more talking to my best friend Manik but Sir Manik instead." Saying this Cabir bow down in a funny way.

Manik punched playfully on Cabir's shoulder and they both started laughing.

"Ok now stop disturbing me I have to prepare my lecture."

"O so rude of you sir Manik" Cabir said in a playful manner. But before Manik could say anything his cell phone started ringing with a caller ID 'Nandani'.

Manik was trying to hide the caller ID from Cabir but was totally unsuccessful in doing so because Cabir had snatched the cellphone from Manik's hand and was shouting. "Bhabhi ka phone aya. Bhabhi ka phone aya..."

"CABIRRR! JUST STOP IT!" Manik was screaming and running behind Cabir to stop. But what can we say Cabir is Cabir.

"Hahahaha ok ok take it you desperate not have any feeling boy" Cabir handed over the cell phone to Manik.

Manik gave him the most scary 'I would tell you after this call' type expressions and attended the call and that sweet melodious voice hit his ear drums.

"Hello sir"

"Hi Nandani what is it..."

"Actually sir I was reading some of your lectures but they are just not understandable can you please teach them to me if I come to your office now? If you are comfortable?"

"Aaa let see I have my lecture at 11 so ya you can come."

"O thank you sooo much sir I am just coming."

"Ok then see you."

"Yup bye sir."

"Bye" As soon as Manik hang up the phone Cabir said with and open mouth. "So it's a date."

"WHAT? Hell no she is just coming to learn some topics." Manik explains the whole thing.

Something struck to Cabir's head. "So she have a free lecture?"

"Ya I hope so"

"And she is coming alone?"

"Yup I think so. But what is it?"

"Aaa no nothing. You have your happy teaching date. I would just go and you now check the canteen and eat some stuff."

"Ooo now I get it. But please don't do anything that..."

"Manik yar look at me do I look like I would do anything wrong?" And Cabir made the most innocent face.

"Hahaha ya ya now of you go" Manik said with a smile and Cabir left Manik's office.

Just after 2 to 3 mints Nandani knocked the door, peeped inside and asked "Can I come in sir?"

"YUP!" Manik said loudly and didn't looked towards her because he was busy in gathering the notes on the topics he has taught in the class.

Nandani slowly came inside and stand in front of the table.

What?? This is not a good sign Nandani. The article said that the one who loves you would recognize your voice. Then if he does recognize then why didn't he looked towards you? Nandani's mind was on the opposite side and today it was not going to leave any chance to prove that sir Manik was not in love with her.

But her heart too was ready to prove her mind wrong and said. No maybe he recognize your voice but didn't looked because he is busy with some paper work see.

Really? Ok we will see...

Yup we will see...

"Come Nandani have a seat I am just finding my lectures notes for..." And Manik stopped in his mid-sentence when he saw Nandani her long hairs were let open and that beautiful pink dress of her was just as the same color of her lips. Those rose Patel like lips they were like inviting him to come and taste them.

So what did I tell you that he knows that I am here. And now he just can't move his eyes from me. Her heart was shouting with joy.

Ok ok so then what teachers probably know how there students sound like. And I know that there is some other reason behind that staring. Her mind was not going to loss. After all it was a part of her that don't want to loss ever.

"For what sir?" Nandani asked when he didn't say anything for some time. But in her heart winning alarms were ringing.

"Ahm yup...I...I mean the notes for you." Manik said while cursing himself inwardly.

What the hell Manik? What do you think you were doing?? His mind was scolding him.

But she is looking pretty today. I mean very pretty. His heart gave its arguments.

So what you know still she is your student. And you can't do that.

Hmmm ya I think you are right.

Know do something so that she would think that you were not staring at her.

Ahhh ok.

"Ahhh Nandani..." he said while still staring her and moving towards her.

"Yes sir..." Nandani felt like she would be the luckiest person on earth after Sir Manik would come close and say something she wanted.

See I told you...And her heart was teasing her mind.

He was moving closer and closer Nandani stood there rooted to the ground. He was now in front of her.

"Nandani will you please get aside I need that book behind you." He said in a composed voice.

HAHAHAHA!!!! So why he was staring at you???? It was nothing he was just staring at the book behind you on the book shelf on the wall. Her mind was laughing on the top or her voice. But at this time her heart stayed quite.

Nandani was totally shocked and it took her almost 5 to 10 seconds to compose herself. "Ahhh sure sir" And she moved aside.

Manik took the book and came back to sit down on his chair and asked her to sit down. She did the same.

"What happened you ok?" Manik asked as he saw that she was no more smiling just as she was a few mints ago.

"Ahhh no nothing sir." Nandani said in a little disappointed voice.

"You sure?"

Nandani just nodded because he herself felt her voice sound a little disappointed.

"Ok then. By the way you look great today." Manik said just to lighten up her mood as he felt something was wrong with her.

And that was it the lost smile came back to her face. "Thanks sir" She said and thought. See he cares. Now execute the next plan. That girl on the article commented that her class fellow used to observe her from the corner of his eye quietly that thing always irritated her then but when he confessed his love for her she know why he used to do that. So now I am going to use that same trick. O ayiapa please help han.

And as per planed she placed her cell phone on the table so casually that Manik didn't noticed that she could easily see him on the mobile screen. The screen acted as a mirror whenever she or Naviya needed it so this was the time to put that mirror to a good use.

"So which topic do you want to study?" Manik was relaxed once again to see that smile back on her face.

She pointed towards the notes on the table. "Ok for this you need to know what database relations are..."

And he started to teach her the topic. Nandani was pausing that she was looking just on to the paper where Manik was drawing diagrams but actually she was time to time peeping on to her cell phone just to check that whether he was looking at her or not. But slowly all her hopes were going to down because Manik was only focusing on teaching her.

"Now as I have teach you mention these relations in this ERD ok?" Manik asked her to do a small assignment and in the meanwhile grab a book to have a look.

"Ok sir" Nandani said in a low tone and started to do the assignment. After a while she peeped to her cell phone again just to check. And her heart was flying in the 7^th sky as she saw Manik looking at her from the corner of his eyes. See I told you...Her heart and mind were literally fighting like small kids.

Manik what are you doing? She is your student? Stop being a pervert...Manik's mind scold him.

But she don't know about this she is going her assignment. His heart argued.

Like seriously this is your lame excuse. So what that she don't know she is still your student and you are his teacher so behave like one.

He forced his eyes to move back to the book in his hands. Yup now that's good. Finally his mind was happy. But his heart wanted to have a glimpse of her again.

Just one more time please I beg you please. His heart was begging to have just one sight or her as she was looking too cute while finding answer to the assignment. Finally he his mind allowed but only for once. He again adjusted his pupil to see her. And once again this act didn't go unnoticed by Nandani.

Yes yes yes this plan again worked. So now the new plan. But for that I need to find something sharp. But first the assignment is done. I think I would search something sharp while sir would be checking my assignment. She smiled to herself as how genius she was to think of that plan.

"Sir this is done."

"Ahm ooo ya let me see." Manik was busy in checking the assignment while Nandani searched on the table and finally spotted a paper knife. Right next to where she was sitting on the table. Purposefully she pushed her hand just to drop it down on the floor. Manik look towards her in surprise to see what happened. But Nandani gestured him that it was ok and that she would take his notes from the floor. And knelt down to gather some of Manik's papers and the paper knife.

She deliberately put a little cut her left hand's index finger and started to shout "Ahhh shit sir..."

"What happen?" Manik ran towards her and saw her blood coming out of her finger. "O God you are badly hurt." Manik said while holding her hand. He was freaking out but controlled himself because he know somehow he have to stop this bleeding before more blood start to ooze out of that cut. Without any second thought he put her finger into his mouth.

That action of his put Nandani in to shock. Both her mind and heart were silent. She stood there looking right in Manik's worried face. He was trying his best to stop the blood. After a mint he take her finger out of his mouth just to check whether she was bleeding or not. And he was glad to know that the bleeding was stopped but the cut was vulnerable so he thought to bandage it.

"Ah Nandani would you please get up? I need to bandage your finger."

His voice take her out of her trance and the she realized that she was holding her breathe during what just Manik did. "Ahm yes sir."

She slowly get up from her place and sit on the chair. Manik went straight to drawer and take out a first aid kit and started dressing the cut. "So what just happened? How did your finger got that badly hurt with the paper knife?" Manik asked with a worried voice.

"I was trying to grab your stuff to put it back on table." Was all she could manage to say as her heart was crying. He loves me. I told you.

Don't come to a decision too soon. Why don't you ask him that why did he is doing this? Her mind played its last shot and she agreed because she don't know why but she knew that this time her mind would face a horrible defeat.

"Sir?"

"Yup"

"W-why are you d-doing this?"

"What do you mean?"

"I...I m-mean you seem so w-worried about my finger. Even it is n-not that b-bad you know." Nadani barely completed her sentence. It took full her strength to ask Manik this question. Because she know her life was dependent on that answer of his.

The question brought Manik back to reality. He don't know why his heart wanted to tell her that he felt as if his own finger was bleeding when he saw blood oozing out of her cut. But his mind remind him his duty and his position in her life. He was totally confused as what to say?
