Manik asked Harshad to marry Navya only bcoz he wanted to see his reaction if he has really changed or is still the old Harshad. And when he denied that proved his point. And anyway its a youth show both way the story can be interesting.

Like for young people getting married they could show how they have to adjust and taking on responsibilities and things like that, maybe later they can realise that it was too early to get married.

And with the live in they can show the hard times they would go through to make their family agree especially Nandini family (chacha, Chachi and Amms) also Nandu would want Rishab to stay with her. Plus Nyonika being against them.
