I have to say that I loved the fact that they TALKED about intimacy and taking the next step. Manik as usual was teasing her, but the kameena meant exactly that...that he wanted to get intimate with her...and she blushed thinking it, not because she does not want it but because she does not speak about such things and he subtly told her that he liked that she was thinking about it and she gave her consent that she was ready to take the next step by resting her head on his shoulders.

It was so simple...do you want to take the next step, because I really want to but it is okay if you do not...and her answer was in the affirmative...that yes, I do too.

Geet: Trust someone so deep as you to pick up on such things! 😳 I think we can pull out the Fab 5 factor again here...the fact that Fab 5 wasn't male dominant and consisted of Aliya and Mukti gave Manik the closure that he cannot judge all women just on the basis that his mother turned out to be a manipulative vamp. At the same time he was so young for when this happened and meeting Fab 4 at that young age and realising that somewhere down the line it was all about kids feeling the disconnection they felt with their parents probably helped him and saved him from falling into that misconception.

And I think the fact he's never let Nyonika's ploys blur his vision of womanhood, it's the one reason we all love him so much for respecting Nandini's wish, her comfort, her likes/dislikes and her choices of course. As much as we gush about this whole idea of them becoming intimate and how Malhotra seems to start anywhere with his flirting and touches...yet it's just all so known now that he will never take that step until Nandini herself doesn't make the first step or at least express that she herself is willing to take their relationship to the next step.

You know honestly I've always wished that when this show ends...we see Manik's wounds to be all healed and there be a sort of content feeling in his life that yes he is complete now. It's sort of like the feeling Nandini felt that night when she expresses how his love has brought her at peace with the stars again and in a sense he brought her parents closer to her that night. When Amms' track was finally paid heed to, I wanted there to a relationship between Amms and Manik which was one of its own. Yes his primary relationship will always remain with her as the fact that she's Nandini's Amms...his love's family. But I wanted there to be just this one conversation between Amms or some scene where Amms realises of the pain and parental hollowness which exists inside Manik. The wounds which till now refuse to be stop bleeding. And so I had hoped that the affection he will attain from Amms would be more than just this idea that Nandini's grandma has accepted Manik. I wanted her to kind of accept him as her own...someone who she was willing to bless at every step of life, pray for his happiness and shower him with the motherly affection that he's craved all his life. Honestly, I don't know if this is asking too much but expecting this sort of an end from Nyonika's side is something I don't want because it'll be too abrupt and just so fake.
