Nandu's Outfit is suffocating. In this garmi I can't even think of wearing anything so heavy or full... In fact i most of the times take my dad's t shirt and my hot pants & wear it at home.. bahar k liye summer dresses zindabad.. Biba , global desi, Anokhee all give free sourcing man.. why can't they source clothes from there..?

I was thinking today about how much I liked how they demarcated the place of music in Manik and Nandini's lives during last week's epis. For Manik, music is expression- they've shown him singing in joy, in pain, or murdering his guitar strings in anger. But his music has always been expressive of his moods. Whereas for Nandini, music is a distraction, a way to seek peace when she feels lost and restless. It's more like a consolation she seeks outside of herself, like that one time she played the veena during the toxic track. & every time she loses that grip on herself, her music goes away too- Musicana, the Pandit. Music is essential for both of them, but for very different reasons. She will always need it even if it isn't her career.
It's sad that this connection with music never came across as it should have, especially in Nandini's case, both due to the writing and the acting. Music overall deserved a bigger place in this show, but oh well.

Yes I am VERY bored. Indulge me. 😆

Very true...honestly in general the whole talk about music connecting them rings hollow to me precisely for these reasons...Manik's passion and expressiveness regarding music is always apparent...while Nandu seems to be reluctant about music...it's a crutch, a distraction for her...in early epis I felt like she was more in awe of it than really enjoying it...she used to be awed by Manik ka music the time she got to hear him sing...but she herself never really seemed to find either peace or joy from her own music.

She comes across as more of a FAN of music than having any inclination to MAKE music herself...and because this doesn't get explored clearly in the show, we only get khichdi dialogues and on off references to the importance of music in her and Manik's lives...it feels abstract and surface level...unlike the talks about the fireflies and stars connecting them cuz that was sketched out much better and makes impact when spoken about.

Music has always been a prop and backdrop in this show and not really explored to a spiritual level as it should have been for characters supposedly steeped in music in this music school...I think early days had rare scenes like Meethi Boliyaan and Maanjha that kinda utilized the music better...now it's just random jukebox song performances.

Why don't you kill me instead, let me search the other pretty things to keep you entertained?😆

No more Old loony guys for you. Okay, they will need the tablet to keep it going.

Music always was shortchanged on this show. Especially for Nandu, they never could manage to find her independent space for it. The blame goes to everyone. They chose Veena which Niti couldn't manage , then for100 episodes they rarely sold her music as a trait. FC was the only way they could have established it but oh well.

Agree with rest, for Nandu - music is peace, calm , the balance of her soul. For Manik. it's passion, a medium of expression. They both took to music for different reason but essentially it kept them sane. Music is her personal therapy session. Actually for both of them. Just their objectives of using it be different.

I know , so much suffocation and Mumbai be humid - eww, I pity Niti for wearing that monstrosity.

THIS...it pisses me off that we get VELLE sideys with better outfits than Nandu😕...how are Alya and Mukti shown to be getting their perfect sanskaari looks down while Nandu is resigned to frumpy grandma look? Shouldn't Nandu know MORE about dressing up in Indian outfits than them?😕

Also I have a feeling Niti ka LOVELY lipsync probably doesn't help in showing much depth to Nandu's music😆 Woh ek point pe this baccha maat khaa jaata hai...she always recites it cheerfully like an alphabet...which is why it doesn't feel like she's EXPRESSING herself through music...feels more mechanical.
