THE PROM NIGHT
Manik Malhotra a 6 feet hottie with a perfect face and a fit muscular body, the leader of the most famous band of New York University entered the college in his black shining BMW along with the rest of the members of fab5. Aliya Saxena the hottest chick of the college walked inside holding her boyfriend's hand i.e. Dhruv Vedant who was the sweetest guy in the college. Mukti Vardhan a tomboy with killer attitude walked inside with her evil twin i.e. Cabir Dhawan the coolest guy to hang out with. Manik in the middle, Dhrulya at his right hand side and the evil twins on his left hand side. Everyone cleared their way as they entered the college campus. They were the rulers of the college and no one dared to speak anything in front of them. A guy accidently bumped into Manik and fab4 smirked looking at him. Manik looked at him angrily and then put him in the dustbin and walked away. He was an angry hulk until he entered the canteen and saw a petite young girl wearing a pair of black jeans and a baby pink top with her oversized glasses. His angry melted away replacing with a smile which fab4 noticed and started teasing him. That girl was sitting in the canteen reading a book while adjusting her glasses again and again. She was none other than Nandini Murthy. A beautiful girl with brains. She was a nerd and had very less friends. At first fab5 bullied her a lot until their leader started having a soft corner for her.
She was a student of literature and he was a student of music. Everyone except Nandini and her group of friends were bullied by them. Manik had made her his spot girl for 100 long days in the fresher year and during these days he fell for this beauty and since then he never bullied her or her group of friends. She was treated like a princess by him and she very well knew it. It's been three years now and the college was going to end soon. Here Nandini was lost in her books and Manik was lost in admiring her from far away. Fab4 brought him out of his trance.
Cabir: Manik kab tak aise hi dekhta rahega? Just tell her dude. College will end soon and maybe you will never meet her.
Dhruv: Yes buddy just tell her na. I know she too has something for you.
Mukti: And waise bhi who can resist Manik Malhotra's charm. Koi bhi tujhe han boldegi.
Manik: Wo waisi nahi hai jo mere looks aur money ke liye mujhe han bol degi. She is different.( He smiled)
Cabir: Ahem ahem. Manik Malhotra is behaving like a love sick puppy.
Manik: Shut up Cabir.
Cabir: I have an idea. Ask her out for the prom night. Main usey bulata hu wait.
Cabir shouted Nandini's name and she looked at him and smiled. Cabir signalled her to come and she came towards them smilingly. Manik was nervous and looking at her. At the same time Nandini was also doing the same. She said to herself," Aiyappa. What will I say? Manik bhi hai waha and he is looking at me with those mesmerizing deep eyes. He looks so handsome like always.
I can't take my eyes off him. I wish I could tell him what I feel. But he is Manik Malhotra and I am just a commoner." Her thoughts were disturbed by Dhruv who asked her to sit. She hesitantly sat beside Dhruv which was exactly in front of Manik's chair. She could feel his intense gaze and she started blushing which was noticed by everyone. She tried hard to hide her blush and then Navya came there to her rescue she thought. She left a sigh of relief and greeted Navya. Navya hugged Cabir and kissed on his cheeks and sat beside him. Yes she was Cabir's lady love and Nandini's best friend. They all talked for a while and then everyone left for their classes. Cabir forced Manik to talk with Nandini so he went towards her class and was waiting for her to come. The bell rang and everyone came out. The girls started ogling at him shamelessly and he just smirked. Nandini came out and Manik went near her and smiled.
Nandini: Hi Manik. What are you doing here?
Manik was lost in her: I was waiting for you. ( he mentally facepalmed himself for uttering the truth)
Nandini blushed and Manik looked at her lovingly. Suddenly Manik pulled her inside an empty classroom and pinned her to the wall. Nandini kept staring at him and he too did the same. He tucked the strand of her hair behind her ear and moved closer to her face. Nandini closed her eyes and her heart started beating fast.
Manik smiled looking at her and then went near her lips and was about to claim it when her phone rang breaking their trance. Manik got irritated because of the miss kiss again. Nandini said that she has to leave for her hostel and Manik suggested to drop her. He dropped her to her hostel and hugged her before leaving to which she blushed like a tomato. A few more days passed like this and soon the final exams started. In 1 week all the exams finished and the students were dancing with joy. They were informed about the prom night and also that the couple entry was compulsory. Nandini being the least interested in such things went back to her hostel and jumped on her bed and took the photo frame on her side table in her hand. It was Manik'a photo and she kissed it. She caressed the photo with her fingers lightly and then again kept it aside. Meanwhile, Manik was sitting in his bedroom in his lavish mansion strumming his guitar strings. He was thinking about the prom night and Nandini and suddenly an idea popped in his mind. He didn't have the courage to ask her directly so he thought of doing something special. The prom night was the next day and he had no time to waste. So he stood up and called up Cabir.
Cabir: What's up Nandini's Manik?
Manik: Shut up man! I need to talk about something important.
Cabir: Han bol na.
Manik: I am gonna ask her out for the prom. But I need your help.
Cabir: Wow that's great. But don't tell me ki mujhe usey puchna padega.
Manik: Shut up Cabir and listen to me.
Manik tells his plan to Cabir and he gets very happy listening to it. He says that everything will be done and Manik hangs up the call happily. He says to himself," Nandini I will let you live a dream with open eyes."
NEXT EVENING
Nandini was sitting in her room when Navya was deciding her dress for the prom night. She was looking sadly at Manik's photo and was lost in her thoughts. Navya shook her shoulders and she came out of the trance and gave a pale smile to Navya.
Navya: Nandu look at this dress. Isn't it perfect for tonight?
Nandini: Yes it is perfect.
Navya: Kya hua Nandu?
She sat beside her and saw her holding Manik's photo and she side hugged her assuring that everything will be alright.
Navya: Don't be sad Nandini. Dekhna ek din Manik will be with you as your prince charming.
Nandini blushed hearing his name and said: I hope so.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door and Nandini opened it and a boy gave a parcel with
A bouquet of red roses. She sat on the bed with it and thought it must be for Navya by Cabir. But Navya gave it back to her as Nandini's name was written on it. She was shocked but then opened the box. She was mesmerized at what she looked. There was a beautiful red gown in it with a note. It read,
Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It's about having a pretty mind, pretty heart and pretty soul.
And you have it all. Please wear this dress for me and be my date for the prom.

Nandini's happiness knew no bounds. She was very happy. She never even thought in her dreams that Manik would ask her out. She saw perfect silver stilletoes and matching accesories with it which seemed very pretty. She took the bouquet in her hands and inhaled the fragrance of roses while blushing. She found a note in it too. It read," I have waited for this day from so long. But no more. This wait will be over soon. Just 2 hours left." Navya was just looking at her and smiling. Nandini turned towards Navya and said," Manik." Navya understood and hugged her best friend in joy. Navya and Nandini both started getting ready for the prom night. At the same time, Manik was also getting ready for the prom night. He was just thinking about Nandini and blushing. Exactly after 2 hours at 9 pm Manik was standing in front of Nandini's hostel. Nandini was looking at herself in the mirror for the last time and then she went down. Navya had already left with Cabir so she was alone. She walked towards Manik and was mesmerized to see him standing in front of her looking no less than a prince. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a red shirt with a red bow tie and his hair perfectly gelled up. He had a perfect smile on his face and his eyes full of love gazing at the beauty in front of him. He was mesmerized to see her in that red strapless ruffled dress which made her look like a princess. She was wearing a necklace with diamonds studded in it and a beautiful bracelet with matching earings.
Her hair were curled up and left loose. She walked closer to Manik and blushed looking at him. He bowed down in front of her and kissed her hand gently. He said," You look so beautiful Nandini. I can't take my eyes off you." Nandini's red lips curved into a big smile and she looked into his chocolatey eyes. She said," You look like a prince." Manik just smiled and then opened the door for her. She sat in the car adjusting her dress and Manik closed the door and then sat on his seat. He starter driving and they reached soon. During the ride, they were just stealing glances of each other and blushing. Manik got out of the car and everyone started staring at him. They were desperate to see his date. As he opened the door and Nandini stepped out everyone's eyes popped out looking at her. No one could believe she was the same girl who wore glasses and simple clothes. All the girls were burning due to jealousy and the guys were ogling at her. Manik asked her softly," Will you come with me?" Nandini just smiled and slid her hand in his arm and they started walking. They looked like a star couple walking on the red carpet. Manik took her to the place where rest of theor friends were waiting for them. They were awstruck looking at them. Everyone complimented them and also teased them a lot. Soon all the students came there and the principal gave a speech and then told the students to start voting for the prom king and queen. Nandini was shocked to see MaNan's name in the nominations.
Manik looked at her shocked face and said," Why are you shocked? Obviously humara nam to hota hi nominations me. I am Manik Malhotra after all." Nandini just gave a smile and then the voting started. MaNan were standing in a corner away from the others. Manik held her hand and started caressing it while looking into her eyes. Manik said," Nandini when I picked this dress I thought it's so pretty but when I saw you wearing this dress it looked much more pretty." Nandini said," And why do you think so?" Manik said," Because you are the most beaitiful girl I have seen till date and you made this dress look pretty by doing the honours of wearing it. I must say it's very lucky that you wore it." She was blushing and then suddenly Manik pulled her closer and then entwined their fingers and the other hand cupped her face and slowly moved his face towards her. Their lips touched but they moved away as they heard their friends voices. They were standing there and hooting for them. Manik gave a deadly stare to everyone and said," What the hell! Always wrong timing." Cabir said," yeh humara kam hai yar." Manik gave a frustrated look and Nandini looked here and there to avoid embarrassment. Mukti said," guys chalo results announce hone wale hai." Everyone moved towards the stage and the principal came on the stage to announce the results. MaNan won the Prom king and queen tittle and they were asked to dance first.
Manik held her hand and walked in the middle of the dance floor and soft started playing in the background and MaNan swayed with the music. They were intensely looking into each others eyes and dancing forgetting about everything. Soon everyone else joined them and the dance floor was full with the students. Everyone was dancing and suddenly Manik moved away from there and Nandini started looking here and there to find him. Suddenly the music stopped and the lights went off and the spot light went on Manik who was standing holding his guitar. Everyone came around him and he started playing his guitar and started singing looking towards Nandini.
Hum tere bin ab reh nahi sakte

(He walked towards her and twirled around her not breaking the eye contact.)

(He handed the guitar to Dhruv and pulled Nandini closer by holding her hand.)
(He started singing while dancing with his princess.)

( he nodded his head signallimg her that he can't stay away from her.)

( she turned around and started walking but Manik held her hand and pulled her closer. She crashed on his chest)

(He kissed on her shoulder by holding her waist tightly and then again turned her around. He sang while dancing with her.)

( They were dancing forgetting about the rest of the people looking at them. She blushed and looked down but Manik made her look at him with his finger and sang looking into her eyes.)

(He finished the song and they were standing very close to each other. Everyone started clapping and hooting for them. The lights were turned on and then Manik again disappeared and came back in seconds with a box in his hands. He knelt down in front of her and held her hand.
He said while lovingly looking at her," I don't know when I fell for you. I just know that once I fell for you I never looked back. I am in love with you like since forever but never had the courage to confess. Nandini Murthy I want you to shine for me. Main tumhari har prayer mein rehna chahta hu. I want you to trust me completely. I LOVE YOU NANDINI. I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK. WILL YOU BE MINE FOREVER?"
Nandini was overwhelmed with this and she happily replied," Yes yes yes Manik. I will always shine for you. You will always be in my prayers. I will trust you humesha. And I LOVE YOU TOO. I LOVE SO SO SO MUCH." Manik blushed and stood up after kissing her hand and then opened the box. It was a beautiful diamond tiara and Nandini put her hands on her mouth in excitement and her eyes were wide open. He smiled at her cute antics and then made her wear the tiara and then placed a soft kiss on her forehead and said," My princess." It was a perfect princess moment for Nandini. Nandini just blushed and then placed her lips on his softly by keeping her hands on her shoulder and Manik kissed her softly holding her waist. The kiss was soft, deep, passionate and full of love. They broke the kiss soon because they were not alone. Other students cheered for them and they just blushed. After that, everyone started dancing again and fab4 and Navya congratulated them. MaNan were standing very close to each other. Manik had wrapped his arms around Nandini's waist.
Cabir: Finally you guys are together.
Mukti: Yeah! Seriously Manik ko hum kitne time se bol rahe the ki bata de. But anyways I am so happy for you both.
Manik: Okay guys. Enough of this. We will see you tomorrow.
Aliya: Where are you going?
Mukti: Kya puch rahi hai Aliya? Obvio inki private party hogi na ab. But Manik keep one thing in your mind. Always keep it safe.
Manik glared at her angrily and Nandini looked here and there and blushed.
Manik: Mukti shut up!
Cabir: Sahi to keh rahi hai yeh. If
Dhruv interrupted: Guys please stop it. Buddy tu ja yaha se nahi to yeh log tumhe kabhi jane hi nahi denge.
Manik smiled: You are the Best Dhruv.
Saying this he left with Nandini. He took her to his favourite place i.e. central park and they sat on a bench beneath sky holding hands and gazing at the stars. Nandini rested her head on his chest and wrapped her hand around his waist and he held her close to her.
Nandini: I can't believe what just happened. Is it real Manik?
Manik: Yes it's real. Actually I also can't believe. Yeh koi sapna lag raha hai.
Nandini: Hmm.. mujhe bhi.
After some time,
Nandini: Manik.
Manik: Hmmm..
Nandini: I just want you to hold me tight always and never let me go.
Manik: I will never let you go sweetheart. You are my life.
Nandini: Hmm.. And thank you so much Manik for everything. But all this jewellry and this tiara it might be too costly na. How can I
Manik interrupted: Shhh. Nandini you are my princess. I love spending money on you. You are the only reason I live. So please accept it for me for us for our love.
Nandini smiled and then sat straight beside him and then kissed him softly which turned into a deep passionate kiss. He then kissed on her shoulder, her neck and bit her ear lobe making her moan. Realising that they were outside Manik stopped himself and moved back pecking on her lips. After that, Manik started driving and said," Baby I wanna show you something. Will you come with me?" Nandini said," Yes of course. Chalo." Manik smiled and drove off to his mansion. He took her to his room where no one was allowed to enter. He turned on the lights and Nandini was mesmerized to see it. It was a big bedroom with a king sized bed. On top of the bed there was a large photo frame having MaNan's photo. On the wall opposite to it there were loads of pictures of Nandini in every expression. She went near the pictures and touched the photos and then stood there for a while adoring her pictures. Manik hugged her from backside resting his chin on her shoulder.
Nandini: Manik I never knew that I was so beautiful.
Manik: I told you na that you are the most beautiful girl in this whole universe.
Nandini turned around and said: I love you so much Manik.
Manik: I love you too princess.
Nandini kissed him passionately and Manik also gave in. Manik broke the kiss and kissed her neck passionately giving her love bites all over.
Nandini again kissed him passionately and removed his blazer and threw it on the floor. Manik broke the kiss and carefully removed all her jewellery and then kissed her again. She unbuttoned his shirt and he unzipped her dress and they fell on the bed kissing each other. Next few hours of the night, the room was filled with Nandini's moans due to the pleasure given by Manik. Then they slept peacefully in each other's arms under a blanket cuddling each other.
