See, that's where I'm stuck on. Manik broke up with Alya because she lied and that they hid things from him. It was the lack of trust that Manik went on. But then I guess he also realised (with his lingering feelings for Nandini) that he and Alya were not in what they called "love".

It was more like a habit, because otherwise why else would Manik fall fast for Nandini and why else would Alya fall for Dhruv if they both loved each other?

No me neither. They wouldn't have cheated but nor would they have stayed happily. Between them it was more about Fab 5's friendship than their relationship.

I guess for Manik/Alya it was great that Nandini came along when she did, because what would happen if they stayed together for more years? They stayed together out of habit and love for Fab 5. What would happen if they even got married ? And had kids? Would they have stayed together just for the sake of their kids?

I don't think Manik and Alya dating was "wrong" for us viewers, this relationship gave the characters a chance to learn about love.

In a general sense; two people shouldn't stay in a relationship just because it's a habit or just because it will mean it will break their friendship or whatever. If your heart beats for someone else, or you are growing anxious and worry about your relationship, then maybe it's time to end it?

If I slow it down (in my head), it's like Alya wanted Manik back and to do that, she decided to help Dhruv with Nandini. But then she began falling for Dhruv even though he liked Nandini. She was unsure about her feelings esp towards Manik and Dhruv. And then even Dhruv started to feel somewhat closer to Alya, and then their hormones and feelings took over and they kissed (even though it was an accident). Dhruv prob kissed back because he'd never kissed someone before, and well, Alya... and then it started to change for them. Did Dhruv really wanted to be with Nandini? Did Alya really wanted to be with Manik? And then they just started to accept the changes happening between them.

I REALLY WISHED they slowed DhrulYa down and gave them a chance to speak out; I wanted more on THEIR feelings; their confusing between those they supposedly loved and this new feelings towards each other. Would have been amazing if DhrulYa was played alongside MaNan.
