Manik & Nandini - Stars & Fireflies part 17...
It was a breezy and windy morning in Mumbai..The clouds, the wind rendered a very romantic atmosphere to everything around it..It was perfect day..Nandini Murthy was dressed a sea green kurti with some hand embroidery and a white churidaar teamed it with a white and green scarf and green crystal earrings..Since it was windy she had tied her hair in a ponytail but as soon as she entered in the college she remembered her night with Manik and how he asked to keep her hair open, she didn't knew what got into her she opened her hair and let the wind blow through it.. Suddenly there were two hands covering her eyes "Navya!" She said.. "Arre wah you recognized me?" Navya asked in amu****t.."How can I not you are my friend na.." Nandini smiled and hugged her... "by the way Nandini you are looking very pretty today..Any boy will go flat on you.." Navya said hugging Nandini back..Nandini smiled and the only boy she could think off was Manik Malhotra.. Just as the two girls were having fun a black Merc pulled in of course it was Manik Malhotra, who came in early to college today.. usually Manik is never in Space premises before 10 am but today was special his DJ was coming back to Space and Manik wanted to drive her to the college so he took the pains of getting up early and coming with her..."Beautiful" said DJ.."Yeah i know awesome whether.." Manik replied.. "I am not talking about the whether Manik, I am talking about them.." DJ pointed towards Navya and Nandini "My students..how punctual they are!!" She said... Manik was spell bound when he saw Nandini, he thought she looked beautiful on the Fresher's Night in that dress and the makeup but today he was proved wrong she was looking stunning in her simpleton look with minimal makeup..Her eyes, her hair, her smile...Her smile, the stranger..Manik's thoughts again got him confused everytime he saw Nandini smiling all he thought about was that stranger.. Why she evoked the thoughts of that stranger?? Manik was confused but he didn't wanted to mess himself up early morning so he shrugged the thoughts and got out of car... "Good morning girls." DJ greeted the girls.."You are here early?" She questioned the girls...Nandini and Navya looked at her and rushed to touch her feet. They greeted her good morning... "It's the first day of our training and we didn't wanted to be late.." Nandini said.. "Its good to see such dedication.. Otherwise people don't leave their beds til 11 am.." She said referring Manik.. Manik gave 'why are spoiling my rep in front of juniors.." Look.. DJ gave him "juniors or a particular junior.." look..He returned the by giving her a "very funny but not at all funny" look..This was Manik and DJ's favourite game when they didn't wanted anyone to understand what they are talking about...Nandini and Navya we hell confused as to what's happening in front of them... Dj looked at poor girls' confused faces and laughed; she asked them to come to the class room..Nandini and Navya went in with DJ while manik was still standing there watching Nandini go..Just before she was about to get vanished from his eyes Nandini paused and turned back to see Manik still watching her.. Manik was very happy when she turned back he winked, smirked and blew a kiss to her; seeing this Nandini stomped off again saying "Aiyappa yeh ladka kabhi nahi sudhrega.." and walked off. Manik stood there and smiled for a while which got him thinking that ever since he met her he has been smiling and laughing too something which was very unnatural for Manik Malhotra... As Nandini entered the music room she found all the classical music instruments placed there from veena to sitar to tabla to mridangam and flute and many more..She was delighted to see all of this.. Dj brought a huge frame of goddess Saraswati and asked the girls to adorn her with flowers and light a diya.. "This shall be our daily routine firstly we will pray to god for giving us the gift of music and then we will start practice.." She instructed and the girls were more then happy to oblige her... Manik was sitting in the Fab5's private music room..Yes Fab5 had a private music room as they were the rulers of the Space Academy and Manik the undisputed king of this empire...Suddenly a voice caught his attention..It was Nandini signing Gayatri Mantra after lighting the diya.. Manik was as if under a spell, he just followed the voice and it led him straight to Nandini, he stood there watching her sing...There was calm and peace that her voice brought to him he was mesmerized by her voice.. The song ended and DJ looked back to find Manik standing at the door and admiring Nandini, she smiled and said "since when rockstars started gracing us classical musicians.."
