Something I wrote on Manik's anguish as of now.

The visceral pain, like glass shards cutting into your feet even as you run for your life, of holding the living burning flame, of wanting to let go and unable to do so, of the fear of losing her, of never seeing her again, of never holding her in his arms again, of feeling the blood in his mouth even as he bites his own tongue in anguish, of smelling her smell everywhere and yet unable to grasp her, of the primal fear of losing her forever, of the many more nights he promised, of the fireflies that glowed for them, of the shining star that brought the sky down to the earth for him and lit up his world, of kisses in the rain and hugs in corridors, of finding the perfect in the imperfect, of waking up to the smell of a new day together, of a sun that wants to blaze for them and of a moon that smiles benevolently at them, of a music that he cannot lose, of a song he cannot sing, of the promises he has to keep...
