CHAPTER-7
AT NIGHT
nandini was arranging the pillow and the blanket for herself on the couch so that manik doesnt get to sleep on the couch. manik comes out of the washroom and sees her getting ready to sleep in the couch
m=what the.. mane kaha tha ke couch pe me sounga??
n=sir dekhiye ap aramse bed pe sojayiye ma yaha sojaungi. apko adat nahi ha couch pe soneki
m=listen meri fikar karneki zarurat nahi ha okay?? apna mu band karo aur jaw sojaw
n=sir dekhiye ap behes mat kijiye, couch pe ma hi soungi.. apko back pain start hojayega
m=dekho nandini, tumhari problem kya ha?? tum mujhe dadi se daat khilwana chahti ho?? ke mane tumhe bed pe sone nahi diya phir tum yeh jakar dadi ko complain karogi aur wo mujhe datengi???
n=sir, mere dimag me apki jaisa bachpana nahi ha. ma apko dadi ki daat nahi khilwana chahti balki dadi ki tension kam karna chahti ho. agar ap bimar honge toa unko bura lagega so please yeh zidd bang kijiye aur jakar sojayiye
Manik took a step forward towards her and nandini backed off making her eyes big. Manik took the pillow from the couch and went to the bed. Nandini smiled seeing herself winning against manik.manik lied down on the bed and looked at nandini who was arranging the blanket over herself. Manik switched off the lights and asked nandini to switch off the lights beside her.
NEXT DAY
Manik was standing infront of the mirror getting ready. Nandini bought juice for him. It was Sunday
N=sir apka juice
She kept it beside the bed and was arranging the messy bed. Manik looked at her through the mirror.
M=what are you doing??
He walked up to her
N=sir bed theek karrahiho..yeh blankets
M=ha mujhe dikhraha ha par kyu karrahiho??
N=kyu matlab sir?
M=yeh sare kam karnekeliye gharme servants ha. Tumhe yeh sab karneki zarurat nahi ha.
N=sir mujhe yeh sab karneme koi pareshani ha aur yeh to humara ghar ..
Nandini stopped while saying "humara" and quickly changed her statement
N=I mean apka ghar ha aur apki koi kaam karneme mujhe koi pareshani nahi ha.
Manik changed the topic
M=shamko ready rehna, party me jana ha
Manik turned to leave when nandini stopped him
N=sir but aliya
M=uski tension tum mat lo..tayyar rehna main cabir se milne jaraha hu
RADIO STATION
Cabir came out of the room finishing his show. He saw manik sitting outside of the room on the bench. He sat beside him and patted on his back to bring him out of his thoughts.
C=kya hua???
M=kuch nahi
C=dekh, main is duniya me abhi nahi aya hu, tujhe bachpan se janta hu. tu jabhibi ese achanak mujhse milne ata ha it means your thinking something deep. Aur coincidencly mujhe is bar pata ha ke tu kis bareme soch raha ha
M=kis bareme??
C=nandini..
M=shes making it too complicated. Tujhe pata ha ma usse jitna takleef dena chahta hu
C=kis galtikeliye?? Manik, shes not at fault. She is just the victim like you of the circumstances. Hum sab jante ha ke tum dono ki shadi ek compromise ha aur dadi ki wish ha, aur tujhe dadi ne samjhaya tha na, give it a chance??
M=cabir r u mad?? U know main aliya se pyar karta hu
C=pyar karta ha ya phir pasand karta ha??
M=matlab???
C=matlab tu khud acchese janta ha aur agar nahi janta toa khud dhundneki koshish kar. Kyuki jo main dekh raha hu, bohot jald tujhe tere sare sawaloka jawab mil jayega manik. All I want to say is if u cant be good to her, then atleast don't hurt her
M=mane usse bola mujhse door rahe, but she is... cabir she's impossible.. kuch na bhi kaho sab kuch ekdam perfectly karti ha. Office me bhi aur gharme bhi. Cabir she doesn't need to do all these things but..
C=but she does, for you. Manik she is trying to accept the fact that both of u r married. That's y um saying give it a chance, hum sab tujhe force nahi karraheha. But atleast you should give it a chance cause I know the manik you are showing infront of nandini isnt u, tu baass uske samne hard and aggressive horaha ha, jiss manik ko mane humesha se dekha ha, dadi ne dekha ha wo manik ko samne laa, and trust me that wont be much difficult. Aur aliya ka sawal ha, toa as I said, love or like, ur urself confused.
M=I don't know cabir. Kuch samajh nahi araha ha
C=yeh sab chor, party me araha ha??
M=yaa
C=cool tu ghar ja, aur shamko party me milte ha. Chill out man
MALHOTRA MANSION
Nandini was getting ready for the party. She was wearing a blue saree and waiting for manik to come back. Her phone rang. It was from the hospital
N=hello doctor, sab theek ha na? rishab theek ha na??
Doctor=ha nandini sab theek ha, bass tumse kehna tha ke subhah agar possible ho toa rishab se milne aja aur is month ka deposit lekar ana kyuki uski treatment me kuch new medicines add hui ha so I hope u can understand
N=jee doctor, ma ajaungi
Nandini put the phone down and began to think how to arrange money.
N=paise kaha se lau?? Abhi tak salary nahi mili. Month toa khatam nahi hui ha, sir se mangu?? Nahi pehlehi sir ko kam pareshani hui ha kya meri wajase? Kuch na kuch sochna parega
Manik comes to the room and sees nandini all ready for the party. She was wearing a blue saree and her hair tied up in a side braid, looking indian beauty. He smiled to himself she was wearing his favourite colour without knowing
N=sir.. apke kapre mane nikal ke rakha ha
Manik looks at the bed and sees she had kept his suit all ready
N=ap fresh hokar ready hojaye ma dadi ko medicine dekar ati hu
Nandini was going out when manik stopped her at the door
M=nandini
N=jee
M=acchi lagrahiho
Manik took the suit along with him in the washroom . nandini smiled to herself
PARTY
Boys and girls were on the dance floor, music was heating the dance floor. Cabir and druv were chilling at the bar. Mukti and aliya comes and joins them
Mu=wassup guys.
Druv was surprised to see aliya wearing red dress which he suggested instead of wearing blue which was manik's favourite
Dr=aliya u look beautiful
A=thanks druv, kisine specially mere lie recommend kia tha, I had to look beautiful for him
Druv blushed. Suddenly everyone began to shout "manik agaya" "manik and nandini, they are looking perfect" "wohh what a lovely couple"
Fab 4 understood manik and nandini had arrived. Aliya was fuming in anger. Druv holded her hand and gestured her through his eyes to calm down. Aliya nodded. MaNan made there entry. Both walking side by side. Manik was saying hii to everyone while nandini was just smiling. Cabir smiled seeing them together. Seeing fab4 together manik walked up to them and nandini followed him
C=welcome you two
M=hi guys
Aliya made an angry face and looked the other side
Dr=hi manik, kaisa ha
M=um okay buddy.
Dr=hi nandini
N=hii
C=nandini u look beautiful in blue, ha na manik??
Manik and nandini exchanged looks. Aliya was cursing nandini in her mind
C=are dekh kya raha ha?? She's wearing ur favourite colour, atleast give her a complement
M=ab wohhh...ma principal sir se milke ata hu
Manik excused himself from there. Mukti druv and cabir also followed him. Aliya came to nandini
A=so, tum manik ko impress karneki koshish karrahiho??
N=ma esa kuch nahi karrahihu, mujhe nahi pata tha ke blue unka favourite colour ha
A=oh just shut up, and stop acting, yeh sab mere samne nahi chalega and let me tell u one thing , u better make it clear, tum jitni bhi koshish karlo manik mujhe chorkar tumhe kabhi nahi dekhega cause tumme dekne layak kuch nahi haa... samjhi??
Nandini had tears in her eyes
M=aliya
Both turned around and saw manik and cabir standing. Manik walked up to nandini
M=just stop it
A=manik tum mujhe chup karneko kehraheho, this girl..
M=usse blame mat karo, shes not doing anything wrong
A=right ma to bhul gayi thi ajkal tumhe iski koi galti nazar nahi ati... pata nahi tumne kya jadu kia ha mere manik par u bit..
M=enough aliya
This time manik's voice was a bit more louder, even cabir was surprised. Nandini clutched manik's arm , manik looked at her, she was scared listening to his loud voice, manic controlled his anger. Aliya left the place in ager. Mukti and druv who were standing behind and seeing this followed aliya
C=nandini, you go and touch up urself. Washroom right side me ha, hum yahi wait karte ha
Nandini nodded and went to the washroom. Cabir came to manic and gave him a side hug.
M=shes being ridiculous. I mean ..
C=I know, but tu aliya ko chor nandini ke bareme soch, iss party me nandini ko bohot kuch sunneko shayed milega. U need to handle it for her cause u know wo
M=kuch nahi bolegi, sab tolerate karegi
C=that's right. U better be there for her.
Manik nodded.
