it was evening, all went to their respective home. nandini was thinking why manik didnt try to talk to her.

nandini's POV

ye aaj manik ko kya ho gaya, he didnt even try to talk to me... bandar kahikaaa... ek to pehle khud galti karta he, phir sirf sorry bolke sochta he me use maaf kar dungi.. kabhi nahi...

par usne aaj baat nahi ki, ab wo baat nahi karega to..?

nahi nandini he will come, tu tension kyun leti ho...

par agar nahi aaya to.??

nandini: ufff nandini... kuch aur bhi socha kar... pura din manik manik... so ja ab...

and she covered her face with her blanket...

next for few days, manik just come to practise and left. he only come for the practise. he do jamming and after that he left from there and went to office. he was completely ignores nandini. where she was like really confused, because some days before he was running after her, and now he was just completely ignoring her. she was angry, sad, frustrated at the same time.

now it has been reached on peak, she was hell angry.

they practise for a while and manik was about to leave.

manik: chalo guys, we did enough practise. the event is on day after tomorrow so, kal sirf ek baar practise and then we'll rock.

he said smilingly. all said in unison YOOO...!!!!

manik: chalo to fir kal milte he... byee...

he turned around and started to walk.

nandini almost shouted: manik...

manik turned around with a "what" look.

nandini: how can u walk out like this.?

manik: matlab.? what r u trying to say?

nandini stammered: aaa wooo, wooo magazine... haa wo magazine is here soo... have a look. you sponsored us naa soo u have to look.. right guys...?

all nodded.

manik: me kal dekh lunga. waise bhi wo kal launch hone wala he.

he again started to walk.

nandini: manik...

manik turned around with a pissed look: kya he nandini..?

nandini made a cute pout: kya he manik..???

manik just smiled inside, she was acting cute... but he didnt show, coz of his and cabir's plan.

manik: fine... lets go.. come on guys...

nandini: nahi un logo kam he.. goo guys back to work. tum chalo na.

manik: ok...

they reached in library, manik was looking around, but there was no one.

manik: ye aaj kya he k library itni shant.

nandini: manik malhotra library is a silent place, dont u know.?

manik stopped : dont act smart... okk...?

nandini: fine... wo kal event he sooo, mam ne sabko holiday diya he... sooo..

manik: fine, show me one magazine, i'll look and leave. bahot kam he.

he started to walk nandini also walked behind him. they reached near a table where the magazine was placed.

manik took the magazine and started reading it. there was a big article by his father and on the second page his father's big photo, a smile came on his face. nandini noticed it.

nandini: aaj kal kuch zyada hi kaam he na office me..?

manik just hmmed to her.

nandini: isi liye time nahi milta kisi se baat karne k liye.?

manik look at her: koi baat karne "INTERESTED" nahi he...

nandini looked down. manik again started reading magazine.

manik: waise magazine is quite good. i really like it, dad ko bhi pasand aayega i am sure.

nandini hmmed. manik put the magazine on the table.

manik: chalo ab maine magazine dekh liya, so i take a leave.

he started to walk, but someone hold his hand, manik turned. nandini was holding his hand, but she was looking down, manik bent down a little to see what is she hiding on her face.

he saw a lone tear in her eyes. manik come closer to her.

manik: kya hua.?

nandini still looking down: kuch nahi.

manik made her look up: dikh raha he...

he touched her tear: too ye kya he.?

nandini: manik tum itne dino se mujhe ignore kar rahe ho.. kyun..?

manik laughed: i thought u only want that.

nandini didnt say anything, she was just looking at him.

manik: nandini tumne hi kaha tha, u dont wanna talk, u dont need my sorry and maine kaha tha, i will not come behind u.

nandini: janti hu, but we can be friends... tum itni achhe se sabse baat kar rhe ho, yes maine kaha tha i dont need your sorry, because sirf ek sorry kaafi nahi he jo tumne kiya uske liye. and yes i dont want u to run behind me. i just want a clear relation of friends. kya hum waise nahi reh sakte jaise pehle the. ek dusre ke bahot achhe dost.?

manik was just looking at her: friends..?? (he looked in another way) fine only friends na..? okk ..

nandini could see his anger on his face: manik firse gussa.?

manik looked at her angrily: to kya karu me... u have no idea, how i spent this much days, without talking to u, i thought u'll realise my importance in your life dammit, but noo i was wrong... i to only "friend" for u right... u know what nandini... lets not be friends too... mujhe tumse ab koi baat nahi karni he... jabse tumse mila hu, my life become a rollercoaster ride, har roz kuch naya meri life me.. kabhi bahot sari khushi to kabhi bahot sara gam. waise bhi ab event 2 din me khatam ho jayega sooo... lets chuck it.

nandini was in tears by the time and just looking at him, he turn around and started to leave

manik stopped and turn around: 2 din nandini, and then u and i, we'll be strangers again.

nandini also saw a tear in his eyes and anger too... she was standing there still and manik left her. she sit on the floor folding her legs and her hands around it. she was crying. just then cabir came there, he saw nandini, he ran towards her.

cabir: nandini what happened..? tum yaha ro rahi ho, waha manik in anger left... kya hua..?

nandini just hugged him: cabir...(she sobbed)

cabir console her and hugged her back: shhh... nandu...

nandini: cabir, sab khatam ho gaya... meri wajah seee... sab...

she again sobbed...

cabir: its okk nandini, everything will be fine...

nandini: nahi cabir tum samj nahi rahe ho... sirf 2 din cabir, then me and manik will become again strangers.

cabir: aisa kya ho gaya..?

nandini narrated him whole story..

cabir put a hand on his head: hee bhagwan tum dono na pagal ho...

nandini made a pout: cabir iss waqt mazak nahi... its serious.

cabir: wahi to me keh raha hu nandu.. be serious. ab to serious ho jao. and what is this friends drama..? me bhi janta hu, tum bhi janti ho aur manik bhi, u 2 cant be just friends...

to angry to hoga hi naa... samaj jao nandini, isse pehle bahot der ho jaye. he loves u a lot. dont let it goo...

they both came out of library and again started work. an usual evening went.

now it was a new morning fresh start. today is the presentation day. all reached there by 6 pm. all students wear formal clothes, a good presentation given by some famous person. all were clapping. now its time to launch the magazine. nyonika came on stage.

nyonika: thank you so much respective people, we are blessed to have u guys here in our campus. my students worked really hard for this and now its time to launch the most awaited magazine, and as an incharge of this event, miss nandini murthy, please come on the stage and do the honours.

nandini came on stage and took the mike: thank you so much ma'am. and yes a lot hard work we all put in this event to make it successful, but without someone this will not happen, so i invite them to come on stage.

manik and his family just looking at her.

nandini: Mr. alok malhotra and his son Mr. manik malhotra, please come on stage and launch the magazine.

alok and manik smiled at each other and they walked to the stage.

alok: well thank you so much all of u, firstly i didnt bothered about this event, but when i see them work, i was pleased to see that the youth has very high potential. and yes i was agrred for it because of my son. yes he is my pride and everything. so me chahunga k ye magazine bhi wahi launch kare, soo nandini can u please give it to him.

nandini nodded and gave a magazine which was gift wrapped.

manik opened it and show it to them.

manik: thank you so much miss murthy, for such a wonderful event, i really enjoyed a lot working with all of u. and i think the bonds and relations i have made here, will last long forever.

nandini looked at him and mesmerizing him.

manik: soo thank u so much... and have wonderful evening. thank u thank u.

alok and manik came down the stage and started talking with some random people.

nandini: soo i request all our guest to proceed toward the dining room and have dinner. and yes tomorrow is a big day too, so i invite all of u, please join us tomorrow. thank u everyone.

they all had dinner and left for respective home.

now its a big day for all of them, cultural eve.

all were ready by 6 pm. mukti wore a knee length dress, alia wore a gown, navya wore a red salwar suit, and nandini wore a white beautiful anarkali (just like her birthday dress). guys too wore very good shirt and jeans.

all girls came together, and boys jaw dropped.

girls came near giggling.

navya: are muh bandh karlo. machhar chala jayega.

all laughed in unison and boys came back to their senses. manik was just looking at nandini, she was looking like an angel, simple yet beautiful. nandini noticed it and smiled to manik.

cabir: are aaj to sabhi badi achhi lag rahi he...

nandini: thank u cabir.

manik: haaa... and waise bhi aaj to mere sath tum logo ka last day he soo.

cabir and mukti interrupted: what...???

cabir: last day matlab.?

manik: cabir, ye event tha isi liye daily aata tha... ab kya karunga. aur waise bhi office me bahot kaam he.

cabir: ooo Mr. serious... kya he... itni serious baate kyun kar raha he. lag raha he tu kal marne wala he.

manik whispered: aisa hi kuch samj lo.

dhruv: kya kaha tumne. ?

manik: kuch nahi. chale thodi der me performance he.

all went towards the crowd. manik noticed that nandini is not there, he was searching her. he went in the college.

manik: nandini... nandini.

nandini came from behind: manik...

manik turned around: tum yaha kya kar rahi ho...? thodi der me hamara performance he. chalo lets go.

nandini hold his hand: manik two mints please.

manik looked at her and she was looking so beautiful.

manik: hmm bolo, kuch kehna he.?

nandini came close to him: manik aaj me kaisi lag rahi hu.?

manik was just looking at her and mesmerizing: beautiful.

nandini blushed and looked down. manik made her look at him. he smiled at her innocence.

manik: nandini kuch kehna he.?

nandini: dekho manik, me janti hu tum bahot naraz ho mujhse, par.

manik interrupted: par kya.?

nandini: lets be friends.?

manik hands were on her shoulders, he suddenly stepped back.

nandini: manik pehle meri baat sun lo ek baar.

manik turn around and started walking.

nandini: manik please.

manik turn around: ab kya nandini..??? haaa..??? thak chuka hu me... tum nahi thakti..? ye friends ka drama, ruthna manana..? kabhi bhi hamari life normal nahi ho sakti kya.? ek din ham ek dusre k itne karib...(he stopped a bit and remembered their first date) and dusre din itne dur k hum jante hi nahi ek dusre ko. phir ye ignorance, ab ye wapis friends ka natak.

nandini: tumhe ye sab natak lag raha he. ek to galti tum karo, me phir bhi ek chance de rahi hu na..? tumne to wo bhi nahi diya tha..???

manik hold her shoulders and pull her towards him: ek chance. are nahi chahiye aisa chance. jisme aur dard mile mujhe. and haa jo galti maine ki thi na uski enough punishment tum mujhe already hi de chuki ho... ab aur kitna hurt karna chahti ho.?

nandini: hurt...?? maine tumhe hurt kiya..? seriously manik..??? us din tumne mujhe chhoda tha ... maine nahi...

manik jerked her: fine nandini, maine chhoda tha naa... thik he, to ye chance to me deserve hi nahi karta phir kyun... pass aati ho, phir dur chali jati ho... chahti kya ho tum..??

nandini: tum kabhi nahi samjoge.

manik: haa haa kabhi nahi samjungaaa... aur tum bhi kabhi nahi samjogi...

he sat on his knees: thak gaya hu nandini, please ab bas kar do. ye last performance and bas, i'll be away from u... far far away.

nandini was in tears: manik kyun aisa kar rahe ho...

manik: yahi me tumse puchna chahta hu, kyun aisa kar rahi ho.?

manik stood up: ab bass bahot ho gaya, kal se na me tumhe janta hu, aur nahi tum mujhe.

he left from there, nandini was crying.

nandini's POV

wo wapis mujhe akela chhod ke chala gaya. phirse.. tum kyun aise ho manik, samjte kyun nahi ho, jaldbazi me liye gaye faisle bahot dard dete he. isi liye dhire jana chahti hu, par tum nahi samjoge.

she was crying, but she was unaware that someone overheard their conversation, the person came in front of her, he eyes were popped out.

nandini wiped her tears: aap... yaha..?

person: ha me yaha.

nandini: Mr. malhotra, wo event bahar he lets go.

alok: nandini, kuch baat kar sakta hu betaa.?

nandini nodded. he make her sit.

alok: tumhe pata he nandini, manik. wo bachha he abhi, ha wo zaroor height me bada ho gaya he, par wo abhi bhi mere liye mera chhota beta he. use na jaldbazi me faisle lene ki bahor gandi aadat he. par jo faisla usne tumhe lekar kiya he. uske liye i m proud of him.

nandini: matlab

alok: matlab janta hu wo tumse pyar karta he, aur ye bhi janti hu k tum bhi usase utna hi pyar karti ho, phir kyun usase alag rehna chahti ho.?

nandini: uncle me janti hu, par me ye rishta dhire se aage badhana chahti hu, taki phir ham dono regret na kare.

alok: koi regret nahi karega. trust me...

nandini: uncle aap ye..

alok: kyunki me chahta hu, ki tum hamare ghar me aao...

nandini blushed.

alok laughed: achha ab me tum dono ko sath me dekhna chahta hu, gana gate hue. chalo ab.

they came outside and joined the crowd. in no time nyonika announced the most awaited performance. they all took their place. but nandini was not there.

cabir: ye nandini kaha he..?

manik: chuck it, hum uske bina gayenge.

they all settled...

music started...

(manik sang with full emotions)

(his eyes were closed, he was remembering all the moments spent togather with nandini)

(all turned to their right side and saw nandini was singing closing her eyes, manik just looked at her, a smile came on his lips)

(manik looked at and nandini also looked at him)

(nandini sang and circled around manik)

(manik danced with her a little and left her)

(nandini walked toward other side stepping back )

(manik sit on his knees, he sit like he was tired from all this drama)

Phir se jeene ki ek tu hi wajah

(nandini came near him and sat on her knees)

(manik sang looking at her, nandini put a hand on his cheecks)

(they rested their heads on each other)

Hum mauj, humnasheen ab hon zinda

they stayed like that for sometime.

nandini whispered: I Love You Manik...!!!!

manik hugged her: I Love You too...!!!!

they were hugging each other, a round of applause disturbed their hug, they both were still kneed down, so they stood up, and all bowed down towards the audience.

all things gone right that night. nandini and manik are now togather. their love for each other now on other level. alia and dhruv are getting engaged soon. navya's marriage also coming soon.

after that nandini and manik's parents too thought that manik and nandini too need a committed relationship, so they also getting engaged soon...

all went good, and perfect. finally manik ko uski nandini mil gayi...
