He is like that child in school who pulls your pigtails to get your attention. And he will do it, again and again and again, then if you fall during play time, he will make himself fall and then sit and laugh with you or let you laugh at him so that you do not cry.

He never wants her to lose. If for her it is all about them performing together, and being together, for him it is about them being ok after this, with her unscathed.

He loves her smile. She loves his. He cannot see her innocence, her hope die. She cannot see him hurt, to take more than he can bear.

He loves her. She loves him.
