i think Dhruv was referring to covering him during the inter collage band competition where fab 5 lost due to technicality as Manik was helping Rishab and sings on the phone...

8.why manick is afraid of darkness?
in store room lock up scene he explains to Nandu he hates darkness at it reminds him the night of accident he and Dhruv are involved...
