No surprises there though...we knew this was coming!! The silver lining...the more trouble life throws at them...the closer Manik and Nandini will get!! Cause one thing is assured, in good times they might or might not be together but in bad times...they are definitely ...one!! A tear out of her eye, he will be there to wipe and a frown on his face, she will be there to caress!!
So the war is on...between Manik and Pandit...things finally coming to head!! Pandit wants him out and Manik provided an excuse on a platter. In jumps Nyonika, adding fuel to the fire!! The flash of sheer satisfaction and pleasure when Pandit points out that Manik was making life difficult for Nandini...sadistic pleasure indeed!! She foresaw this, planned this and now the joy of seeing her plans finally coming full circle...every bit of the puzzle falling in the right place!! Nyonika is in seventh heaven, seeing Manik fume, seeing his silent fury...she knows another big mistake is on its way!! She rubs it in, right in his face...Pandit has his eye on his girl and there is nothing and great and almighty Manik Malhotra can do about it!! Another guy is throwing Manik out, so he could be fresh with his Nandu...!! Once again...love this master player!! She is such a devious delight!! It never ceases to amaze me how these two can push each other's buttons, they know each other so well...She knows how to ignite and he knows not to trust!! He knows exactly what she is doing ..messing up his mind...setting him up...what a waste!!
Round and round the mulberry bush the kids play!! He doesn't want to leave her...he fears, he worries, he instinctively knows the guy is not to be trusted with his innocent girl and yet he rejoices in front of her. Letting her know that she was losing, and the concert she was hoping for, banking on..is looking more and more hazy. How he loves to needle her...to elicit a reaction, a response from her!! He points out with unholy glee how his leaving will solve all problems...his so called hate will win!!
And how she has learnt to retaliate...pay him back in his coin!! She has learnt to speak his language...has slowly but surely learnt to play his games!! She doesn't miss a beat when she coolly informs him that she knows his next move!! He will move heaven and earth to get back to her, she knew he will not leave her alone with Pandit cause he suspects his motives...what confidence...what trust!! And what irony...that the lack of faith that ripped them apart..is so obvious and evident in their every word and action!! She knows that whatever might be the words, whatever be the faade, underneath it all...he loves her to the ends of the earth!!
He tries to warn her, show her the ugly side of human nature...but all in vain!! The innocent, the sheltered, the righteous and the idealist Nandini just cannot see the darkness under the surface!! She is too pure for her own good and Manik does not hold it against her!! He knows that she has not been exposed to the harsh realities of life, like he has been...and so understands that she will fail to see the corruption!! He did not even expect her to do so...it was a last ditch effort which he knew would fail!! On one hand his desperation increases, on the other her hopes are on the rise!! His fears are magnifying and strangely, her sprits are lifting too!! He tries to hold on...to stop her from trouble...and that very hold of fear, sets Nandini's fears aside!! He wants to catch her before she falls...and she is ready to close her eyes and fall..all in the faith that he will catch her..He can't let her go in harm's way and she knows he will follow cause he senses danger...What irony is life!
Everywhere else the storm brews...Cabir being the wise forecaster that sees it all!! He senses the heart break that awaits two friends, especially an innocent and unaware Manik!! He sees that Aliya's insensitivity will rip the two best of friends apart!! He sees the pain, the disillusionment, the clash of the egos, the rift that awaits a true blue relationship!! He tries...and will keep on trying but he knows whats coming!! The insecurities, the jealousies all coming to the fore, while he watches helplessly!! Now Cabir knows how heavy the burden of responsibility that Manik has been carrying for so many years!! It was never easy Cabir...to keep five individuals together...tightly bound through thick and thin!! Manik did it beautifully and now its your turn!! Can't help but reflect on the Cabir that we see today...life's pains have turned him into such a wise and mature and strong individual!! Life might be a bitch...but can't deny that she knows how to create masterpieces!!
A scene that stays...Manik's introspection!! Hats off...he is still trying to use logic..still trying to be fair..to look at his instincts from the window of reason!! His heart screams for her safety yet he is giving his mind and Nandu's response a chance!! He respects her opinion that much!! Even in the storm of fear that seizes him...he is trying to use her calm, her reasoning, her trust!! He is giving her the benefit of doubt...now that's faith for you!!
All in vain, Manik's fear, his instincts...once again proven right!! You see its experience...he has years of ugliness under his belt!! He can sense evil, having spent his whole life under its shadow!! Uncannily...he knows the difference between right and wrong cause all he has seen is wrong!! Wish he was wrong...how I hated seeing that creep touch that simple girl!! How my skin crawled...how repulsive and disgusting..and it promises to get worst!! Nandini..girl...please listen to him!! He knows the bad...while you identify the good!! He thrives in the dark while you shine in the light!! He battles the wrong while you fight for the right...together you are the ying yang!!
Mukti...the unfortunate one..is again on the brink!! Pushed to her limits by life again, she is ready to fall ...luckily this time round...her friends read her pain, sense her desperation!! More trouble ...more strife..awaits these friends...but isn't that when they shine the best...
Tomorrow...the storm hits!! And Manik will be in the eye of the storm...yet again!! Pulled in different directions...friends or love!! His worries over Nandini...his fears for Mukti...his heartbreak over Dhruv...all pounding into him at the same time!! Torn and shredded...he is in for another beating!! But important lessons are learnt this way!! Life teaches in strange ways lessons that shall never be forgotten!! We know he is a fighter and a survivor...
MaNan...tomorrow they stand together...united...shoulder to shoulder...cause thats what they do best...love each other...hold each other tight...through the turbulence and ride the storm...
