Their hands tell a story of their own. And that has been so consistent from Day One. We like to say pretty stuff like their story was written in stars and fireflies, but it's really their hands, and all these myriad ways that their fingers find each other in every situation. In joy, in sorrow. In anger, in peace. In quiet conversations or in the middle of a raging mudfight. In togetherness or in separation. When they were strangers and now when they are each other's world. Always.

To anyone who's been watching KY2 with some degree of attention, it must be pretty evident by now how important their 'hands' are to this story. Their first touch when he saved her fireflies. The way she observes his fingers nervously tapping the table even though he's commanding her to smile. The ice-breaker between them during the first break scene, when they are weighed down by worries and desperately need someone to talk to. The way their fingers intertwine when they have their first intimate moment on Diwali, under the stars she'd gifted him. Musicana night, when she can't bear to even look at him and her tears are killing him, they stand side by side in silence, unable to talk to each other, and yet their hands brush together and leave this awareness of what they truly have. Her mad desperation to save his hand from being amputated, so much so that she makes herself walk away from him but can't stay away. Him shoving her hand away in agony because he's so angry, hurt, and scared that she doesn't really trust him, that he really might be the Monster. And then there are ones like we saw yesterday. How his fingers jolt, and then automatically curl into hers when she puts her hand over his. Their hands really say it all, even when they can't make themselves look into each other's eyes, let alone talk.
