DAY 13 - To Protect!

Nandini: "Manik it was an accident..."

Manik: "Toh avoid these accidents dammit!"

No no Nandu... that's not what he meant. He meant let these accidents occur, but only when he's around. The only accidents you are allowed to be a part of are those that occur with him, the only colours that are welcome in your life are those gifted to you by your Manik. And how can we forget that utterly beautiful smile of yours. The smile that is becoming the reason for someone's diverted intentions. The smile that is embedding the seeds of false hope in someone else's heart. That smile only belongs to one person; your Manik Malhotra.

Starting from the start; his feet were dancing amongst his friends.. But his heart was not only dancing but singing too for his one and only love. The way his eyes never let go of her for even a single minute. The sparkle they possessed, spoke of the elated inner-emotions of his heart. The emotions that he had been trying way too hard to mask. The emotions that were flowing boundlessly today. She was happy. She was safe. And she was in front of his eyes. Exactly what he had always wanted and will always wish for her. He already knew that these colours, these water stains... they were all temporary. But the colours that her smile was infusing in every inch of his soul were the colours that were going to last forever. They were the colours of her love. The colours of his love. The colours of their love. In utmost joy, he sculled a glass of thandai as if to get in the mood. The party had just gotten bigger and better. But he only wanted to play with her. He wanted to gift her her next surprise. And so he drenched her in the droplets of his warmth, care, excitement, relief, love, delight and thankfulness. He seemed to be on top of the world during the whole song segment. Her smile always showed him the doors to heaven. And then when he couldn't resist the distance of a few meters between them, he rocked up with a glass at her doorsteps. He knew she wasn't going to drink it and she knew it was his excuse to simply complete the tasks on his agenda today; 'Play holi with and only with Nandini'. But like she had proven before, he may play it dirty but she played it smart.

And splash!

That scene was rather beautiful because they were so close to each yet so far. The bonds of their heart, their soul was the means of their communication. When his eyes asked the question, her eyes answered him word-to-word. And when her grin challenged his notion to play games with her, his smile bowed down to her and accepted that she had won this round. Rare is such affection, when the actions to be carried out are highly depended on their ability to make the other one smile. Unique is such attachment, when even amidst so many people, the eyes of the heart have the gift of only contently watching that special one. Mesmerising is such love, where the intensity of one's happiness or pain is directly proportional to the other's. It would be incomplete on my behalf if I didn't mention that this Holi has gradually transformed the "you" and "me" into an "us". The Manik and Nandini of Manan are slowly being integrated within themselves once again that very soon, there will no need of any kind of space in them nor between their names. They will become one again.

Nyonika's mind games showed their reverse effect again today. I almost felt like at one point to say to her that "sweetheart... you should consider retirement", but then I decided that she's turning out to be the much needed catalyst in Manan's chemical reaction so she may as well hang around a little more in order to witness the fruits of her own doing. Whilst we blame her for being the core reason of our Manan's temporary split, we must also give her the credit for the Manan we will get to cherish in the time ahead. The Manan who will no longer take each other for granted, the Manan who will have learnt the importance of communication in their relationship, the Manan who will have realised that what they once thought was a want of each other, is in fact the need of each other in their lives.

Oh just how my Manik's anger flared upon seeing his Nandu drenched in colour that wasn't sprayed by him. How the green-eyed Manik awoke upon seeing her laugh the smile of his dreams, with someone else. There wasn't only a pure flow of jealousy within him today, no. There was his need of protecting her too. The need of sheltering her from any wrong-intentions that Panditji may be possessing. His needful instinct of becoming her shadow returned once again today. And this time, this instinct has come to stay. His self-invitation into the conversation of panditji and Nandini was his jealousy's act. But when he quite fearlessly questions Panditji; about his interests and repeats himself by saying "Are you sure?" ;that was his instinct of protection questioning. How he was trying so hard to control the anger fuming inside him. He never seems to surprise me with the sixth sense he has for his Nandu. Because when it comes to Nandini, it's not only about protecting her life or making her smile or ensuring her to be safe and absolute pain-free. He does it all for himself. For his peace of mind.

Nandini: "Manik why do you annoy him so much? Dekho phirse tumne unko gussa dila diya."

Manik: "Aur usne mujhe"

The war is on. And this time, Manik's true love will fight the battle. His mind and heart will have to join hands to protect the one who is more valuable than his own life. There is a fraction of jealousy involved, yes, but his fire to save her from falling into the trap that lays in front of her is certainly more over-powering. Her innocence, her blind faith and her sincerity towards others is being manipulated once again. Last time Nyonika had won because he had let her win. But not this time. This time he's not going to leave his Nandu alone for even a single second. He will fight for her this time. Fight for the simplicity that had him floored. It's his time to prove his true love, to fulfil all her promises. Be it nyonika or panditji, if they want to grab hold of Nandini, they'll have to face him first.

The episode would've been somewhat incomplete if we didn't get to witness Manik make up for his lost chance of drenching Nandini in his colours. And when he did get the chance, he left no leaf unturned. He didn't just drench but he bathed her in colours. He wanted to leave no spec of white, no room for anyone else to take his right away from him. And so they rolled and stuggled and wrestled and coloured until they were intertwined in each other's colours and heartbeats. He proved again that he's the first and last person who has the sole right of colouring her, making her laugh, fighting with her. It was his heart's message. Just like he left no room for anyone else to smear any sort of colour on her clothes, similarly there is no room for a third person in their world, in their lives. She was his. His life, his heartbeat, his true love and he would go to any extent to shield her from any danger that meant he was putting his own heartbeat in danger.

Well it seems like that Holi will be coming to an end soon and I'm sure Manik is eagerly waiting for it to end now as well because he has a new agenda on his mind. Just like today, it'll be interesting to see how Manik's mind and heart collaborate to fulfill all those promises he's made to Nandini and set out on this endeavor to save her from the not-so-pleasant intentions of panditji. At the same time, whilst I like Dhruv speaking out the frustration that has been bottled up inside him for quite some time, it's a little disappointing to see that seems to have developed some sour feelings for Manik and the brotherly relationship they share is heading on a rather rocky road.. After all that Manik's done for him, it is quite heart-trenching. Just a thought... if some differences arise between Manik and Dhruv, I feel nandini should clear up that negativity. Dhruv also needs to know that Manik sacrificed his love for him and we know our Manik will never confess that so perhaps Dhruv should find out about that from Nandini. Or maybe it can be Cabir too seeing now he knows about Dhruliya's rather confused relationship.

Hope you all enjoyed today's episode!

Stay smiling :)

DAY 12! - Colour and run!

Nandini: waise...toh...yeh sab tumne mere liye kiya?
Manik : yes... Actually I did this because...
Nandini: Because?
Manik: Because...
Nandini Because...?
Manik: Because I love to see you angry!
Oh Manik my dearest Manik...perhaps that's not exactly what you wanted to say. Perhaps you added an extra word in there and what you were actually supposed to say was; "Because I love to see you!" Or maybe that's not it either. Maybe there is in fact more than one word that is unnecessarily used in this sentence. I bet what you actually wanted to say was; "Because I love you!"

Oh goodness gracious me. Just what a beautiful feeling love is. And when two love birds can see nothing beyond their need for each other, it enhances the emotion to such an extent that even the mind forgets how it's meant to function and the heart forgets why it's meant to beat. You only remember the name of that loved one. Their essence flows with every blood drop in your body and their memories flood every inch of your soul. Such is the beautiful bond of my Manan.

I would warn you all before you progress with this post any further. Beware of falling in love with the feeling of love! Beware of falling in love with Manik. Beware of falling in love with Nandini. Beware of falling in love with Manan!

So many questions were asked by her today. And he didn't stumble upon any of them. He answered all of them. If not with words... Then gestures completed his answers. "Nandini, this is just the start up... You have no idea." Oh just how eagerly my baby wanted to tell her that he did all of this, just for her. He left her to solve a riddle at this point. Was he really referring to colours? Because if that's what she thought. Our nandu was missing our Manik's real intentions today. He didn't want to shower her with just colours today. He wanted to drench her in the rain of his love. He wanted her to experience his love. True love. The same true love that she claimed Mukhbi to be really lucky to have. The same true love that she had indirectly asked for him to return into her life. Into their lives. And here he was today. Fulfilling every wish of hers. Fulfilling every promise that he had ever made to her. The promise of always protecting her. And so he did when she first entered the pool. The promise of never letting her fall, and so he did by scooping her up in his arms whilst exiting the pool. The promise of never making her cry, and so far he had only seen sparkles of trust, faith, love, care, worry and happiness in her eyes. No tears.

When we refer to traditions, we often think of them being irreversible. Unchangeable. Permanent. But mind you, ever since Manik Malhotra had his first encounter with his lady love, it's sort of become a tradition of him to break all the previously indented traditions. It started off by breaking the tradition of always coming to college late. All Nandini needed to do was flaunt her most precious smile for him and we saw him turning up to college at 7:30am sharp to discuss the rather forgotten case of Dhruv and Rishab's attacks. (I sincerely hope they concentrate on this in the future actually). Next came the tradition of begging for forgiveness. There was once a time where no matter whose fault it was, the fear of Manik would compel the other person to fearfully stutter a sorry. But when Nandini decided to turn her back onto him after the sacrifice revelation, his need of forgiveness awoke like never before.
And here we are today, witnessing another tradition that has been faltered.
"Manik... What reason do you have to break a twelve-year long tradition of having holi party at SPACE and organising it here...at home?" Ummm Nyonika, isn't it the same reason why you quite slyly manipulated your own son's life a few days ago? Nandini. His reason was, is and always will be Nandini. His love is such that no tradition, no custom can ever obstruct his path of fulfilling his every promise to her. His care is such that if and when pain makes its way towards Nandini, he will go to any extent to destruction that even pain will fear its return near his love. His passion is such that if someone tells him that true love means sacrifice, he will happily sacrifice his existence for her. He felt no need to justify his actions to Nyonika. He felt no need to even talk to her anymore. There may have been a time where out of formality he would have spoken a few words with her but not today. Not anymore. She was the reason of all his pains. She was the reason of all of his Nandini's tears. She was the real culprit of the distanced amidst them. And today he had promises to fill. The promises he had made to her and himself. That he'd always keep her safe. Keep her smiling.

I bet his heart melted just as mine did when she asked him with such innocence if she could drench him in water. It was so endearing to see her testing to see if he would abruptly burst at her. The way she cautiously, step by step positions herself in the most effective position for the prank she was just about to play. Her heart already apologizing for the action she was going to perform. And then she fired! He let her wholeheartedly drench him knowing he'll get his share of fun later. And then once his eyes fluttered open, he realized she was no naive. If he played holi dirty... She played it smart. It'll be unfair of me to not quote that love was in fact in the air today. She ran in the hope that he'll catch her and he followed in the hope that she'll stop for him.

And indeed she stopped for him too, and he caught her as well. At that moment, time seemed to have dozed off. No nose remained except for the music of their heartbeats, no views remained apart from the depths of their love they could see in each others' eyes. The way he so rightfully wipes off the colour of his face with her chunni made her heartbeat quicker. He just knew the perfect ways of claiming his right on her commodities, her heart and simply her. She knew he had her now and it would be difficult to escape once he locked her in his arms. But she tried anyway. And as expected, she was unsuccessful. There was no way he was done with her just yet. He had just shown a glimpse of his love yet. The mystery of the depth of this love was yet still to be unveiled. And for that he needed her to be as close to him as possible. So he bound her to himself with the same chunni which was colored in their love. He knew that knot was the strongest. It was unbreakable. The scene that followed soon after was my utmost favourite. Their conversation. Today there was no mind vs heart battle. Today it was just Nandini, Manik and their love. After what seems for ages my heart felt a sense of relief seeing my Manan converse like the old Manan. The Manan that knew there was an un-named feeling between them. The Manan who knew that living without each other wasn't just difficult but impossible. The Manan that knew that their hearts were no longer their own, but rather each other's.
His cockiness, that one raised eyebrow and that absolutely to-die-for grin, balanced with just the right amount of teasing from her behalf, along with her intelligent remarks and innocent eyes made it a perfect Manan moment. The way she rightfully claimed him to lie to her about coming here and with the ease he confesses to her that no in fact he only had to request to her chachi was just so...so... Heart melting? Like I don't even have the perfect words to describe it. There was no struggle from his behalf of whom to listen to and neither was she hesitant in expressing her right on him today. But like a bumpy road, even the road of love has speed breakers. And as for Manan's case, that speed-breaker is Nyonika. In fact her name is enough. I honestly won't try and express whether Nandini's act of mentioning Nyonika today held a valid point or not because I feel there was a bit of both. Yes, Nandini became the reason of Manik's anger once again. Wounds stung again, they perhaps even bled a little. But the pain didn't last long. My nandu knew how to calm him down as well as how to soothe the pain, And so she did kiss it better with the change of conversation. It was a cherishing moment to see Manik simulate the saying; 'let bygones be bygones.' It meant he has healed a little. And soon he was back to where he had started. Back to letting her experience the depth and intensity of his love.

No no wait I'm not yet finished. There is still a few points that I actually 'aweee'd at during the episode. The fab 5's surprise for Mukti was really and truly beautiful. The really are each other's biggest strengths and we hope they remain that way for the time to come. And omg cavya! Like cabir smeared totally with green and navya with her green chunni... Now that's definitely cute. And the way they made their entry at the party was such a hilarious treat. She really knows how get her work done lol. But honestly, I'm glad for their friendship. It's just so pure and joy-spreading. I still haven't been unable to exactly decode that look of panditji's when he sees Manan running around. But yeh like I had said in my earlier post. It just seems his guardianship seems to be kicking in for nandini seeing that he has some sort of a connection with her grandmother.

And as for the promo, it screamed more masti, more holi, more water and undoubtedly more love!

See you guys around!

Stay smiling :)

DAY 14! - The unnamed love!

"You care for me... and you were worried... and I'm happy..."

So finally Tuesday arrived, and let me just say what an episode it brought along. We saw her smile, and we saw his face light up too. We saw her tease him, and we witnessed his loss of words too. We saw her dive in for a hug, and we were the spectators of how he gave up on his resisting too. The battle has finally begun and let me warn you all, it's not just a battle. It's war. A war that he will fight to protect his love. A war which will make him realise his love. A war which will result him to name this relationship the name it actually deserves. The name of true love.
Manan made quite a delayed appearance in today's episode. But when they made the appearance, there were no complaints from my behalf. Every scene evoked bliss, joy and delight. The bliss of seeing my Manik's sixth sense dragging him to the dark corridors of the college only to see his Nandini. The joy of seeing my Nandini excitedly chirping at the thought of her Manik being jealous upon seeing her with someone else. The delight of seeing my Manan's peaceful expressions as they stood there, with such serenity; wrapped in each other's arms.

She had tried her very best to get hold of his phone during the night. But to her dismay, she was unsuccessful. Her face had suddenly filled with worry, with automatic concern... "I hope woh theek ho". How she just flew out of her bed and peeped through her window upon hearing the mere sound of a horn. How she utterly wanted to feel his presence once again. To ask him if he was okay. How she just wished she could see him again if not now, then soon. Whilst my Nandu eventually would've fallen asleep in the hope that she might get to see a glimpse of him in the awakening of a new tomorrow, my Manik found it too stressful to sleep the night. Oh how absolutely adorable he looked whilst he tried to convince himself that it was her life, her decision, her wish to do whatever suits her. But the mind seems to have fallen weak these days. And that's when his heart called out that her life is your life. I personally absolutely love the scene when he's about to walk off right after his phone call with Cabir but then takes a few steps back. Again, it was his heart knocking on the door informing him that you can't just walk away from yourself. You can't just walk away from the undeniable truth that she matters to you more than anything else in the world. Oh how his struggle with himself always seems to lighten up my face because that is the time his love takes the forms of various emotions such as worry, care, restlessness, frustration, protectiveness. It was burning him, it was killing him. Just the mere thought of knowing she would be alone with panditji and that too at a rather odd timing. How he wished he could simply grab her by the shoulders and shake her to make her realise that the path of blind faith she was treading on seemed to be leading to an unknown direction ahead. How he wished that she was in front of him at that moment and he could yell at her for being so heedless with her decision. "Matlab... how can she be so.. so reckless? Uss pandit ne paanch baje bol diya aur wo... usne haan bhibol diya... like..." His stuttering returned, and so did Manik's heart. He knew at that moment what he needed to do.

Ever since my nandu had stepped into college in the early hours of today's morning, there was only one name humming continuously in her mind, in her heart, in her soul and on her lips. "Manik". Be it when the lights unexpectedly switched off or the pre-rehearsal meditation therapy... her focus and her thoughts were fixed on him. Be it her conscious or subconscious mind... both of them wanted to only think about him. And well we all know that if our Nandu really wants something, how can her Manik ever deny her from that wish. And little did she know that there was an escort waiting to drop her off to her Manik. The mouse.

Oh what a sight that was! She screamed her way through the sleeping corridors of the college only to find that the mouse was no real. The only thing which was real in this whole situation was his love for her, his care for her, his need to protect her. She stood there, arms crossed, eyebrows raised already knowing that he had only one reason to come to college this early. She was the reason. Yet she still questioned him "You have an early morning flight...? and you've come to college early...? Isme... connection kya hai?" Ooft that struggle was real... how was my Manik supposed to say to her that he had come here just for her. How was he meant to confess that his need to see her safe and sound had dragged him to the college premises even before she had arrived. He knew she had him trapped from all corners this time. He knew she wouldn't buy his lies so instead he became the interrogator. And when he realised she wasn't going to be able to recognise the bigger picture of such early morning rehearsals, he snapped! "Problem hai!"
His eyes poured out the frustration that had been boiling inside him upon seeing someone else eyeing his lady love. His voice raised an octave as he tried to reason with Nandini of the rather unreasonable demands of panditji. From the time he was supposedly "checking her out" to the candle light rehearsal he had organised minutes ago... his heart confessed each of its bothers. It professed each and every reason for his previous sleepless night.
Nandini: "Ohhh so Mr. Manik Malhotra is jealous... woh bhi pandit se?
Manik: Bulshit... what...?
Nandini: What nahi... this is woww! You're jealous!
Oh just the pure glory that lit up her face even in such darkness of surroundings. My nandu now knew that there was no turning back. She had already accepted him to be hers forever, and now not too long to go was the moment when he'll confess to her that she's his forever. When he'll officially welcome his shining star back in his days and nights. When he'll proudly claim that true love does exist. If he had a sixth sense to sense any danger lurking around her, she had the sixth sense to unveil the real manik behind his pretentious mask. He could hide his true feelings from himself. But he couldn't himself from her. After all, she was the meaning to everything in his life. She was the reason of his actions. She was the origin of his feelings. She was the hope of his true love. And as she elatedly announced... "Mr. Manik Malhotra... my hope is winning". His heart wanted to celebrate, to smile with utmost joy that she had taken his hope 5 steps closer towards victory today. But his mind stuck to being the adamant being it was.
My heart melted once again today as he gave her that look when she completes his sentence for him.He was so confident that he could delude her mind, confuse her mind too, just like his own mind was managing to do with him. But she proved him wrong. She proved to him once again that in this battle of hope vs hatred... she has the upper-hand because she has his heart. She has his hope. Oh how I was wishing that we get to see a Manan hug today and to my utter delight, the wish was fulfilled. She hugged onto him as tightly as she could in the hope that just like her, he would be able to hear the union of their heartbeats too. She wished for him to just listen once if not to his heart than to her heart which wanted nothing more than to just melt away in his arms. he struggled a little both physically and psychologically but her touch did its magic and he broke through all the dilemmas of the mind. He had missed her touch. It was evident in the quietude expressions of his face. She had taken him to a world even more beautiful than heaven. The world which only belonged to them. Manan's world.

"Nandini?!" The silence was broken. Their eyes opened up from their dream-world and the sound of an intruder brought them back to reality. The intruder who has also been trying to enter their world of dreams and wishes for each other. And after today's episode, it seems like he won't be giving up so easily. The string has been strummed, the nerve has been pressed, the question has been asked... "Main nandini ka guru hoon. But who are you to stop me?" It stung.. you bet it did Manik. Because he knows there is love, he knows there is hope, he knows that his past, present and future is all Nandini yet he's the reason for their divided paths. He's the reason for his own silence.
But like they say... a silence can often speak a thousand words. And this silence will become the reason for their reunion. This silence will heal the remainder of the wounds that remain unhealed. This silence will amplify the echos of Manan's heartbeat for the whole world to hear on the night of the fusion concert. This silence will give a name to the unnamed relationship that bounds them in this knot of togetherness. It's an indirect open-challenge. But little does panditji know my manik has a little bit of an advantage. My manik has the strengths of two hearts, the spirits of two souls and plenty of that "something" that panditji claims to be over between Manan. He has unconditional, unequivocal and unlimited love for his love, his life, his Nandini.

Now let's just take a detour to the very start of this episode where Dhruv's inner frustration erupted like a volcano today. And from what it seems like, this may be just the start. There seems to be more pain on its way for my Manik. Fresh wounds may bleed once again. His trust will perhaps shatter once again. But luckily my Manik won't be alone on this rocky road. My nandu, like every other time, will become the soothing balm of his wounds and will shine her light of positivity once again in his life. She will calm him when the time will come, wipe his tears when the need be and shield him from his own pain when hard times hit.

Oh also also... I can simply not conclude this post my mentioning that did anyone see the husband-wife type of poise and posture and interaction between Cabir and Navya today?? I don't know what ti was but damn that scene popped up and I couldn't help but foresee a future for them two that will never exist. I swear there jodi would've actually been one that we would've enjoyed just as much as Manan on this show.

Anywho guys... that is it from me! I shall catch you all soon and hope you all liked today's episode just as much as meee lol

Love

DAY 16! - Almost 7-2!

"Jab tum us classroom se nikle they na...I had given you a point. So it was 2-6. Par lagta hai, ke mujhe bahut jaldi, ek point milne waala hai. Because Mr. Manik Malhotra, mujhe pata hai...ke tum kuch bhi karke, panditji ki class, waapis join karoge. As you said... panditji ke intentions, mere liye... ache nahin hain... hmm?"

So as we usually say about our Manan mondays... they are slow and steady but they get us thinking about what may be in store for us in the week ahead. There were many reasons I liked today's episode. There's not much of Manik's facade left anymore to conceal his true feelings. Navya and her mother's bonding along with a tang of Cabir in the equation was quite a beautiful scene and tomorrow's promo has certainly left us biting our nails.

I want to start off with Navya and her mother first of all because for me... it was one of the best scenes in today's episode. Navya's fear, her guilt, her pain, all made an appearance in today's episode. But like they say, a mother can never stay angry with her child for long. The minute Navya quietly placed her head in her mother's lap, she knew that her daughter wasn't happy. She knew there was more to this story than just the idea of her daughter being pregnant with a child. I feel as though Navya is completely ready to give birth to this child now. Her mother's support was what she had hoped for in this journey and I feel that she will have this support with her throughout. It was just simply so emotional seeing the mother-daughter duo share their tears and pain. No longer was there any spec of anger or exasperation on navya's mother's face, but rather she was only hoping of how she could eradicate the root of the pain in her daughter's heart. Whilst many of us have fallen in love with Navya's equation with Cabir and how the two are always endlessly pulling each other's legs and getting on each other's nerves; we mustn't forget that Navya too is living with an unhealed heart. Her smile, her laughter, her pranks and teasing are all a facade she face-packs on before leaving her bedroom so she doesn't have spread these worries and distress onto her friends. But today she had the chance to rip off that mask and openly let the heart bleed its tears. I absolutely loved the hug when Navya's mother says that she'll talk to the boy and Navya confesses that he won't marry her. That was Navya;s feeling of returning home to her mother, to her warmth, love and care.

On the other side we saw our beloved Cabira trying his best to concentrate on his RJ script but he's unable to. "Stupid Navya... seriously!" Seeing him , thinking about her so worriedly and with so much concern just brought a smile on my face. As much as them two admit they can't stand each other's presence, the truth is that they have become a part of each other's daily routine. Their mutual friendship is the strength that allows them to get through a hectic day with a smile on their faces. Their support is the balm to their bleeding wounds that are still really sensitive. Their presence in each other's lives is the family that they crave in their day-to-day lives. They may not just realise it yet, but their friendship is one which will last a lifetime. No matter, what the circumstances may be, I can foresee that they will never leave each other's sides because both of them have experienced the essence of betrayal, rejection, and broken heart at a very young age,

Also, I see very joy-filled days for the Cavya household as Navya's mother seems like she won't be going anywhere anytime soon. My poor Cabira... have to put up with two Naveli's haha But it'll definitely by a pure entertaining sight to watch the quarrels and laughter-filled arguments that are on their way ahead. 😆

Now moving onto my Manan. So dayum... my Manik started off with boiling in anger and today it seemed like he was going to burn the whole college down. He wasn't in a mood to listen to anything Nandini had to say because it was all in the support of panditji. Let alone his sight, he wasn't ready to even hear the panditji's name and that once again allowed for his true feelings to surface. "Aren't you understanding? He doesn't want me to be a part of this concert!" There wasn't just insecurity in this statement In fact insecurity and jealousy were the last of the reasons for his anger. His nandu is too nave and it's driving him crazy to see someone playing with her honesty, purity and innocence whilst he is there. He is supposed to protect her. At every stage of life. It's his promise to her , to himself ill the very end of their existence, It's burning him to see that the panditji has openly challenged him to replace him so his and nandu's musical notes can't become in sync. At the same time, he sees his hope shattering. He sees their reunion in trouble which is constantly keeping him on the edge. He can't bear the thought of his hope, his love, his nandu going away from him again which seems to be the most painful thoughts of his existence. But we must remember that his fight with himself hasn't finished yet. We are definitely close to witnessing his heart's victory but there is some minimal reminders of the mind that call out to him time-to-time which tends to wipe out the smile from my nandu's face.

"Hang on. In fact I should be happy about it... right? Like me not being a part of it. Nandini...? We won't be able to perform together! *laughs* Right... you're right. No no, pandit is right. Right. My hatred... wins!"

Oh just how when he started with the sentence he seemed to be reminding himself that he was in fact supposed to "hate" her. . He was in fact supposed to be "angry" with her. It simply amused me to see my Manik be so delusional of himself once again and letting the losing opponent; the mind, script his speech to her He was trying to fool himself that he could live without the one who brought life in his life. He was trying to mislead himself that he wants the hope - which has been keeping him alive till now, to loose. He was trying to delude the heart which wanted nothing else but Nandini back in his life.

But we always know that their episode never finishes with the mind winning. They try to make it unpredictable, but like my Nandu had said in the last episode. "Mr. Manik Malhotra has become too predictable nowadays." He always returns to her to re-boost her with the confidence that he might have temporarily wavered for a few seconds. And so when he saw her sitting rather disheartened on the staircase because he had just stolen a point for his non-existent hatred for her, he climbed upto her to try and reason with her one more time. "Kaha tha na maine... woh pandit gaya tha nyonika ke paas. He doesn't want me to be a part of it." It was my Manik's way of telling his Nandu that this fusion concert that holds the hopes of their happiness, their love, their reunion may not be possible if she doesn't see past the facade of her panditji. Oh how badly he just wanted her to believe him. I swear if it were in my Manik's hand, he would hide her so deep in himself so the panditji's shadow wouldn't even be found luring anywhere near his nandini. But my nandu remained stubborn because of the pure heart she possesses. Her faith and trust in everyone around her is never judged upon any external factors. She only listens to her heart and her heart is so pure and innocent that she sees no fault in someone. I really felt scared for her at this scene when she said "Manik, panditji mere guru hain. And guru and shishaya ka rishta... it's so pure." My poor baby just doesn't know the danger that is lurking around her. Someone is yet again about to manipulate her trust and faith. But nevertheless, we know that as long as her manik is there with her, pain won't even dare to touch her shadow. I absolutely loved the confidence she spoke her words just before she headed off to panditji's class. It was her trust in him speaking. It was her hope openly challenging him that even if there was any danger in panditji's intentions, she had nothing to worry about because he would soon return to the class to protect her again. His heart had won once again and so had their hope.

Now what do I say about everyone's favourite; our dearest Nyonika. She just doesn't seem to get it does she that Manik doesn't give a single damn about her or what she says. It truly amuses me to see her growing over-confidence about the fact that Manik gives her more importance than Nandini. How false she is if she thinks that after her current plan, Manan would be separated forever. The forever' bit of her ideology is correct, but the rest of her theory is way far off from being correct. The term forever does associate with Manan, but it can only be used in the context of them being together forever. Once again, she did the job of a catalyst and brought my Manik just that inch closer to his Nandini.

There was a rare irony present in today's episode in relation to Manan and Nyonika. Manik had once questioned Nandini as to how she could believe Nyonika so easily in thinking that he was the culprit behind Soha's deah. And today, it's infact the same Nyonika's words that are repeatedly echoing in his ears about the wrong intentions of panditji. Manik knew he would be contradicting himself if he answered Nandini's question as to who else knows about panditji's evil intentions and so he stopped mid-sentence. This will eventually become a learning for Manik in terms of realising that Nandini wasn't at fault during the manipulated saga of soha's death. He is in a similar situation to what Nandini was during that time. The only difference is that this time, instead of drifting them apart, Nyonika may just be the reason that Manan reunite.

I've got to say whilst my most favourite scene in today's episode was when Manik grabs Nandini's hand in the hope of saving her from going to panditji; it melted my heart to see him waiting at that staircase for her class to finish. The way he paced back and forth in the corridor thinking whether he was over-thinking the situation. You could see how badly he wanted to believe his Nandu and trust her because that's what their relationship was all about. He wanted that his instincts be proven wrong because that would mean that his Nandu was in no danger. Similarly, I love the contrasting scene from Nandini's point of view when upon seeing panditji's hand on her hand; she questions her faith on panditji. She seems to be in the tiff to believe Manik too because she trusts him more than anything in this world, even more than herself. It was just such a beautiful controversy running in each other's hearts because their blind faith on each other is getting them to question their trust on themselves.

So finally the precap has showcased what we've been all waiting for, the manik and dhruv confrontation. Whilst I believe that Manik may not necessarily blast in tomorrow's episode, but at least there will be the revelation of Dhruv's true feelings for Manik without being under the spell of any kind of intoxication. So what is this secret that Dhruv is so eager to tell everyone about? Personally I thought it was the secret as to why Manik couldn't perform for the musicana auditions and the time he sung on phone. But you never know, we may be in for a surprise from the CV's. And of course... I'm excited because my nandu is there and when she will see a somewhat broken manik, she will again become the reason for his healing.

Hope you all enjoyed today's episode!

Stay smiling

I'm excited for the new track. It will be fun to watch Manik trying classical music.
Would also love to know the reason behind him joining the class. Hope we get some fun episodes. Manik vs Pandit will be fun to watch. Always loved Manik vs Harshad.

Seriously hope that the Pandit isn't negative and will bring about Nandini's potential. Maybe he'll succeed in teaching manik a thing or two as well.

DAY 10! - What is true love?

"Assal meh tum dono keh paas bahaut time hai. Tabhi yeh sab games khelte rahte ho"

Today's episode was a little slow but much needed. It was time for Manan to listen today. It was time they learnt the importance of time, the importance of true love. It was time for them to listen, absorb and then react. It seemed to me that they had done enough talking over the last couple of days so it was time for their mind and heart to rest a little today. Today, Manik's struggle wasn't necessarily of whether to listen to his heart or to his mind. He faced the dilemma of whether to pay heed to himself, Nandini or his friend (in today's case; Mukti).
I've got to admire that Mukbhi's contribution towards Manan's realization in today's episode was undoubtedly applause-worthy. Mukti may have not had the kindest in reaction towards Nandini but she had her reasons for that. She was hurt because Manik's heart had claimed his Nandini to be right and Mukti's decision of not informing them about Abhi, to be wrong in front of everyone. But at that scene I felt it wasn't so much about the mind vs the heart, it was more about Mukti's wellbeing. It was about right and wrong. Manik favored Nandini because he knew Mukti would eventually fall apart after Abhi's death and being her family, her best friends Fab 5 wouldn't have been able to see her in such pain.

Mukti might have blamed Nandini's interference for her tears, the pain she felt in today's episode. But rather it was her adamancy of keeping mum about this situation of hers that led her into an abrupt breakdown. The importance of communication was again re-visited in today's episode. Where on one hand we had such a positive and smile-filled start to the episode, the confrontation of Fab 5 and Mukti was just as heart-tearing. If I were to speak honestly, for me it was an absolutely treat to watch Fab 5 huddle in a group and support their friend, their brother at his first day at work. Just how I've missed their group hugs, their bonding celebrations, their cake celebrations. After all they are meant to be the pillars of support for each other. "Yaaron...dosti...badi hi haseen hai..." Just how apt these lines are for these bunch of friends. They really have been the bestest of friends in each other's worst of times. They've been each other's parents when the need came to wipe each other's tears. They've been each other's siblings when they felt like playing a hilariously torturing prank. They've been each other's counselors when they ended up losing a certain battle in life. But over time some differences have emerged. Whilst the bond and the love and the unselfish care still remains... Secrets have driven them apart. For the first time today, I felt that somewhere Manik's lack of communication with Fab 5 was a prime reason why Manan are treading on different paths today. At the time when Nyonika narrated and enacted her manipulation saga, Nandini was alone, emotionally weak and psychologically vulnerable. I feel as though if she had had the support of fab 5 at that stage, Manik's suffering would have been less. In fact who knows, maybe they wouldn't have diverted parts in the first place. But their lack of communication and lack of revelation to the Fab 5 worsened the situation. If we actually think about it, Fab 5 were right in their accord to express their disapproval of Nandini in Manik's life. After all for them, she was the prime suspect who had caused Manik to embrace darkness and harshness once again. Their friend was in writhing pain because of her. But to some extent, Manik's just as big of a culprit in causing this pain to bestow upon him. Because had the fab 5 known about Manan's relationship, they would've understood Nandini better, they would have been able to understand her value in Manik's life with a more distinct perspective.

But nevertheless, it can also be said that there was a need for Manan to taste the bitter taste of separation. It was vital for them to experience temporary separation in order for them to permanently reunite at some point. I feel as though these circumstances that they are currently fighting with, will not only help them in realising their love for each other but it will also teach them the importance, the value of true love. The correlation of love and trust. It will teach them how to respect and nurture their love.

It was such an enlightening when when Manik is talking to Mukti and Nandini is conversing with Nandni. Mukbhi's realization of love may be recent, but they have managed to map out the depth and intensity of their love. Mukti's love has taught Abhi to foresee the reasons of why she sometimes acts the way she does. It has taught him to understand his partner, their relationship to the fullest. And Abhi's love has taught Mukti how to smile for the sake of other's happiness. It has changed her In a way that she now wants to spread the happiness that her Abhi used to once want to spread in people's lives. This act of maturity, understanding and selfless love was important for Manan to witness. As they say, you sometimes don't tend to realize the real value of an object or person in your life until you see them going away from you. Similar is the case with Manan. Manik was unable to cope with the thought of Nandini leaving his world, his life forever and hence he ordered for her expulsion to be cancelled. Nandini couldn't imagine the thought of not having Manik's shadow present in every step of her life so she challenged his notion of his so called "hatred" that he feels towards her. When Manik saw Nandini walking away from his life, he was sure that he couldn't let her go like this, hence he stopped her. His heart was absolutely sure at that point that she was the one for him. But today when asked by Mukti whether he was planning to get together with Nandini, his silence spoke uncertainty, doubt and half-hearted acceptance.
I loved the scene when Mukti so fearlessly, with a clear state of mind, cries "But I'm not confused. I know he's the one. I love him." With the confidence she said those words and the absolutely doubt-free inner-consciousness she possessed was a learning that Manik needs to uptake. He needs to realize that love is when you wake up everyday and you can undoubtedly claim that no she is the one for me. He needs to realise that there is no room for a "maybe" in love. It's either yes or no. Be it Nandini''s lies, her anger, her betrayal, her love, her faith or her trust. It's all a part of her and she's a part of me. Manan can't reunite till he realizes that when you're in love, you control your own mind and heart. You don't let them control you. She ten said to him "Aur Manik life meh true love na... Itni easily nahi milta." As our Nandini once said to cabir too... "If it doesn't hurt, it's not love." I feel my Manik still needs to realizes the alternate definitions of love. He knows sacrifice is one because he's burnt in that fire before but he needs to know pain is one too. He needs to realize that when you're in love and you find the one, their existence and disappearance from your life doesn't depend on your wants. Once they become yours, that bond remains forever. If they say it's hard to find true love, it's virtually impossible to let go of it. But he has hope. And that hope shall be the enlightenment path to his realization. It shall guide him and teach him that for him, there should be only one definition of Love. Nandini.

Now moving onto Abhi and our Nandu's conversations. Whilst Manik may be the heartthrob of this show and the college, this guy seems to have his life sorted in every way possible. Honestly speaking, I would actually fall for Abhi too. He is pretty much the epitome of happiness and positivity. The one guy who could reach any height in this world with his never-dying smile. But time is being harsh on him. He lacks the time now. Perhaps that's the reason the lessons that people tend to learn step by step at various stages of life, he's already learnt them in the early years of his youth. I believe that whilst Nandini's grip on her love, her feelings and her emotions for Manik is somewhat firmer than Manik's; she still has the potential to grow further and add growth into her relationship. To be honest, I was glad when she asked Abhi "Abhi, jhoot kyun bola?" Whilst we love the righteous and truthful side that Nandini possess and uses to fight for what's right and what's wrong, I find that somewhere she needs to learn that love isn't about right or wrong, truths or lies. I mean yes you shouldn't be lying to your partner with the intention of cheating them. But Nandini still has to learn that this life is too short and unpredictable. And if some moments of happiness can be bought with the price of a white lie, then it's a very little price to pay for someone's happiness. She still needs to simulate that saying into her life that "everything is fair in love and war". Like I've said before, I feel Abhi fulfills that need of an elder brother, of a mentor that Nandini has always needed. She is after all human too and I feel she wasn't able to understand herself in the initial years of her life because she had other responsibilities to fulfill. She had to fill in the spot of her parents in Rishab's life for which reason she somewhere didn't get the time to understand the workings of life in some aspects. But Abhi taught her today, that when you have true love, why waste time playing games? Why waste time in staying away from each other? Why waste time in walking alone when you can walk together?

I also quite liked the scene when Manik and Nandini were deep in their thoughts, walking in the corridor trying to figure out the meaning and workings of true love. When they came face to face after a while, I knew that they had taken a u-turn from their individual paths and were now trying to figure out how exactly to return on that mutual path of love.
"Like how... How do you just always show up... Just when I need you?" I loved how for just a fraction of a second my Manik forgot he was supposed to be fighting a battle. He was supposed to be pretending that he hates her. The way he laughed a little laugh to himself just shows how even if he had asked for anything else at that moment, he may have got it. But once again, he denied his heart's call and let the mind do its workings. "When I need you to not be there." Oh just how delusional can my baby get. For how long he will fight with himself over and over again and deny that there is something more than just an ordinary love and hate relationship between then two. It ached for me to see that even after so many hints that his heart has given him, he finds true love just an illusion. He still was confused whether what he felt once upon a time, what he feels for her now is actually true love or not. Lucky for my nandu in this case, she's never had to face such a dilemma. She has her mother's words that still echo in her ears and she has the evidence of her fireflies' ability to grow, as evidence. There is true love and she knows it. The way she holds her hand and asks him whether he actually doesn't believe in true love was quite a beautiful scene actually. Possibly my favourite scene of today. Because for once he didn't flinch off her hand. Instead he took her hand in his hand and caressed it in the hope that maybe her touch will lead him to all his answers. He held her hand in his hand as if he was handing himself over to her for just a few minutes so she could enlighten him whether true love existed or not. His heart had kicked back in into the picture and he wanted to trust her with assuring and convincing him that their love was actually true love. That Manik and Nandini were meant to be.

Alrightey guys so how can I wrap up without mentioning the promo! Well well... Holy party is next and aren't we all excited to witness the next step of their relationship. What realization will they face next? What struggles will they face next? At the same time there's a part of me that feels that there is actually a serious and genuine reason as to why Nandini hates holi. Perhaps it's to do with her parents? And let me just mention, if Manik unknowingly hurts her feelings in the adamancy of playing holi with her... We are definitely in for some deep and emotional moments then when Manik will try to make up for his mistake.

Hope you enjoyed today's episode and sorry for the delay again.

Much love!

Totally agree with you here! The track is finally progressing in the direction we've all been waiting for. That fun and spice-filled, fiery manan relationship is just days few away now and it'll be quite interesting to see how they both will be able to resist each other, especially Manik.
I feel manik has finally given in to his fight of keeping her away from himself. Possibly a realisation since he can't send her away from his life he might as well keep her in front of his eyes and torture? But that will be the healing stage of their relationship.

Also, does anyone also feel that maybe just maybe he's decision of attending Panditji's class is so he can keep him away from nandini? After all, there is a battle going on inside him. And whilst he's words to nandini that "i'm not done with you yet" may be from the mind... he hasn't been able to express the true reason to nandini or himself. The heart's reason. We all know his heart can't see nandini with another guy so perhaps this is all an act done in the heat of insecurity... just a thought I got lol

Hey cutie..No analysis from you today so i will get us started on a discussion.
Ohhh..It was all heart today. Manik Maltorta was all heart as the green-eyed monster consumed him. I told Manik to let it burn a little. Manik let it burn a lot. I absolutely loved how his heart immediately regrets the decision his mind took of pulling the water prank. He sees his girl suffering..getting exhausted and he regrets it. And he helplessly stands there when Pandit plays no heed. Oh baby. Next time, don't let the mind do the thinking...lol. you do the opposite of what you say anyway.

Which brings me to the second fall of the day.lol. Nandini always gives her guy a chance to redeem himself. But before the fall, can i just mention how adorable I found Nandini when she honestly tells Manik she faked the fall so he could be the one to catch her. Her inability to lie is one of her most endearing qualities, when she stays true to her character, I love it. And Manik's mind so confidently claims that he wouldn't bother saving her, rather he will enjoy it. Oh Manik, i legit laughed at you at that point, your girl was still polite, she just slyly smiled. But as Cabir always says, Manik does opposite of what he says when it comes to Nandini, of course he runs to catch her ! That's what i meant when i said she gives her guy to redeem himself. So what if he didn't catch her once, she gives him another chance to fulfill his promise: I will always catch you when you fall.
And her hope wins again. That little tip toe moment to whisper that bit: Utter Cuteness Nandini Murthy was. And Manik believes it too cause he tells her: "don't try to act cute with me"..He means she is already so damn cute to him, she doesn't even have to try. lol. Nandini's continuous efforts is really making a difference, she seems to be clipping at his armour bit by bit. That's why he smiles a small smile after Nandini proudly announces that her hope won. And i keep saying it..no one believes me...There is no hope and hatred battle. Manik does not hate his shining star. So Hope wins. her hope, his hope..it's all one. Even for Manik because he says it in the precap: There is hope..of course there is ,boy.
My beautiful moment was actually Manik's smile in response to Nandini's point 1 for hope. He smiles that small smile like he agrees with her..like he is rooting for her hope to win all the way. And plus he has a beautiful smile..i am glad Nandini is finding ways to bring it back.
Contrast that to him strumming his guitar to vent out his frustration about Pandit and nandu's catching moment and he claims music is reason for smiling. No Manik, music is your way of coping, it helps you get through a mood, it may make you smile too but it's not the reason for your smile. I already told your reason for smiling but you don't believe moi.

Pandit. I like this man. He is no-nonsense type of man, he sees through Nandu's fake fall. And best of all, he wants Nandini's music to flourish, doesn't want her goofing off. And he is giving Manik some real green-eyed moments..lol. My poor Manik.

I told you there was hope for Mutki. Abhi has really been a positive change in her life. Thou I am saddened that she loves a man who is on his deathbed, he taught her so much about life itself. Abhi is a smart man anyway...he is telling Nandini to stop wasting time playing games..life doesn't last forever, we waste too much not being with our loved ones..we lose them any moment. We should appreciate what a gift life is and be with the people we love. Let us hope Manan learn something for these two.

Oh I cannot not talk about my Cabs..Oh my heart broke for my boy today. This guy has a heart of gold..he is always, always and i mean always there for his friends but no one remembers his first day of work. He has every right to be upset and disappointed. I was sad for him.

Holi Promo...EEEPPSSS...Such sexiness. Dude, check out the cheek rubbing . Nandu doesn't like holi and it's our boy's favourite festival and he likes to play dirty. Oh..this gotta be fun. For sure. I don't know who will get drunk but i am kinda rooting for Nandu because she will shed all her inhibitions..she might even talk about the Soha death issue, why she had a moment of err and since Manik will be taking care of her, he is bound to be softened and more open to listening.
And look..Dhruv and Alya solving their problems physically..again *facepalm* and my Cabs sees.

Okies..i think i am done..let me tell you it was so hard gathering my thoughts not having your analysis there to guide me through.

Toodles babe..see you when i see you :)

Well here i am..

I would like to start with Fab 5. Let me start with how heartwarming it was to see Fab 4 supporting Cabs...like Cabs i was really disappointed with them yesterday but the surprise was beautiful, brought a smile to my face. Seeing all of them huddled together, leaving aside their own issues ( especially Alya/Dhruv, brownie points for Miss.Mini Dress that she still pulled Dhruv into a huddle despite his insensitive reluctance) for their best friend. Today, Fab were there as one and it shows at the end of the day, they are all one family. I loved how you described their relationship, fulfilling multiple roles for each other as they grew up together.
Yes, Somewhere along the way their relationship has changed, secrets exist now but i feel like a relationship that remains stagnant is not healthy either..a relationship needs it's ups and downs. Same goes for their relationship, sooth sailing will take away from their relationship. I like my Fab 5 like this, together as a family when needed but also going beyond their group to find other significant relationships of love and friendship.

Let's move onto Mukbhi and how their situation is giving much needed wisdom to Manan. Somehow i feel nothing but sympathy and sadness for Mukti today even when she reacted negatively to Nandini's aid. A part of her was relieved that she didn't have to do the hard job of coming clean to her friends..and she needs support and love at a difficult time..her friends will provide that. So despite her angry reaction, deep down she is thankful to Nandu. And she appreictes it too because Manik shows up at the hospital, she welcomes his strength as he gives her a hug. Found their scene to be quite beautiful.

Contrast that to Abhi's convo with his baby doll. You are absolutely right. Abhi is her elder brother, a mentor, a person who can help her figure things out, give her advice. They built a beautiful friendship in a very short span of time. Very glad to see that Nandu came to the hospital to see Abhi even if it meant to face the wrath of Mukti. One should always ask a dying person how one should live life. Because only a person who is on the verge of losing it will know how beautiful it is..how we should appreciate it and what our loved ones really mean to us. Abhi's honesty that Manan have time to play games whereas he and Mukti don't. People say that Mukbhi fell in love too fast, their story is too unrealistic. I happen to disagree. They already know the value of the person they are able to lose. That's why they only have room for true and no other unnecessary emotions or issues. As you said, they already realize the depth and intensity of their love.
Really hope Manan gain some perspective from Mukbhi, especially our Manik. May Manik be enlightened in the way you have beautifully described.

Now for our Manan. I like that Manik didn't fight a unnecesscary battle with himself today, as always there is tension between the mind and heart but we get to that later. His honesty with Mukti: "There's...hope". Wow boy, someone's positivity is rubbing off on you. He seems a little confused still thou which i think he has no reason to be.
Not when he sought her out to discuss the 'illusion that love is.'I absolutely love that fact that Manik always 'needs' Nandu to sort through his thoughts about everything. He is stressed about Mukti and what Abhi means to her so yeah..makes total sense to pull her into a room and demand that she shouldn't be here.lol.
He is open and honest..it seems like love is just a illusion, he isn't sure if he ever really felt that emotion and then true love reaches out and holds his heart and whispers: Yes, there is true love, i am your true love. My beautiful moment right there ! Nandu's hand reaching out to reassure Manik was the beautiful moment. She holds his heart and his heart is soothed, welcomes her warm touch and he didn't flinch ! Major progress right there. And that was because he needed the touch more than she did but as always the stupid mind kicks in and shakes the hand loose which faith totally has a laugh at and hence, the accidental cheek kiss.
May i also mention that this boy is really diligent with this promise business ? One missed catch and he bent on not letting it again. So he catches her, refusing to let her fall and even gets a cheek kiss for it. Not bad at all, Manik Maltorta.

Holi: So it seems like Nandu has really hate/dislike for holi. there are emotional reasons for it, it may be connected to her parents but nonetheless should Manik choose to harass her at the time of holi, it will another step to learning more about each other. And if he hurts her unintentionally..umm, that's gonna be a problem for our romeo but that just means he will spend more time making it up to her. Thou a pool prank or a water scene seems to be coming according to the offscreen pictures..and Nyo is there too..ohhh i can already smell the trouble..lol. Should be a eventful Holi, one i hope will bring beautiful colours of change to our Manan's life.

Okies..this seems it for now. Lovely as always my love.
Happy Holi again.
