Today's episode was a little slow but much needed.
It was time for Manan to listen today. It was time they learnt the importance of time, the importance of true love. It was time for them to listen, absorb and then react. It seemed to me that they had done enough talking over the last couple of days so it was time for their mind and heart to rest a little today. Today,
Manik's struggle wasn't necessarily of whether to listen to his heart or to his mind. He faced the dilemma of whether to pay heed to himself, Nandini or his friend (in today's case; Mukti).
I've got to admire that Mukbhi's contribution towards Manan's realization in today's episode was undoubtedly applause-worthy. Mukti may have not had the kindest in reaction towards Nandini but she had her reasons for that. She was hurt because Manik's heart had claimed his Nandini to be right and Mukti's decision of not informing them about Abhi, to be wrong in front of everyone. But at that scene I felt it wasn't so much about the mind vs the heart, it was more about Mukti's wellbeing. It was about right and wrong. Manik favored Nandini because he knew Mukti would eventually fall apart after Abhi's death and being her family, her best friends Fab 5 wouldn't have been able to see her in such pain.
Mukti might have blamed Nandini's interference for her tears, the pain she felt in today's episode. But rather it was her adamancy of keeping mum about this situation of hers that led her into an abrupt breakdown. The importance of communication was again re-visited in today's episode. Where on one hand we had such a positive and smile-filled start to the episode, the confrontation of Fab 5 and Mukti was just as heart-tearing. If I were to speak honestly, for me it was an absolutely treat to watch Fab 5 huddle in a group and support their friend, their brother at his first day at work. Just how I've missed their group hugs, their bonding celebrations, their cake celebrations. After all they are meant to be the pillars of support for each other. "Yaaron...dosti...badi hi haseen hai..."Just how apt these lines are for these bunch of friends. They really have been the bestest of friends in each other's worst of times. They've been each other's parents when the need came to wipe each other's tears. They've been each other's siblings when they felt like playing a hilariously torturing prank. They've been each other's counselors when they ended up losing a certain battle in life. But over time some differences have emerged. Whilst the bond and the love and the unselfish care still remains... Secrets have driven them apart. For the first time today, I felt that somewhere Manik's lack of communication with Fab 5 was a prime reason why Manan are treading on different paths today. At the time when Nyonika narrated and enacted her manipulation saga, Nandini was alone, emotionally weak and psychologically vulnerable. I feel as though if she had had the support of fab 5 at that stage, Manik's suffering would have been less. In fact who knows, maybe they wouldn't have diverted parts in the first place. But their lack of communication and lack of revelation to the Fab 5 worsened the situation. If we actually think about it, Fab 5 were right in their accord to express their disapproval of Nandini in Manik's life. After all for them, she was the prime suspect who had caused Manik to embrace darkness and harshness once again. Their friend was in writhing pain because of her. But to some extent, Manik's just as big of a culprit in causing this pain to bestow upon him. Because had the fab 5 known about Manan's relationship, they would've understood Nandini better, they would have been able to understand her value in Manik's life with a more distinct perspective.
But nevertheless, it can also be said that there was a need for Manan to taste the bitter taste of separation. It was vital for them to experience temporary separation in order for them to permanently reunite at some point. I feel as though these circumstances that they are currently fighting with, will not only help them in realising their love for each other but it will also teach them the importance, the value of true love. The correlation of love and trust. It will teach them how to respect and nurture their love.
It was such an enlightening when when Manik is talking to Mukti and Nandini is conversing with Nandni. Mukbhi's realization of love may be recent, but they have managed to map out the depth and intensity of their love. Mukti's love has taught Abhi to foresee the reasons of why she sometimes acts the way she does. It has taught him to understand his partner, their relationship to the fullest. And Abhi's love has taught Mukti how to smile for the sake of other's happiness. It has changed her In a way that she now wants to spread the happiness that her Abhi used to once want to spread in people's lives. This act of maturity, understanding and selfless love was important for Manan to witness. As they say, you sometimes don't tend to realize the real value of an object or person in your life until you see them going away from you. Similar is the case with Manan. Manik was unable to cope with the thought of Nandini leaving his world, his life forever and hence he ordered for her expulsion to be cancelled. Nandini couldn't imagine the thought of not having Manik's shadow present in every step of her life so she challenged his notion of his so called "hatred" that he feels towards her. When Manik saw Nandini walking away from his life, he was sure that he couldn't let her go like this, hence he stopped her. His heart was absolutely sure at that point that she was the one for him. But today when asked by Mukti whether he was planning to get together with Nandini, his silence spoke uncertainty, doubt and half-hearted acceptance.
I loved the scene when Mukti so fearlessly, with a clear state of mind, cries "But I'm not confused. I know he's the one. I love him." With the confidence she said those words and the absolutely doubt-free inner-consciousness she possessed was a learning that Manik needs to uptake. He needs to realize that love is when you wake up everyday and you can undoubtedly claim that no she is the one for me. He needs to realise that there is no room for a "maybe" in love. It's either yes or no. Be it Nandini''s lies, her anger, her betrayal, her love, her faith or her trust. It's all a part of her and she's a part of me. Manan can't reunite till he realizes that when you're in love, you control your own mind and heart. You don't let them control you. She ten said to him "Aur Manik life meh true love na... Itni easily nahi milta." As our Nandini once said to cabir too... "If it doesn't hurt, it's not love." I feel my Manik still needs to realizes the alternate definitions of love. He knows sacrifice is one because he's burnt in that fire before but he needs to know pain is one too. He needs to realize that when you're in love and you find the one, their existence and disappearance from your life doesn't depend on your wants. Once they become yours, that bond remains forever. If they say it's hard to find true love, it's virtually impossible to let go of it. But he has hope. And that hope shall be the enlightenment path to his realization. It shall guide him and teach him that for him, there should be only one definition of Love. Nandini.
Now moving onto Abhi and our Nandu's conversations. Whilst Manik may be the heartthrob of this show and the college, this guy seems to have his life sorted in every way possible. Honestly speaking, I would actually fall for Abhi too. He is pretty much the epitome of happiness and positivity. The one guy who could reach any height in this world with his never-dying smile. But time is being harsh on him. He lacks the time now. Perhaps that's the reason the lessons that people tend to learn step by step at various stages of life, he's already learnt them in the early years of his youth. I believe that whilst Nandini's grip on her love, her feelings and her emotions for Manik is somewhat firmer than Manik's; she still has the potential to grow further and add growth into her relationship. To be honest, I was glad when she asked Abhi "Abhi, jhoot kyun bola?" Whilst we love the righteous and truthful side that Nandini possess and uses to fight for what's right and what's wrong, I find that somewhere she needs to learn that love isn't about right or wrong, truths or lies. I mean yes you shouldn't be lying to your partner with the intention of cheating them. But Nandini still has to learn that this life is too short and unpredictable. And if some moments of happiness can be bought with the price of a white lie, then it's a very little price to pay for someone's happiness. She still needs to simulate that saying into her life that "everything is fair in love and war". Like I've said before, I feel Abhi fulfills that need of an elder brother, of a mentor that Nandini has always needed. She is after all human too and I feel she wasn't able to understand herself in the initial years of her life because she had other responsibilities to fulfill. She had to fill in the spot of her parents in Rishab's life for which reason she somewhere didn't get the time to understand the workings of life in some aspects. But Abhi taught her today, that when you have true love, why waste time playing games? Why waste time in staying away from each other? Why waste time in walking alone when you can walk together?
I also quite liked the scene when Manik and Nandini were deep in their thoughts, walking in the corridor trying to figure out the meaning and workings of true love. When they came face to face after a while, I knew that they had taken a u-turn from their individual paths and were now trying to figure out how exactly to return on that mutual path of love.
"Like how... How do you just always show up... Just when I need you?" I loved how for just a fraction of a second my Manik forgot he was supposed to be fighting a battle. He was supposed to be pretending that he hates her. The way he laughed a little laugh to himself just shows how even if he had asked for anything else at that moment, he may have got it. But once again, he denied his heart's call and let the mind do its workings. "When I need you to not be there." Oh just how delusional can my baby get. For how long he will fight with himself over and over again and deny that there is something more than just an ordinary love and hate relationship between then two. Lucky for my nandu in this case, she's never had to face such a dilemma. She has her mother's words that still echo in her ears and she has the evidence of her fireflies' ability to grow, as evidence. There is true love and she knows it. The way she holds her hand and asks him whether he actually doesn't believe in true love was quite a beautiful scene actually. Possibly my favourite scene of today. Because for once he didn't flinch off her hand. Instead he took her hand in his hand and caressed it in the hope that maybe her touch will lead him to all his answers. He held her hand in his hand as if he was handing himself over to her for just a few minutes so she could enlighten him whether true love existed or not. His heart had kicked back in into the picture and he wanted to trust her with assuring and convincing him that their love was actually true love. That Manik and Nandini were meant to be.
Alrightey guys so how can I wrap up without mentioning the promo! Well well... Holy party is next and aren't we all excited to witness the next step of their relationship. What realization will they face next? What struggles will they face next? At the same time there's a part of me that feels that there is actually a serious and genuine reason as to why Nandini hates holi. Perhaps it's to do with her parents? And let me just mention, if Manik unknowingly hurts her feelings in the adamancy of playing holi with her... We are definitely in for some deep and emotional moments then when Manik will try to make up for his mistake.
Well here i am..
I would like to start with Fab 5. Let me start with how heartwarming it was to see Fab 4 supporting Cabs...like Cabs i was really disappointed with them yesterday but the surprise was beautiful, brought a smile to my face. Seeing all of them huddled together, leaving aside their own issues ( especially Alya/Dhruv, brownie points for Miss.Mini Dress that she still pulled Dhruv into a huddle despite his insensitive reluctance) for their best friend. Today, Fab were there as one and it shows at the end of the day, they are all one family. I loved how you described their relationship, fulfilling multiple roles for each other as they grew up together.
Yes, Somewhere along the way their relationship has changed, secrets exist now but i feel like a relationship that remains stagnant is not healthy either..a relationship needs it's ups and downs. Same goes for their relationship, sooth sailing will take away from their relationship. I like my Fab 5 like this, together as a family when needed but also going beyond their group to find other significant relationships of love and friendship.
Let's move onto Mukbhi and how their situation is giving much needed wisdom to Manan. Somehow i feel nothing but sympathy and sadness for Mukti today even when she reacted negatively to Nandini's aid. A part of her was relieved that she didn't have to do the hard job of coming clean to her friends..and she needs support and love at a difficult time..her friends will provide that. So despite her angry reaction, deep down she is thankful to Nandu. And she appreictes it too because Manik shows up at the hospital, she welcomes his strength as he gives her a hug. Found their scene to be quite beautiful.
Contrast that to Abhi's convo with his baby doll. You are absolutely right. Abhi is her elder brother, a mentor, a person who can help her figure things out, give her advice. They built a beautiful friendship in a very short span of time. Very glad to see that Nandu came to the hospital to see Abhi even if it meant to face the wrath of Mukti. One should always ask a dying person how one should live life. Because only a person who is on the verge of losing it will know how beautiful it is..how we should appreciate it and what our loved ones really mean to us. Abhi's honesty that Manan have time to play games whereas he and Mukti don't. People say that Mukbhi fell in love too fast, their story is too unrealistic. I happen to disagree. They already know the value of the person they are able to lose. That's why they only have room for true and no other unnecessary emotions or issues. As you said, they already realize the depth and intensity of their love.
Really hope Manan gain some perspective from Mukbhi, especially our Manik. May Manik be enlightened in the way you have beautifully described.
Now for our Manan. I like that Manik didn't fight a unnecesscary battle with himself today, as always there is tension between the mind and heart but we get to that later. His honesty with Mukti: "There's...hope". Wow boy, someone's positivity is rubbing off on you. He seems a little confused still thou which i think he has no reason to be.
Not when he sought her out to discuss the 'illusion that love is.'I absolutely love that fact that Manik always 'needs' Nandu to sort through his thoughts about everything. He is stressed about Mukti and what Abhi means to her so yeah..makes total sense to pull her into a room and demand that she shouldn't be here.lol.
He is open and honest..it seems like love is just a illusion, he isn't sure if he ever really felt that emotion and then true love reaches out and holds his heart and whispers: Yes, there is true love, i am your true love. My beautiful moment right there ! Nandu's hand reaching out to reassure Manik was the beautiful moment. She holds his heart and his heart is soothed, welcomes her warm touch and he didn't flinch ! Major progress right there. And that was because he needed the touch more than she did but as always the stupid mind kicks in and shakes the hand loose which faith totally has a laugh at and hence, the accidental cheek kiss.
May i also mention that this boy is really diligent with this promise business ? One missed catch and he bent on not letting it again. So he catches her, refusing to let her fall and even gets a cheek kiss for it. Not bad at all, Manik Maltorta.
Holi: So it seems like Nandu has really hate/dislike for holi. there are emotional reasons for it, it may be connected to her parents but nonetheless should Manik choose to harass her at the time of holi, it will another step to learning more about each other. And if he hurts her unintentionally..umm, that's gonna be a problem for our romeo but that just means he will spend more time making it up to her. Thou a pool prank or a water scene seems to be coming according to the offscreen pictures..and Nyo is there too..ohhh i can already smell the trouble..lol. Should be a eventful Holi, one i hope will bring beautiful colours of change to our Manan's life.
Okies..this seems it for now. Lovely as always my love.
Happy Holi again.
