I was debating that here...

Manik lives in grey...not Nandhini though...atleast she has never given us a reason to think otherwise till now...

I still stick by it , he is all good , his intent is always a noble one.His defense or his greys' in his actions are part of his defense mechanism .

On Nandini she is like I always say the narrator , we don't know her enough beside her role around Manik to categorize her behavior. She has issues big red flags for me which are not good like how she takes all the burden on herself, guilt trips herself and how she takes things on face . Her issues are more subdued.

She is a regular normal girl , her this moment of confusion about Manik going to the rage as much as we debate made her commit a mistake , she took everything on face value didn't ponder , we explain it by understanding her dilemma while for Manik's anger is driven by his anger.
Nandini when drunk was laughing and mocking Navya , a sober Nandu won't have done that, that was humanizing for me , if she doesn't have a grey shade in her she won;t be real or relatable ever.

Think Manik just him, his childhood, life till now and his actions. You would see that this buy hasn't lived for himself ever. His anger, happiness has always been for others. His goodness shouldn't be a factor or be weighed in with Nandini's . Both are different yet equally profound.

These might be shortcomings ...but wont constitute to not being All Good...which is about intentions...

Arent we supposed to know the narrator the most in the story...example Bella in twilight...?
Didnt we see her actions for Shahid , Navya , Rishab etc...to categorize that she is good theough and through...

Nandini when drunk was laughing and mocking Navya , a sober Nandu won't have done that, that was humanizing for me , if she doesn't have a grey shade in her she won;t be real or relatable ever.

She might have mocked and laughed at Navya at that time. when she was Semi-conscious to know the difference between wrong and right...so cant blame her...but as you said sober Nandhu wouldnt have done it...
Why cant be through and through good people be relatable or real...we all want to be them in our Heart...in that way we relate to them...and there are people like that around us too...They are real...

Think Manik just him, his childhood, life till now and his actions. You would see that this buy hasn't lived for himself ever. His anger, happiness has always been for others. His goodness shouldn't be a factor or be weighed in with Nandini's . Both are different yet equally profound.

He might be the best person in the world for a few people ...for others he acts in Grey Territory...
Even people like Harshad will have their own reasons , traumas for their Bad behaviour...so do we discount their actions because of that...why the spl. Treatment here...?

@Suha: Of course Nandini ditched Manik. How else would he go back to Alya and make your doomed ship sail again?

Adhiii, I try to come, I try. :P what comment?

Anu, Bacchi is a good girl, just a little creepy and young, but very good girl.

BI, Bacchi is the Alya for real. Or soha. Jelly soha.

Genie, what matters is that I CAME. The wait was long and hard and deep, but in the climax, I came. :')

Sorry to interrupt in your conversation.

It's a very interesting post and I think what Mehr Said is absolutely true. Nandini is not wrong in getting confused about it.

His fears, insecurities stem from his past demons and for her, without having a complete understanding of those , it is difficult to comprehend the level of darkness in him for her to shine through it.It takes a lot of growth from both ends and the track just unfolding,i am hoping for the issues to be highlighted...the saviour complex needs to go away..

I am in complete concurrence with you, though they are not living in the real world, where these words would hold such high virtue as they do in this show.

If we were having this discussion outside of the forum, in real world, the word 'star" would only mean it's a fixed luminous point in the night sky and nothing more to me.

@A - We will go round in round. i measure Manik's goodness with his own life and what it means. Thats about it. Just like Nandini's. For me their version and processing is different rest they are very similar.

Harshad never learnt anything from his traumas, he blamed others-would have still be justified but he took pains to harm the people who loved him or who were completely innocence and had no role in his life
.His sister- the manipulations, Navya saga , Nandini, Shahid . He had no regret of killing the child Manik and he would have harmed Nandini too who had done NOTHING wrong to him. Harshad's world was all his while Manik made his whole world about others, his loved ones.

Manik's traumas made him take to protecting kids like him - the fab4, he had to be their leader, papa bear and protect them. Nandini didnt live with that burden ,so her life and her interpretation of goodness is more ideal.
