Part 17
Next Morning at Maniks house -
Nandini gets up and hear lot of noise coming from downstairs. She gets up and see few men walking in with big packs towards a room. Nandini follows them and see manik setting up a baby room. The room looks beautiful filled with lot of toys.
Nandini is surpised
N : Manik yeh kya kar rahe ho?
M : Manik make a naughty face, Jr. Malhotra ka room set kar raha hoon
Nandini tries to leave but manik holds her hand.
M : Nandini Im sorry.
Nandini jerks his hand and walks away.
Cabir calls Nandini and ask her and manik to come to hospital immediately.
Manik and cabir get Nandinis checkup done thoroughly. Manik becomes excited to see the baby images for the first time.
DOC : See cabir and manik everything looks fine to me but you guys will have to take extra care of her. She is very young and looks little weak so just be careful and keep her away from all the stress.
M : Yes doc. I will make sure that she is fine
Nandini makes a face. Manik notices but ignores .
Manik and cabir
C: Manik , I have given u my sister so just remember if anything happens to her and the child I will never forgive you. There is hope left in our friendship but everything depends on my sister. I want to see her smile back.
M : Smiles, and tells him not to worry , he will make everything ok.
At Night Manik's house ,
Manik has brought lot of books on newborn baby and is reading religiously. Nandini is looking at him chori chori and manik is enjoying it.
Finally
M: Kuch baat karni hai to kar lo
N : Irritated , Jo tum yeh drama kar rahe ho na Mr. Manik Malhotra , its not going to help
Manik is hurt by her harsh words but try to hide.
M : Mein drama nahin kar raha , im doing it for our baby
N : Gets angry and says its my baby not urs
Suddenly the child kicks her and she says ouch
M : Worried , what happened
N : Childs kicking
M: Tum itni illogical baat karogi to kick hi marega baby Malhotra
Manik smiles.
N : Shut up , ouch ouch
Manik gets worried and runs to her, he keeps his hand in her tummy and is amazed to feel his child kicking. It's a great feeling. However he quickly makes nandini lie down on bed and holds her hand tight. Nandini is in pain , however manik touch is very comforting.
She falls asleep hugging manik . Manik smiles and kisses her on her forhead. He reads baby book for some time and finally sleeps.
2 Months pass by - Nandini is surprised y Manik's dedication towards her and their yet to be born child . She has almost forgiven him but is yet to realize it.
Its kind of a stormy night and its raining heavily. Manik is sitting next to nandini on their ed and is reading baby books as usual. Nandu is feeling very uncomfortable tonight. She hold manik hand tightly and says in pain
N: Manik I think the time has come , we need to go to the hospital now and she starts crying in pain.
Manik freeks out as they still have 1 month left, however Nandini is in soomuch pain, he immediately pulls out his car and rush to the hospital. He informs everyone else.
Doc : Manik it seems that she is going to have a premature delivery
M ; What doc, she will be fine right
Doc : Yaa manik donot worry .
Nurse comes running , Doc there is shortage of AB+ blood, I have checked with blood anks across the city they donot have it
Doc- Manik we need this blood for nandini , since it's a premature delivery we will need it.
Manik sighs : Donot worry doc, its my blood group, just take whatever is required.
Cabir and navya comes and try to calm manik down.
The baby is finally born and nandini is also fine.
Doc : Congrats Manik ur wife is fine and congrats for a little baby boy
Manik jumps with joy
Nurse comes and puts his boy in his arms. Manik is trilled and has tears in his eyes
M : OH my god , he is so small
Cabir and Navya also look at the kid.
Nurse finally takes back the kid. Cabir hugs manik and manik hugs him back. Navya smiles
M : Doc Nandini
Doc : Haan u can go n see ur wife
Nandini is lying on her bed and she feels relieved after seeing manik and gives him a faint smile.
Manik goes near her and holds her hand
M: our baby boy is very little and cute. He looks like u
N : Manik he looks like you.
