One moment...it takes but just one glance, a pause and he gets the game!! Its like glancing at the chess board and figuring out all your opponent's strategy in a jiffy, judging exactly what is going in the other's mind and what now will be the next move!! Sharp?? Razor Sharp?? You bet!! But then, you can't expect any less from The Monster Manik Malhotra (in his Nandu's words)!!😃
His instincts were screaming the moment he found the sim in his room (and thanks Nandu for calming him down...you do know that once this guy's brain kicks in...he can deal with anything)!! His senses on high alert and finally the bank of screens gave him all the answers he was seeking. He was surprised for a few moments, but loved the way he handled it. For all that was staring in his face, sheer madness, utter sick obsessiveness, he kept his cool. Having seen the ugly side of human nature all his life, there are very few things that can shock this guy!! He figured it all out...the dots connected at sonic speed, the clues unraveling beautifully in split seconds. He had it all then, pieced and ready!! Finally the nonsense made sense to him!! Me likey the way this hottie's brain works, fast and furious!! He can think on his feet. His was calm and cool, calculating and assessing, adding and multiplying at light speed...
I hear some of you protesting...he took his sweet time...he didn't get it at first..he should have known...😉!! Pray why?? Nandini knew cause she was initially privy to the pyscho's thought processes, she had the privilege of being clued in from day one by the Insanity Inc., herself!! Not to mention the various shocks she received at regular intervals from the lunatic and her hallucinations...she had seen it all! While Soha made sure Manik only sees her saccharine sweet self most of the times until she slipped up!! Still Manik was no fool and his discerning gaze spotted a spoilt and selfish headstrong girl who had a huge crush on him and refused to take no for an answer. (Big deal, I bet coming from where he does such girls were dime a dozen)!! So, when Nandu warned him, he took it in his stride...and of course he being male, he had this huge egoistic I can handle everything complex!! Also Nandini's jealousy was a random factor in the mix that threw him off balance. He did not sense the danger.
Anyways he was chaffing since long, was operating with his hands tied behind his back. Manik absolutely hated the whole situation that put him and especially Fab 5 at some one's mercy and disposal. Time and again, he reiterated that the only reason he was gritting his teeth and biting his tongue and fisting his hands, yet bearing it all, was solely for Cabbie's benefit. Manik had come close to chucking it all at least a few times, if not for Nandini's wise intervention or Cabir's helplessness. Finally, today the caged beast was out!! 😆 He so wanted to get out of this mess, and our I-need-medical-help-asap nut case served him all on a silver platter.
Manik couldn't tolerate her at all even before the cat was out of the bag. His abrupt and harsh and short snatches of convo with her, his lack of patience, his shoving and his warning about the bad side that he could not control anymore, should have warned the girl not to push her luck 😃!! The glint of anger in his eyes, the steely fury, the calm cold heat would have kept even the most sane away...but then thank God she was insane...or how in the world would we have gotten the pleasure of seeing our Monster back!! AAhh...sweet revenge!!
Missed him...missed him sorely!! Lets just say not for him the taming by Nandu, he is too ferocious a beast to be domesticated. This romantic follow you everywhere puppy thingy looks good on some...but there are few who only look good when they are being followed 👍🏼!!For a while I was worried that the ISS had taken over...Indian Soap Syndrome...you know the one where the male lead starts with a bang, all powerful, strong, smart and sexy...then he falls in love...and then starts the reverse osmosis...the male lead disappears and the female lead takes over!! The guy becomes a prop...only there for a few romantic scenes with the female lead, supports her while she is on a world sudharo andolan of sorts. She being Joan of Arc, Jhansi ki Raani and Mary Kom rolled in one, while he being, the pillow, the lamp post and the door knob rolled in one 😃!! That had me scared for a while, that like other soaps, our Monster was gone forever too, lost in the shadows of our super heroic heroine...phew!! Bach gaye...
Thank you cvs...thank God for giving us a glimpse of our old beloved hated Monster...we so love his harshness, his rudeness, his streak of sadism, his touch of nastiness 😳 especially when its not Nandu on the receiving end, but the psycho we all wanted to burn alive at thestake since day one!! 😡 So missed his to die for protectiveness, his in your face attitude, his I don't suffer fools gladly mantra. Wanted his I will kill you with pleasure if you dare cross my road spunk, his utter callousness, sheer gall, his devil may care ways...uff...missed it all!! The leader that protected his pack at any ruthless cost, the guy that the world won't dare approach...the inhuman humane, the most hated yet waited member of Fab 5..
Rubbing my hands in glee...waiting with bated breath..as finally Soha sees the side of Manik that Nandini had warned her about!! She dare step in his world and dare harm the ones he holds so near and dear...and now its payback time!! I so so want him to deal with her and her weirder than weird father in the vintage Manik style!! Some jaw breaking punches and a couple of law breaking calls to Niyonika, a couple of strings pulled here and there and the Khuranas won't know what him them ...never mind they have all the time to figure it out when they are in the slammer or the asylum...take your pick!!
So looking forward to him taking over now, being the knight in the shining armor, the hero who has everything and everyone under control (whatever we might say..its always full paisa wasool sitti marooning moment when the hero goes dhishum dhishum to save his heroine...some things should never change)!! Hail the Hero!! 😆
...I am glad we share the feeling...the sharing and the caring is all that brings us here!!
