@Flamey - She didnt confront Ams even during bullying ,or any of her troubles. She is mindful of Ams in a way, she won't bring a topic which she thinks might upset her granny- like she did just when she saw her granny reminiscent about the accident . She will never do share her heart's desire so openly with anyone. If she can use science to hide her passion for music and never talk what she wants , I doubt she would ever have considered going to Ams. (which now seems to be the second best thing that gives her happiness).

Ams is her home, her solace, where she rests her soul but since her time in Mumbai, she has been pretty much on her own , because like her chachi said, this town will teach you to fight your own battles. And Nandini clearly takes after that.

the reason why Manik was special , because not only he helped indirectly to fight and became that support. He also sort of guided her. He became her light .

So Nandu while was guided, protected by the wisdom given by elders, Manik learnt it by his mistakes and experiences.

Partner - while Manik didn't have a definite figure in his life to hold his hand and point him towards right or wrong, Manik had enough sense in him to understand what was right and what was wrong. He's a product of failed parenting and broken household. You say that that's the reason he's so lonely. I say that's the reason he's got Fab5. With Nyonika's treatment of him, he realized ke aah, that's now how you treat the one who's your family. With his give and take relationship with her, he made it a point that when it comes to his Fab5, there's no give and take. They don't have to give him anything to make him protect them or do things for them. He with his impeccable planning and leader role became that figure that he needed when he was a child - the one who cares for you and lets you enjoy the small or big moments of life.

Nandini had a secured childhood and Manik didn't. Manik has a secure present and Nandini doesn't. That's the whole point. Past doesn't matter..abhi at this point, they have made and shaped a big part of them. And ultimately result come as that Manik has gotten a bigger and more approachable support system than Nandini does. In his solitude Manik learned that he has to self dependent not because of others but for himself. In Nandini's crowded childhood she understood that she has to be self dependent not for herself but for the sake of others. Nandini is obliged to not wanna burden others with her worries because she's indebted to them. Manik is free from any obligation hence his ease in dealing with stuff..

I do agree. I won't rate Manik and Nandini's loneliness because both of them have lost a lot in their whole life. And yes Dhruv's there but Manik has never shared much with Dhruv and Dhruv hasn't understood him so many times and vice versa. I still feel it's more manbir than manruv when it comes to understanding and communication. but how much can the company of friends dilute from your life the absence of elders? Nandini has that edge of maturity to her, that edge of taking right decisions that Manik solely and utterly lacks and that's where he always messes up. Where he pays the price with his eff ups.

And Nandini lacks friends, true friends with whom she can share everything, who make her trust herself, who make her believe in the goals she have, who help her when she's in doubt and those things cannot be discussed with elders, or who just tell her let's chill and take her out.
both of them equal one another in a way.
