But that is the thing , how does this twisted , dysfunctional equation has and could have affected the child Manik is where I stop seeing her as the mother.

She is darn fascinating, a major power player but that is all for me. the push and pull between Manik and her would be all blood. She will never let go of him and he will try to break free.

Yep. And music is Manik's way of breaking free. & both the mother and the son know it. That conversation post-Musicana where he goes to 'thank' her for the contract? So telling. Which is exactly why I found it so darn interesting that Noyonika chose to tell him how his own freedom is in danger due to his recklessness. This woman makes me so curious.

Nyonika gives me mixed feelings - As a mother, I do not sympathsize with her character, YET I get her. She is one intriguing character with a backstory that will unfold in the near future - I doubt she was always like this. There must have been something, some seed or root to have made her the way she is now - Her absent husband? Her own childhood perhaps? Is this how she deals with things in her life? I want to get inside her head and know how it functions...yet I know that the deeper we dig in, the more I will despise her as a character - its dark in there.

Manik's "Get out" now gave me hope - He can handle her, YET, makes me wonder how was his childhood? Was he able to fend her off this easily or how much did he endure to break free?

In some way or another - Nyonika will always linger and loom over Manik...It is only Nandani who can really take him out of her shadow - and I am not saying that all her qualities are bad, she has her own way of dealing with things, and most of them seem to have passed onto Manik because that is what he has grown up with...He will completely break free though, as an individual, as a teenager, and as a man, he will find happiness, eternal happiness.

P.s. - KISHWER THOUGH. She is ahmazing! Parth and Her - So on point!

Even though Manik said all sorts of things of partying and being free of Nandini, I dont think he will be able to give her up. Though her words of " Something should have been there for it to end" seems to have hurt him quite a bit.

It's more like , he represents something from her past and present , a symbol of her own soul crushing that she cannot part with. So Manik needs to be alright so that she can survive with their dysfunctionality.

I cannot recall one bit where his actions influenced by her events have fixed him or made him a better individual.

"Fixing him" is very subjective to interpretation.. fixing not necessarily for his benefit or betterment but to suit her view of who/what he should be.. she doesn't love/hate him as a specific emotion.. it is the entire spectrum for them.. she loves/wants/needs her 'control' the most.. when he is an asset to that end. she loves/approves of him.. when he is hurdle to that she 'hates'/disapproves of him.. she is not a sentimental person so this is the only extent she permits her emotions to surface upto..

As for their past.. i have no idea.. regardless it doesn't change their dynamic..

The part that i actually did not like about Harshad Nyonikas talk was where Harshad says, she would be happy knowing Manik was hurt,... he said that so confidently which means he has done that before and she has been happy about that.. may be in the child hood. She has used Harshad to hurt Manik and enjoyed in seeing him hurt which made Harshad carry on with his act further thinking he would always have Nyonikas support.

@wish and Mais you two reading and watching some dark stuff. I like that you are able to walk all around Nyonika's persona and gauge her purely as a person. But when you start adding relationships, responsibilities and motherhood, I find it hard to understand why a person like her would decide to have a child. As I said before I completely respect a woman's choice to stay away from motherhood but why make that choice in the first place. She is smart enough not to get knocked up or be hapless when faced with an undesirable situation so why draw the first blood.
A child in her case would not project any self assured ness and if she needed him as a pawn, then that makes it all the worse.
Manik will emerge out of this relationship not unscathed but I feel ready to heal. But Nyonika as a mom,no I'm not sure...

I think Noyonika telling him about the freedom thing is her enjoying or relishing the momentary control she has over him. Manik is water, like Dhruv said, noone can hold him or reign him for long.
Thats why even his relationship with Nandu is going to interesting, she is the one who follows rules by the books and Manik is the rebel without a cause.
