Manik's hand is already hurt..I so don't want him to get hurt again while saving Nandini. The Noyonika -MaNan faceoff will happen eventually, but not now, there is still so much that these two have to go through together before they come up against her.

Yeah, his confrontation with Dhruv did not have much heat.From the first day, there was more beef with Cabir after Manik and Mukti.
That kid Harshad must feel some form of gratitude mixed in with jealousy towards Dhruv.Dhruv was there too.He feels thankful because he wanted to save himself but didn't want Manik hurt or dead either-- they werethe friends after all.
And years after that it was the same, while Manik pushed him away and moved on while he was still obsessing over the night, the guilt, the jealousy.
Then Alya chose Manik over him.
The early attempts to break fab5 might be out of the reason that the friend in him still couldn't deal with the fact that Manik left him and them made new friends and then some.Like, he was stuck in a limbo, thinking Nanik would have died without Dhruv and that he was safe at least.
He might even have felt guilty for not feeling that guilty about saving himself.


Then in his need to break Fab5 and make Manik pay for leaving him, and making his sister love him more than her own brother, he did more stupid shit which left them the enemies they are now.

His hate for Cabir might be out of the sole reason that he was Maniks friend, a complete stranger who he couldn't break and who was loyal to Manik to the fault and Fab5 like no ones business.
Just think, Manik, Alya and Dhruv he knew from before and has history with-- sister, brother like friend, sautan brother.
Maniks group was complete with Mukti and Cabir -- two strangers who came even after Dhruv. Harshad considers them the weakest links.
Cabir has been someone who is just Manik's friend without any personal or individual history between them.
He got to Mukti and almost broke her away from Fab5, was almost successful in making her choose him over Fab5-- Meaning Manik.
Cabir was the only one he couldn't even get close to and break him away from Manik.His chance came only this time around and he failed.
