IDK MAN. IDK. He himself doesn't know what to do with a tangle of such intense emotions? he's so confused, and he's hurting. he just wants to wrap himself up in her embrace and be lost for an eternity, but he cannot do that. And stopping himself is killing him every moment, slowly, painfully.

He was the monster for her, he still is but she was the only one who peeled the mask and confronted the real him. Let him share her light and gave him the love that he has desired for long. He finally could be himself -all of it infront of her. He liked being himself , no pretense , no more hiding and no veil. But then that was all a dream, the reality of his life, the need to be the saviour. The friend who has to protect, the one who has to burn - he thought it will be possible.

Exactly. Manik, for the first time in his life, brought out that soft, sweet boy. The boy who wasn't afraid of telling her that he wasn't perfect, he wasn't concrete. That he had a vulnerability, he was afraid of darkness, but she, she was his shield, he didn't fear the darkness when she was there. She was his light, his star. He was blossoming like a flower, and then he was crushed, brutally.

But then there she was all broken , questioning everything , every happiness and every moment he shared with her- the real him. He can take her hate, he can live with his hurt but what he cannot bear is she not trusting him. He couldn't have her not trusting him. She has to know , she has to remember their moments untarnished with the great lie.

Manik is a foolishly innocent guy in so many ways. He has no idea how to love, he just loves raw and hard and red. She can hate him all she wants, but he won't let her not see who he is, too. for the first time someone saw him for who he was, he won't let her take that from him. She'll not think all those things were fake when they're the definition of the true him. He won't let her throw away everything that had made her fallen in love with him in the first place. Because, he most probably, isn't ready for her to not love him <33

She is his light and he cannot share her. He won't be able to and now she is left with no light . She has given it all to him. Her fireflies are all his. He has seen her give up on them- the one her mother wished on her. Her tears were because of him and he has felt the hurt. She hates the fireflies and it's all his. He won't share her , he just cannot.


Exactly! He thought he could do it, but he's realizing, badly enough, that he cannot! he CANNOT. he's hurt her terribly and her breaking dreams are hurting him a hundred times more. he's burning.

Once you have got the love you always waited for, you cannot let it go away so easily. His mind may want to walk the sacrificing path for his brother/friend but his heart is not willing to let it go. He has been in the dark for the longest to bear someones hatred even if he wanted her to hate him. Glad that he clarified some of the MUs!
