*khushi ke ansu ka tsunami*
Murthys be adorable yo! Every one of them is such a big bundle of awesomeness! They light up my screen when they are together. Chacha Chachi sternly telling Nandu to stop the frowns and smile only. Chacha and Nandu's understanding look when Chachi talks of her cake, Chacha's suspicious looks to Dhruv, and Chachi hiding Nandu behind her and scolding Dhruv for coming over so late. SO DARN PRECIOUS!!! Like I said, Nandini needed this light family time..the girl is finally at the moment where it would all come crashing down on her.
Chachi's bias for Manik is so obvious that it's endearing. Even Chacha has no objections to all 6 feet something inches of Manik being in their house at about 4 AM in their place. It's like they have already accepted Manik as one of their own and treat him as such. I can so see Manik pehle feeling a bit uncomfortable at all this attention Murthys shower on him but then getting all used to it. Fab5 may be his family but he finds his home in Nandini. And since Nandini's home lies in these adorable Murthys, Manik automatically gets full access to them.
It broke my heart seeing Nandini talking to her empty jar. I am glad that she retained her jar and kept it with her. She has had a relationship with all that the jar symbolized for all her life. She can't let go of it all that easily. When she said that she is a science person so how could she believe in her mother's theory about the fireflies... the pain man, the pain. It was like she was ripping a piece of her own being and throwing it away. I can not emphasize enough on the thing that it was her MOTHER'S gift to her, the theory and the fireflies. Her mother who is dead. The mother who nothing and no one can replace. When we are parted from someone as special as a mother, we cling to their littlest things as their mementos to create an illusion of them still being with us. Whenever the fireflies glowed, the smile that came on Nandini's face was indication of the solace she felt that yes, her mother is still around. She is watching her. When she talked to her fireflies, she was somewhere communicating with her mother and telling her all about these new feelings she is feeling as she's growing up. It was all much more than just a way of knowing if the love is true or not..the fireflies were like her mother's presence in her life. And she is parted from them...god, this girl and the pain she has had to go through in one night..
I love it how Nandini reached out to touch Manik, not believing that he was there. This makes Nandini more real, her pain more relatable. This denial that we feel and this crazy hope we have ke maybe it's all a dream, maybe we'll blink and things will be normal, the tragedy reversed - Nandini is feeling that. In her most broken states, like the shadow scene and today..the mere thought of Manik being there fills this girl with hope. It's a hope she dare not think to be true but she wants him there. Her heart yearns for him, to hold her and tell her that she's fine, he's there and that the most beautiful moments of her life need not turn into her nightmare. But as soon as her mind takes over, she recoils and jumps back and away.
Manik...man, the way this guy is still true to his roots give me such joy. When Nandini accuses him of everything that happened to her, when she questioned every precious thing that passed between them, as she should..he didn't waste time in proving her wrong. On a logical note, he should've let her think all she wants. After all, he wants her to hate him, right? To stay true to his Monster image, he could've agreed to it. But see..that's not Manik. The biggest thing about Manik is that he wants things to happen on his own terms. I have been saying this since the beginning, that the moment anyone dares make their own image of Manik in which he has no say, he snaps. And he makes sure that person thinks of him as he wants them to think of him. Only Nandini got her way with him. She stubbornly addressed the good in him, ignoring the Monster image he was hell bent on upholding. He was irritated first but then he warmed to it and liked it. By knowing that here is someone who will see the side of him which he hides regardless of his wishes, he got the freedom to show that side without much restrains. Today, Nandini with her accusations took away that guarantee from him. And that made Manik tick. Yeah, he wants her to stay away from him but on his own terms. He wants her to think the worst of him but only what he wants herto believe. There lies Manik's biggest trait and flaw - this need to control all around him. I hope after all this he learns that he can not control and dictate what others feel. Everyone has the right to feel what they want and we have to be accepting of that. I hope Nandini drills it in his head that he doesn't have the burden of the world on his shoulders..that letting others take some control of the situation is how we live in the world with some peace and ease..
Yay to Manik FINALLY questioning the fireflies! Boy, when you know what you made her lose...damn, you better have some hell to pay.
Dhruv's happy infatuation is part nice and part annoying. Because I see my Babies in pain and then by comparison I see him all happy and I get all confused..main kya karoon tera Dhruv?
Deleting material signs of being together doesn't erase all the memories. As the night approached the dawn, they might have made efforts to finish everything between them but those tears proved that it won't be that easy. They aren't a 'raat gayi baat gayi' wala qissa...so much unsaid and unresolved still lays there.
Cabir's mom (I need a better identification for her xD) is reacting so typically and realistically. Though I couldn't stop imagining Kiron Kher with her jhadoo as she tries to beat the Gay Bhoot away from Abhishek's body when she said ke she will take control of Cabir's situation now. Cabir knows his mother, I loved how he said that he knew what her reaction would be when he saw her expression. He is chilled out now, happy with his Fab5 family as the prospect of their bright future cheers them all up. He is fine with Raghav walking away. But the way I see it, he is only avoiding it. Putting it all away to deal with it later on. Purely human thing to do, avoid it and hope ke it would be all okay. Except that it doesn't...
...which leads me to repeat how ESSENTIAL Nandini is for Cabir because she can make him confront it all and talk about it and help him deal with it all. THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS FATED CVS, DON'T FIGHT DESTINY!!!
