I think it was instinctive of manik to blurt out what he noticed immediately off about her.

But when he realized what he said a split second letter, he wants to cover it up hastily and so blasely told her to ignore it.

It's as if he can't control himself when he is with her...that seemed a little insensitive on his part if we look at it from nandu's pov seeing how she deliberately avoided putting on those earrings just a few minutes back to escape those very same memories that he brought up again with his observation.

How can they ignore each other when everything she does reminds her of him? And out of a dozen people in the room he has eyes only for her?

They are so engrained in each other's lives that they can't go back at this point. They're in too deep. I wanna scene where just for a moment Manik gives up his act and Nandini forgets and they just sort of hug.
