It bothered me too. A lot.
I get what Mais is saying that Harshad had it coming. But what I didn't like is that they had to use another gay, make fun of him, to put down Harshad.
How is that justified?
Harshad needs all the stinky slippers and rotten eggs. But did the other guy in the video need all that mockery? Cause it was mockery. And Harshad was just mocked by association. The main MOCKERY was of the gay guy. Cause yeah...You're looked down upon if you dance with a homosexual with an eccentric wardrobe. That makes you look stupid. And yesss... you deserve the jeering.
HAHAHAHA. So FUNNY. NOT.
PS- Am Pallo :)

Like I said above, I am not defending Cabir. Just merely trying to analyze where he came from. The right thing is always to take the high road and let the responsible authorities take control. But tell me, if we were to do that, will we remain the hot blooded youth that we are? Had Cabir done all that, it would've all backfired with all this ending in a fight and nothing gained but more sourness to deal with in terms of revenge. Cabir, by doing this, not only did the right thing of saving an innocent girl, but he also got his own revenge on Harshad. If we are to take the high morality and the generaly right thing to do out of the equation and just concentrate on the characters and the context of it all..I don't think it's all that wrong.

I understand all the justifications, I really do. But justifications come afterwards. When I watch a show, I don't hope to be repelled by it or go what the eff. If an episode does that, it's a fail for me.
If it hadn't been pointed out I would have never guessed Cabir didn't actually do the drugging, but merely manipulating it. And seeing the response many people didn't know either.Over all a poor episode, for me.Cheers guys I've go now, it's late here. Here's hoping it's a better episode tomorrow.

Yeah, totally butting in here đ
Maybe I misinterpreted the video but the way I saw it, it wasn't mocking the gay guy. In my head, the scene was totally 18+ so high chances that I could be wrong. But to me it seemed like Harshad just took the first person who came in front of him to please himself down there (I am not making it dirty, mereko aisa hi laga tha scene đł) The gay person didn't deliberately approach Harshad to chance marofy on a hot guy like we see gays do in stereotyped Bwood movies, I genuinely felt that he just bumped into Harshad and Harshad got all pleased seeing him there and began to dance with him.
Manik wasn't laughing at the mocking which was done. He was laughing at Harshad. Harshad, the straight guy who had riled everyone up against Cabir's homosexuality and used it as an excuse to beat him, he wasn't all that resistant to male charm. Take away his inhibitions and put him in front of a guy, his hormones don't care about which sex the other person belongs to. Harshad wanted people to laugh and ridicule at Cabir's video. Cabir turned the tables and made Harshad taste what it feels like when one's private moments are showed for the public to display and joke around.

It's not that he made a video or it's not that he took revenge. Both those things are fine by me. It's that it was date rape and homosexuality that, to me, seemed made light of, that bothered me.

Yes, I will agree that overall, the episode wasn't the best. It had its moments but it had more issues than things that worked in its favor.
I know you are talking about you personally but for me, that's the beauty of discussing an episode. It works both ways. Sometimes I get so happy seeing something but later on when I read feedback about it, I see it in a new light and realize the issues with the thing. Then there are times I am mighty disheartened by a certain thing and discussing it with others, reading their POVs take away that gloominess somewhat so I can laugh about it. The feelings that come first when I see something, they are hardly ever constant. They either grow or shrink when I think about it later. Idk if I am making sense or not. But no show always gives perfectly written episodes. Downs do come.
