IKR. I think Cabir's situation has made him so perceptive, something which happened subconsciously-- He had his own burden, a secret he has been hiding so thoroughly for years and we got to see how he mentally prepared himself and put on the wacky, carefree facade before coming in front of his friends after the break up.
He is no less of an actor himself. Hence, He can't help but notice when Manik puts on his act as well. He probably sees the same ticks and holes in Manik's behavior and act that he sees in his own and has been trying to hide. Cabir does it because of his secret, his truth so it is a logical conclusion that Manik is doing it to hide his own truth, his ONE TRUE LOVE *sigh*😭. Hence, he backs Manik up when Mukti gets suspicious about MaNan. But when they are alone, he is quick to tease about the Nandini situation as well. Probably even finding it a go-zone, since Cabir seems to have an inkling of Manik-Alya breakup as well so hinting that Manik might have something going on is fine. He sees how Manik- Alya are putting on an act, like he was doing himself. He already questioned Manik on his 'Nandini Nandini' chant and asked him, 'dude what the hell is going on with you, wanna share or what?'.Then he noticed Nandini trying to divert the Raghav-Manik face off too.
After all this is over, he will probably be the one to notice how 'off' Manik is being.
When Manik told him that he was Cabir's mirror, I think it applied the other way around too they are so much alike on that deeper level. They are each other's Inner Voice at this point. If they ever need to understand their own situations, they might as well look at the other's to get it.
