What would YOU do?

So, I keep reading so many topics on how stupid it would be if Manik leaves Nandini. And how no one is so 'mahaan' these days and all. So, it got me thinking what would I have done if I was in such a situation?

I'm really really really really close with my best friend. And we had promised long ago that we would never let a guy come between us. So I was wondering that if it happens that both of us ended up falling for the same guy what would I do? And i realised that I wouldn't be able to go ahead with the relationship. And I know that if I would tell my best friend that the guy and I, we are in love, she would happily give us our blessing but i will never be able to let go off the feeling that I was betraying her. Nor would I be able to let go off the guy, so basically i would be in a fix like Manik.


So, if you guys happened to be in Manik's place what would you have done? Would you choose a person you've known for 100 days over a person who's been there for you for the past n no. Of years?

And even if you go ahead with the relationship and your Dhruv says he's okay with it would your friendship stay the same?

What all options does Manik have?

i m not against manik taking a decision to be away from nandhini...
i understand he values his friendshp a lot...
but at the same time he doesnt have any right to break someone else trust n soul...
that cant be justified...
here the situation is complex... no one will be happy at the end of the day...
manik will be heart broken... he will never be able to get over the guilt of destroying nandhini's trust n breaking her beyond damage...
nandhini will be shattered... she wont trust ny one... n this i m telling from my own experience... if u trust some one with ur life n the same person breaks it, u l be in state of mind where u l isolate urself frm everyone... trusting someone again will be the hardest thing in ur life...
if dhruv find out manan breakup occured bcoz of him then he l die out of guilt... if that doesnt happen then he l long for the love for his entire life n he l be denied of the same...

for me truth s bitter... it causes immense pain... but that is for a shorter span of time... because with time we will discover the truth saved them all... n the pain will no longer exist...

I will go ahead with the guy I love if he loves me as well. Why give my BFF false hopes? I have always been honest with her coz THAT'S exactly how two friends function!

We are 'friends' not 'mother-hens' or 'chickens'.

Yes it will be a bit awkward, a bit painful, but what are BFF's for?

Even I don't say sacrifices happen in real life. But everyone here is naturally assuming it's infatuation from Dhruv's side. Let's just say it was actual true love. Only a 'bit' awkward? A 'bit' painful? Especially when these two people supposedly hated each other?

Even if you're THIS close, I doubt the friendship would stay the same. Survive maybe, but exactly like before? I doubt.

I actually have no complaints with the current track, like you said realistically what they are showing is right. Besides, I think the current track will make the MaNan story more intense and strong. :)

THAT'S what I mean. If in real life sacrifices don't happen in that same real life, relationships are fragile as eff. You just can't have both.

I'm not justifying anyone. I'm not saying who's right or who's wrong. I just want to know what would you have done in such a situation?

You would tell the truth to both right? After that, what? You expect both relationships to stay the same?

So the bottom line is that this sacrifice thing ain't gonna work out and Manik is going to end up with Nandini and one way or another Dhruv is still going to end up getting hurt. :/
