"What?? " Dhruv asked looking at Manik as if he had two heads, shock reflected on his face, "You love Nandini TOO?" Dhruv asked again to a silent Manik, who had no answers, his eyes downcast, "Manik answer me dammit don't just stand there quiet, it is creeping me out. " Dhruv exclaimed in an angry tone, harshly holding Manik's arm he turned him around to face him and said yet again, "Temme buddy answer me this silence is killing "
"What do you expect me to say Dhruv, do you want me to say that I love her more than life or do you want me to say that she means the world to me or this that I love her irrevocably or this that I feel like crap for loving the girl whom my best friend loves and I feel like shit for not liking the fact one bit that someone wants her as much as I want her. I hate it Dhruv, I hate it so much, I dun wanna hurt you but I don't wanna hurt her either. I dunno what to do in this situation, you both mean a lot to me. " and he sank to his knees shedding those unshed tears which he was holding back. Silence persisted for a while between them until Dhruv came forward and putting a hand on his shoulder he said in a heavy tone, "Don't give up on her if you love her buddy, she is not someone to give up on. "and he turned away from Manik wiping away his tears silently.
"What, No Dhruv I can't do that to you, I just can't be happy in my life while you mourn over you broken heart, it is not something I would do to you Dhruv, I won't forgive myself if I did that. " Manik exclaimed in a surprised tone, turning towards Manik Dhruv put on a sad smile," I misplaced pure friendship for love maybe Manik, just a mistake." and his voice broke over the word mistake.
"Shedding tears for her and calling it a mistake doesn't justify your explanations Dhruv."
"So what are we gonna do then Manik both of us love the same girl and want her as much as the other person wants her, do you see a way out in this situation no right so just quit being stupid Manik." Dhruv exclaimed frustrated
"I do see a way out Dhruv and that would be me stepping out of the way for you and Nandini, besides she is too good to be with a monster like me." a sad smile graced his lips as he said that and a tear leaked out again. "You wouldn't try anything like that Manik it'll mess up three lives, you and Nandini are meant to be, I need to step down here "
"Did someone care to ask me what I wanted " Nandini said in a hurt tone, tears falling rapidly down her face.
