Manan-The Frest Start

"Hello.. Manik is it you?" asked a voice which was full of tension.

"Yes. Who is it? Nandini.. You or what? Why you have not come to College today?" asked Manik in one breath.

"Am not Nandini.. I am her chachi. Manik From yesterday night Nandini had not opened her door" said Nandini's chachi panicking.

"What? Is she alright?" asked Manik.

"She is answering all my questions in yes and no.. She had not eaten anything from yesterday night." Said Chachi.

"I am coming. Nothing will happen to her" said Manik and cut the call. He is crying. He sat on the corridor. No he cannot just sit and cry. He have to talk to her. He cannot stay like this.

He ran towards the College's parking lot.

Fab 5's other members saw him.

Mukti, " Manik"

No he can't hear any voice and hedon't want to. He bumped against Dhruv who was sitting alone being upset.

" Manik what happened?" asked Dhruv.

" No.. I just have to go.. urgently" said Manik.

" Manik I want to tell you something."

He cannot waste time but he had to hear his best buddy's words.

"Yes. Say.."

" Manik Nandini is a very good girl. But she was upset and angry when I was about to propose her yesterday. So I had not proposed her. Let our relationship be till friend ship only. I still don't know her heart. I don't understand her so well. Let me take some time to understand her. Then I will propose her if she feels the same for me. Otherwise no.." said Dhruv seriously.

"Thanks Dhruv now I have to leave Bye" said Manik.

" Thanks.. but why thanks?" Said Dhruv but till that time Manik was gone.

" What happened to him?" asked Cabir.

" Don't know?" said Dhruv.

" He is behaving like he is loosing his love for forever and he want to catch her and pull her to his arms" said Cabir.

Alya became uncomfortable.

Mukti gave a playful slap on Cabir's head.

" Idiot Alya's still here. Maybe he went for some other work." Said Mukti.

That side Manik driving his car at a high speed.

Flashback*

" Nandini you have to accept Dhruv. He loves you a lot" said Manik to a panicking Nandini.

" Manik first you are behaving so rudely with me today and now you are telling me to accept Dhruv. I am not a thing. I also have feelings" said Nandini to justify herself.

" I am the Monster you only tell me that. Now I am behaving like that. I cannot see my best buddy in pain." Manik spoke out.

" Okay.. now you spoke the reason behind your this behaviour. I know very well that a very good person. Right now you were these just for Dhruv's sake" said Nandini.

"No am doing this for myself cause I love hurting you." Said Manik to justify himself.

"Oh really?" Nandini came near him and cupped his cheeks, " You promised you would never hurt me.. and if I stick to my words now I should not forgive you for these."

Manik was getting weak by her touch. So he left at that very moment.

Flashback Ends*

Manik was crying from yesterday only but it was not visible to anyone. And now whole Mumbai is witness of his tears. He is crying while driving.

Manik reached Nandini's house.

Chachi opened the door.

" Manik am taking Rishabh out. Take your time but please handle Nandini. We are her elders she may be uncomfortable to share with us but you are her friend. You were always with her so she may feel at ease to share her feelings with you." And Chachi left with Rishabh saying that if he could handle her than made her eat something.

Manik went upstairs. He started knocking her door. Her could heard her sobbing.

" Nandini.. Nandu...Please open the door"

Yes she recognized the voice.

" Manik.. what are you doing here? Just leave me alone. Please" said Nandini.

"Please let me come in.. I want to see you. I want to see you are alright." Said Manik pleading.

Nandini opened the door.

He came and cupped her cheeks then he noticed that her room was messed up. Vases broken, Artifacts lying on the floor. Bed sheet half on bed and half on floor.

He saw her face being shocked.

Then he saw blood stains on the pieces of broken vases.

He checked her hands immediately and found deep cuts.

" Nandu?" He gave a panicking look at her. He made her sit on the cushions of the couch which was near her window.

" Where is the first aid box?" asked he.

She wasn't replying. He could see her red eyes which was a proof that she hadn't slept the whole night and was crying.

" Nandu where is first aid box?" this time said with a deep voice.

" There.." she pointed the direction to the the drawer of the cupboards.

He brought the box and bandaged her cuts.

She wasn't crying in pain since her heart was aching more but he was crying seeing her in pain.

" Why did you do this?" asked Manik.

" Cause I don't love Dhruv"

" Is that the only reason behind hurting yourself like this." Asked Manik.

" You want to know.. you really want to know?" asked Nandini angrily " Then listen. I cannot love Dhruv since his best friend has took that place." She held his collar of the jacket tightly " Yesterday only I realized that I can bear your tortures but I cannot bear to stay far from you. I cannot give or share the love which is for you. I love you only you. I have fallen for that person whom I used to hate the most. I love you" said Nandini.

Manik pulled her in his arms. She started crying like a baby. He calmed her down by shuffling his hands on her head.

"Nandini you know what.. I also love you" mumbled Manik.

She pulled from the hug and looked a him with a pure and innocent face.

" I shouldn't take this step. It would only destroy three lives and can't do anything more. I promise never to leave you and this time I really really meant it. Let the world turn upside down I will be always for you." And he kissed her fore head. She hugged him tightly.

" Now you should eat something" said Manik

She just nodded her head like a baby.

He went downstairs to bring food for her. She made the bed perfect. She started cleaning the room.

Manik came with the food. He saw her picking the broken pieces of the vases. He kept the food on the table. And took the pieces from her hand and started picking them up.

" Manik you don't know how to cut a lemon and you are picking up these. You will get hurt Let me do it." Said Nandini.

"No.."

"Manik.."

"Just sit in on the couch.."

She obeyed his words. After picking them he fed her the food.

"You should sleep now"

" You had fed me the food now you only have to make me sleep" said Nandini.

"Come I will make you sleep.. my bacchha"

Nandini gave a satisfaction smile.

She kept her head on his chest. He hold her hand and started singing.

She slept. He laid her on the bed comfortably. He was about to leave when he saw her hand was holding his. He came near her and kissed her fore head.

In sleep she mumbled " Manik.. this time keep your promise.. Never leave me alone.. I love you more ..than myself."

A drop of tear rolled his cheeks.

" I love you too.."

And the fireflies in Nandini's room.. They just glowed observing and being witness of

TRUE LOVE!!
