MAnik: what has happened to me...?

Cabir: um...yesterday...night...

NAndini: I am sorry Manik...Had I known

MAnik kept his fingers on her lips.

Manik: Nandini I am fine...And guys...Thank you...but now everything is under control so let's get ready to rock in the concert...

Everyone heaved a sigh of relief that Manik was fine...

Mukti: thank god you are fine...we got so worried and then we thought Concert...

Alya: concert...What concert...

MAnik: at last you all realize the word concert...

Cabir: stop giving these dialogues. What concert...?

Manik: Fab 5 promotional concert for winning MUSICANA...

Everyone got excited.

Alya: OMG

Dhruv: Nyonika agreed...

Manik: yes. Nyonika agreed...

Cabir: how did she agree so soon this time...?

Manik glanced at Nandini who smiled back at him.

Mukti: and Romeo Juliet start again

They were embarrassed and looked other ways.

Cabir: by the way. I was thinking why don't you both go on an official date and do the staring sessions there...

Mukti: good idea...

Nandini: I have a class

NAndini tried going but Cabir pulled her back and pushed her making her land in Manik's protective arms...

Alya: look there they go again

Dhruv: yes buddy. I think you should go on a date

Mukti: then only you will focus on practicing for the concert...

Cabir: so done...Date...tonight at 6:30.be ready

Alya: yah .And wear read Nandini. Never seen you wearing that...

Mukti: yah...and Cabir keep roses everywhere alright...red .that will look nice...

Dhruv: and candle light dinner also...

Nandini pushed Manik and went away from there blushing. Manik smiled at her innocence and then encircled his arms around Cabir.

MAnik: I am the first person in this world whose date is being organized by his friends...My opinions are also not taken into account.

Cabir: that's because you are not a TLC material...

MAnik: TLC??

Mukti: okay. If everything is now sorted...Can we please focus on music...I wanted to really play some very nice music with the Fab 5 magic...

MAnik: what are we waiting for...?

The whole day was very busy for both Manik and Nandini. After their break Fab 5 finally sneaked Nandini out of the college. Manik, Dhruv and Cabir went to prepare for the arrangements and NAndini was taken by Mukti and ALya to dress up.

When Cabir dropped Nandini to the place Manik had told, Nandini was overwhelmed. She saw there were Chinese lanterns, stars, lamps, roses and most importantly photos of them together...Nandini eyes were searching for Manik. She looked at the photos and was reminiscing the moments they had spent together when something flashed in front of the screen...

The screen was projecting their special moments. Nandini was looking at those moments but she was still searching for Manik. She then heard him speak. He came from back and slid his arms around her waist. He then spoke to her.

Manik: You promised to trust me HUMESHA...I will always be in your prayers and your always there to shine for me...Nandini Moorthy I thank you for being in my life...For making me your monster...for loving me...And for being Manik's Nandini...Today Manik Malhotra...promises you that I will always protect you ...And I don't know what else to say...I have always been bad in expressing myself...You are the only one who understands me ...with whom even my silence speaks...I just want to say that I love you...I love you so much that even this 4 letter word is less to express my feelings...

Manik sighed. He then turned her towards him and rested his head on hers.

MAnik: I don't know what to say...I forgot everything...but today I will tell you what I feel for you...

Manik and Nandini smiled. He then left her and said

MAnik: miss me...I will be back...

Manik then came with his guitar and sang.

Nandini was so overwhelmed that she stood on her toes and kissed Mani's forehead. MAnik bowed down. She then kissed his both cheeks slowly. Manik was about to kiss NAndini but Nandini got shy and hugged him instead. Manik smiled at her innocence and then hugged her tightly and kissed her head.

NAndini stood on her toes to kiss MAnik and Manik too reciprocated. He was bending down and now their faces were very close. They were about to claim each other when Nandini's phone rang.

MAnik nodded his head and Nandini went to the other side to speak with her maasi. She returned with a sad look on her face.

MAnik: what happened...?

Nandini: sorry Manik...Maasi is calling me home...

NAndini: yes it's something urgent...

Manik: OK come then I will drop you to her house.

NAndini: No actually she is in cha-cha chachi's house...I need to be there...

Manik: OK I will drop you there...

Manik and NAndini reached in front of her house to be greeted by Chachi who was returning from market probably as she had many bags in her hands.

Chachi: arrey Manik...

Manik: Chachi...Let me help you...

Nandini: so many bags...where are you coming from...

Chachi: Sambhajviji has come Na. So I went to the market to buy some ingredients for dinner...And your Chahca has also returned...

Nandini: Chahca returned...

Chachi: yes he returned in the evening...And you know as soon as he came he told me that he missed my food. So thought of cooking something special for them...By the way Manik why don't you join us as well...

They had reached the house right now and were waiting for the door to open when they heard another voice speak.

Sambhavi; yes Manik. Why don't you join the dinner...I wouldn't mind revealing the surprise in your presence...

MAnik: alright...

They went in and Nandini helped Chachi in the kitchen whereas Manik sat on the hall with Chahca and Sambhavi. They were just talking about random stuffs when Manik came outside to attend a phone call. When he returned he found Sambhavi on the doorway.

Sambhavi: hmm...so I spoilt your date tonight...

MAnik: um...date...no I just dropped...

Sambhavi: ok so NAndini goes to college being so well dressed and you probably met her just outside the college...

Manik felt embarrassed.

Sambhavi: OH come on...I am not that dumb at all...

Manik: yeah. We had a kind of...

Sambhavi: ok I don't want to divulge into the details...

There was an awkward silence and then Sambhavi spoke again.

Sambhavi: you love her a lot...don't you...?

Manik: umm...huh...hmm...

Sambhavi: you know Manik...sometimes. Distance brings your loved ones closer...

Manik: what...

Sambhavi: True love does not mean to protect and be there always. Sometimes letting go at the right moment is also necessary...

Everyone was having dinner and manic and Nandini were stealing glances. They finished he dinner and Manik was about to leave when Sambhavi spoke.

Chachi: what to do Manik. Even we are not happy with the decision but for Rehab's treatment and Nandi's dream she has to go...

Sambhavi: this girl is crazy I tell you...Till last year she was ranting all the time .Take me to states with you...And now when I have finally managed it.she is again back to rant...

NAndini: so this was your surprise...

Nandini looked tearfully at Manik who looked too shocked to react.

NAndini: I did not expect it at all...

Chachi: It was a surprise Nandu...

They all laughed while Manik and Nandini were looking at each other all the while.

Sambhavi: OK Nandu...get Rishab's reports ready...And yes tomorrow we are going for shopping...Just important stuffs...We don't need many clothes. And then we are leaving on Saturday...I have done all the arrangements...Your visas and everything is ready...just doing the honors of coming with me...OK...

NAndini did not know what to say. She was just looking at Manik. She came out of her trance when Chachi shook her hands.

NAndini: huh...hmmm...

Manik: I am leaving...I am getting late...

Sambhavi: Oh I am so sorry Manik...Lets go...

Lovely chapter Shreya! The date was beautiful!
I'm happy about this separation...I would love it if Nandini and Manik established themselves individually and met a few years down the line...we could then have those moments all over again :D cuz if its true love, It ain't over.
Nandini needs to do what she's always dreamed of and stay true to herself. That's my POV that one shouldn't forget themselves when in love.
